  1. No, he was spoken to and made aware before Ralf went live - 100% fact. What I'd naively assumed though, is that before going live witch such strong statements, that they'd actually got his commitment on the matter. Club have played a blinder, fans will now blame Morgan and understand the clubs decision to let him go. I believe the saying goes...''We've been duped'' once again.
  2. They all want to leave, so indicates that they were all in this together and all want out together. And Spurs aren't a CL club.
  3. The togetherness was seemingly very strong, seeing as 1 of the lads going has created a bit of a domino effect. They were all in it together, and still are by the looks of it.
  4. I think they've easily been talking about the events of the last day, the interview etc. They're a close bunch and Morgan is a key member of that, so it's pretty easy to work out that a few players are on his side...and maybe someone took offence to that and said they needed to show a bit more respect to the club who pay their wages, then they fire back with the club should respect our wishes...etc etc. Probably the best transcription that will be made of it.
  5. Van Gaal's tough man approach could easily backfire. That's all he's portraying in the media.
  6. It happens everywhere and more often than we think. It's a good opportunity to make a big deal out of it though.
  7. This is the tweet - no idea how reliable the fella is. But bust ups happen all the time, sod it, I fall out with work colleagues during the day sometimes and we have our tiff. It's just the perfect atmosphere to bring this to the fore right now. Tim Pearson ‏@TimPearsonMedia 15m Hearing reports of a training ground bust up between 3 senior figures at Southampton. Unconfirmed at the moment. #SaintsFC #SFC
  8. Osvaldo's not back is he? We need to be careful here, the situation is a breeding ground for all sorts of rumours like this. There are always bust ups in training, more often than you think, but in a situation like this it obviously has a magnifying glass put on it.
  9. Pretty crap article, based on a 1 line tweet.
  10. The obligatory youtube video:
  11. Fantastic CB, cost them £15m last year. None of their buys last year were much cop. (Down to management more than anything) If I was Spurs, I'd have kept him and shipped out Kaboul who I think is crap. But if we do Vlad, then that's a great start. Left sided as well, so a like for like with Lovren.
  12. I honestly don't believe Spurs have the money. They put all their money in their bucket last year and spent £100m (Soldado- 30m, Laemlla - 35m, Chaldi - £16m, Vlad - £15m and the list goes on). I cannot see them spending close to what we want (£27m) on a single player, not sure they're in a position to do this. I mean, they couldn't even buy Ben Davies without swapping a player. That's the tactic they will use this summer, rather than outright buys I think. That's why I believe he may stay, as we're not going to get what we want - so that's a positive at least. Who knows though, if Arsenal don't get one of their 2 top targets (Bender or Khedira) then they may well be back.... But I have a feeling that we've out priced Morgan and clubs are baulking on him a lot more than they did on Lovren or Shaw.
  13. Jos.
  14. Kat ''Well done Ralf, you appeased the fans for what was 30 minutes. That's more than we've had for months, so we are grateful for that. So, has Morgan kicked up a fuss and thrown a rant?'' Reed ''Yes, he has.'' Kat ''Excellent. Ok, so where are we with the bids? Les, if you want to re-open talks with Tottenham and we can get this one done. This is why I hired you Ralf, you have used your skills to allow us to make this transfer and avoid the backlash we were going to get'' Ralf 'Not a problem, I'm glad I can serve this Southampton FC. I had many opportunities to go back into High level coac...'' Kat 'Ok Ralf, you've told me that. Reed - Apparently we need to bring in some players? Why? We only need 11 to start the season don't we? I counted a squad of 20 just now. Reed 'But the players aren't very good, we will probably end up getting relegated and end up in the Championship.' Kat 'But would it cost me less if we were to end up there?'' Reed 'Probably, yes. But incomes full massively Kat.' Kat 'I've just secured my income for the next 3 years, I don't really care about that. Have you seen Nicola Cortese's corridor? I cannot move for the money, it's amazing. If we can go down to the Championship and it's cheaper for me to run the club, then this is our vision. Reed - put this into plan, we need to get to the Championship. Reed ''Umm, OK. I'll do my best.' Ralf ''Did I tell anyone that I wrote a book once? I was also a hocky coa........''
  15. I would believe it, but we've sold Lallana, Lovren, Chamers, Lambert, Shaw, Morgan and Rodriguez are kicking up a fuss and want to go. Whilst we are being linked with 35 year old squad Italian defenders and Scott Sinclair. Excuse me whilst I plan my away days in Croatia.
  16. He has done that, twice. He has even been offered the captaincy. But the club misjudged the situation for what is the 100000th time this summer, and instigated transfer talks anyway. And then pulled it.
  17. To be honest, believing anything the board say kind of ended in the Chambers sale statement. ''We are determined to keep our best young players at the club''. That was in the Chambers sale statement, yep, it actually was. Go Reed.
  18. How do we intend to get to Europe the hard way, if they've been given the green light to reinvest £91m by the way? That would suggest we're going to buy our way into Europe, which would be the easy way. Excuse me whilst I invalidate his waffle.
  19. I personally expect and believe we will sell one of Cork, Morgan or JWP by the end of the window.
  20. Can't say for sure at the mo, as we have no idea what the squad will look like! So a few alternatives... But as it stands, a long winded relegation battle - but ultimate survival. Lose Jay and Morgan....relegation by some distance. But keep both, build on the squad with the likes of Rojo, Ings, Forster and co...and we could have a chance of being mid-table.
  21. I'd take Rodwell, although stay well clear of Sinclair and Guidetti - both damaged goods. Did you see Sinclairs impact at WBA last year? Their fans say he was the worst player they've seen down there in a while. And Guidetti hasn't played for ages since having a virus which effected the nerves in his legs. Rodwell, not bad, the other 2 - stay the **** away!
  22. I reckon we'll end up seeing Rojo and Virgil. Think Vlaar, for his age, will end up being a little too expensive. Virgil will be the same price/a little cheaper and has 4-5 years on Vlaar. (potentially his international replacement too). I wouldn't expect the club to go for Vlaar if they feel they can get those two. If we do end up with Vlaar, it won't be too bad, but will end up being at the end of the window and have scary comparisons with the rushed through Wayne Thomas deal.
  23. To actually have the guts to talk of Europe, after you've just sold 5 of your first team players - potentially soon to be 7, is ridiculous. It was a statement to appease the fans, we will not get near Europe in the foreseeable future.
