  1. Di Marzio now saying that Osvaldo to Juve is pretty much done, pushing to finalise tonight.
  2. It's a hell of a move for Dani if it happens, the run-away leaders in Serie A and one of the biggest clubs in the world. Great move for him, and let's make sure we make it a great move for us as well.
  3. The best bit is when he turns to the Arsenal fans in a ''Did you see that??? Did you??'' kind of way. Love him.
  4. His stats from last night: Passes completed: 63/68 Ball recoveries: 7 Tackles: 6 Interceptions: 3 Clearances: 1 Incredible really.
  5. I'm hearing Osvaldo to Juve on loan with a loan fee paid them €11m at the end of the season. With Vucinic coming on loan for rest of the season. Also another play could be coming in. From not606, but it's a poster with genuine ITK credentials over there. Interesting.
  6. Why on earth do they want to televise that? Odd.
  7. They bought into being offered lots of $$$$. That's the long and short of it.
  8. Cardiff City open discussions to sell £8.5m summer signing Andreas Cornelius back to FC Copenhagen - for a loss of about £5m, reports Wales Online. The 20-year-old has failed to score for the Bluebirds in 11 matches since arriving from the Danish club. These big striker signings haven't worked out for many. From what I can tell, the only 'big' summer striker signing who has made an impact is Negredo. Soldado, Ricky-van-whatsit, Osvaldo, Cornelious, Bony (to a degree), Altidore. All cost big, big money and have all been pretty frustrating for their clubs. Rumour also has it that Ricky-van-whatsit is being made available for transfer.
  9. It was a pretty classy finish, that was well manufactured. The error came from Jay Rodriguez, end of that.
  10. Nope, although I'd say that some of the journo's mentioning it are pretty coveted and knowledgeable of Italian football.
  11. You'd argue that the 2nd goal would have been sniffed out by Wanyama. I love Cork, he's been brilliant, but he doesn't sense danger in the same way as Wanyama does in that deep DM role.
  12. At the end of the day, is Wanyama going to be any better than Yoshida at CB? Probably not, but in the league isn't the place to try that sort of stuff. It can wait to pre-season, and let's be honest, the club aren't going to play CM's at CB whilst we have Jos and Maya available - and quite right too.
  13. Lukaku and Kone out for the season.
  14. They simply have no chance. He'd cost around £10m, they don't have that sort of money spare. They may get a loan in.
  15. Vucinc, Luis Muriel, Eder...Astori, Vela......all been linked over the last week or 2 Mirko Vucinic is looking the most likely going on the reports and the origins of the reports.
  16. Or not.
  17. That's why we love him!
  18. Yeah. To be fair, MP said he wants them in before deadline day. So we'll see it either today or tomorrow.
  19. In the first half he pulled their CB's all over the place, which opened up plenty of space. The only criticism I have is that he's not quite refined in terms of his touch, and there were situations last night where he could have done a lot better in terms of holding it up, passing it on...scoring..! but that's not really a big issue as he's only 18 and it will come. But he's got the attributes, if he continues with the coaches he'll be an able PL striker.
  20. To be fair, if he had regular goals and assists in his locker....he'd be up there with Iniesta and Xavi and wouldn't be at Southampton! It's not really a weakness I'd say, but it's a lack of his game which increases our chance of keeping hold of him!

Clyne seems to have replaced Lambo as your poster boy..!
  22. to be fair, he is coming back from injury..! But by that time we'd pinned them back, so they didn't have much of the ball. Shows how well we played really!
  23. Birmingham City are in talks to sign former Southampton defender Aaron Martin, Sky Sports understands. Martin was released by Southampton yesterday and Birmingham are interested in taking him on.

I think they're very similar in aspects of their game, but Clyne does him for pace, and that is an attacking outlet which we do miss when Clyne isn't around. It's a really tough call, because both of these guys are top, top draw. We've got a situation whereby we can tailor for the opposition now.
