  1. It'll be someone like him or Mckay in my opinion.
  2. To be honest, I'm pretty open minded about stuff usually, but from afar we just look utterly rudderless with no idea what to do. All the waffle played out by Reed ''We're calm, we're always talking'' and ditto for RK, then silence. And then off goes the manager to another club. Always will be eternally grateful to ML and KL for what they've done in this club, but you only have to glance one eye at what KL did with the Mali businesses to get a little worried. (A complete downsize in operations for a start, and lots of quotes from staff saying that the new management were wandering around like headless chickens)
  3. I get a feeling they're running around not really knowing what to do, to be honest.
  4. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/478272/Tick-tock-Tottenham-to-appoint-EITHER-De-Boer-or-Pochettino-in-next-48-hours
  5. They could, but it's clear MP wants to leave IMO. As I said, if he wanted to stay here then this would have all been sorted out a few weeks ago - the fact it's dragged on has been to our detriment.
  6. Still of the opinion he's long gone, and has been for a few weeks. Spurs have been the ones hanging, but if he was staying here it would have been announced weeks ago IMO. It's ok, we've got a Bruce Arena and Malky Mckay dream team lined up.
  7. As much as Moyes rep. was crushed to smithereens this year, he's not turned into a bad manager overnight. A lot of it was simply the inconceivable mess that SAF left for him, but he did a good job messing it about some more tbf. But Moyes is a fit for our sort of club - never going to be a mega club, not going to be splashing £30m on signings etc - we'd need a manager who can pull out a few gems every now and then, and Moyes had a good record of working in quite difficult financial conditions at Everton. Brought through the likes of Coleman, Barkley, Rooney to name just a few as well. Personally if the worst does happen, we could do a hell of a lot worse than Moyes.
  8. TBF probably a lot than most of us! Would aid us in evolving to a yanky Southampton Saints. GO Saints!
  9. He's going, he's staying, he's going, he's staying, he's going, he's staying. Is that where we are this morning?
  10. Ah, so all the waffle about his job starting the Monday after the season finished, is again, nothing but waffle then? he does half come out with some crap!
  11. Twitter is making the closed season an utter nightmare! Every, tiny, incy little thing is being ripped apart, analysed, analysed again and then the analysed responses are analysed some more. We'll be talking earlobe sizes soon. Bring on the world cup...!!!
  12. Weren't we after him previously? He left Espanyol on a free and was linked to us and a number of clubs, but chose Betis. Can't say he's had an amazing season though.
  13. Not a dig at you Dan, as I like your twitter insights - but there is such an enormous amount of turd floating around at the moment, it's like wading through a bath of ****.
  14. To be honest, he did nothing in an incredibly poor Sochaux side to add any weight to the idea that he can make any sort of impact for us. He'll probably float off to a lower league somewhere.
  15. And if he goes, everyone will be sold, and no one will be signed? FWIW he looks long gone to me.
  16. Chambers to Spurs for £23m One thing I've gathered from this so far is that Grey is a popular t-shirt colour.
  17. He's one of ours.
  18. Wouldn't read anything to MP not being there today. Omar isn't what I'd call a first team player as yet, more of an U21 player. Players that sign extensions who are part of the FT (i.e Gallagher) will have MP with them.
  19. Quite interesting, seeing as Hodgson has said he wanted any transfer stuff sorted before the the world cup, that's quite a statement. Would at least indicate that clubs have tried, but haven't reached agreement with us and that the door is closed for now to allow him to focus on the WC. Would imagine clubs are baulking at the £30m or so, as he's not been proven at the top level yet - so I reckon a decent enough world cup will be enough for plenty of clubs to come knocking and probably match our asking price. So at least it seems as he will be one of ours at the WC.
  20. He's not a very good premier league defender though, decent at best but prone to errors and misjudgements on a regular basis. Chelsea are even deploying him in a CM role rather than CB these days. But I do agree that the PL transfer market is a wacky place, and we're well within our right to demand insane fee's for any of our players - and that may even work in our benefit, as who knows, we could be left with an entire team come august.
  21. David Luiz is in the process of completing a £40m (40 million FFS) transfer to PSG. (what the hell has he done to suggest he's worth that?). So...I would say Lovren should command at least £50-60m + if that's the level of money being ****ed about.
  22. Neither, all 3 complete and utter dross at this level. We need to avoid filling our squad up with dross, as it will only drag us down. Shola has scored 9 goals in 3 seasons, utterly pointless player. We need to avoid sweeping up the released players from our neighbours in the league as well, if he's not good enough as a squad player for NUFC, he's not good enough for us full stop.
  23. It's clear he's off tbh.
  24. I thought it was only 1? Lambert?
  25. Do you know when the big opportunity was actually missed? 15th Feb, 2014. We ****ed away a chance to actually win something, in favour of the race to finish 8th. The manager and most of the players are all being linked with big clubs for big money, so as we all knew - we have a hell of a lot of class here, so ****ing away the chance to win something with what will be our best 11 in decades is the opportunity that was missed.
