He didn't do a great deal if I'm honest. A couple of opportunities where he was just brushed off the ball and played us into trouble, a couple of passes he just played to the opposition. A few good runs, but I just don't see how he fits in this team. He's not a player suited to a team which play a high press, he's too careless with his passing and too weak when in possession and it will put us into trouble far too often.

But we're 1 game, against Sunderland, from being in the quarter finals - at home. As far as I'm concerned, this is our best and only current realistic chance for any real trophy challenge this year.

Jay Rod is in a completely different league to Ormerod, let's be honest. Light years apart in ability. Can't say I've ever seen the compassion, and if there ever was, the person making the comparison was clearly off their rocker.

I don't think we will ever score lots of goals. I said it a few weeks back, we'll win lots of games 1-0, 2-0, a few 1-1's, 0-0's. Make no doubt about it, this is not a high scoring side, you can see it in the make up. But that's been sacrificed in order to make us one of the best defensive units in European football. I know what I prefer, and it's not like we're boring to watch either. We're just very patient, disciplined, organised and professional. For example, if we're 1-0 up or 2-0 up we're the sort of side who will just shut up shop and close the rest of the game up, rather than go in search for more goals and open it up for no reason. That's what I think we're evolving into, and I don't see it as a problem. We don't and won't constantly attack teams with pace and power down the flanks under MP - and the fact we don't, isn't a fault. This is our style.

Yes. We have a genuine chance to progress into the later stages. This is our only realistic route to Wembley and Europe if we're honest, not sure why people belittle it.
-
We'd be second, the perennial under achievers.

He's predictions for us are clearly directed to get annoy us, he's just on a massive wind up. He's battered on twitter by Saints fans. So what better way to get his revenge than wind us up even more...!
-
It's a joke, just look at his posting history. Anyway, he's another great find. It goes to show that sometimes players don't fit a club, as we've found with some players over the years. But us and Lovren just fit....he's perfect for us, seems a real top bloke.

It's a great story, it really is. To be where we are now and still have Lallana, Fonte, Morgan, Lambert, Guly in the side is just immense. One of the best built spines, ever. Pardew has to take a lot of credit for that.

This will be our toughest game of the season, in my opinion. We did amazing to beat Liverpool, but you need to remember that they were all over the show that day with a random formation that simply didn't work. Utd were just out of any sort of form, as Stoke also proved - almost. Stoke on the other hand are still a tough nut to crack, but they've got a little more verve in their play now and will have some confidence.

It's a Saturday. 3pm KO as per normal.

The posters with the extreme opinion's don't surprise me, always the same crew. I'm sure 90% of the time it's to grab some sort of reaction. To come to these opinions after 4 games is utterly stupid either way you look at.

Delph is alright, but is another ''save'' option. We need skill and ability in the squad, not more plodding CM's.
-
For me, Lallana is a shoe in for the next squad. Not even just a token place on the bench either, he should start. There's no one else in his position that is British who is as bright and lively as he is this season. He should be picked, but should also start for England.
-
An imperious performance, as comfortable as we've looked at home in years and years. Fulham didn't offer a great deal....but we didn't allow them to. Our pressure is second to none and there is not a team in this country that plays like us, and teams simply cannot deal with it if we're on our game. Our passing today was accurate, incisive and positive. The drive and determination shown by the likes of Lallana and Rodriguez summed us up. A British core, working hard together as a team. It's a joy to watch and we should all make the most of this. As good a saints team I've seen in recent history, we're bloody lucky.

They should go for a HT sacking.

Man Utd are losing to Stoke. How much longer can they give Moyes?
-
We wanted Adomah very strongly when he was at Barnet, we had 2 bids knocked back. We wouldn't pay the asking price, and Bristol City did. He was going to be the Antonio replacement, but we actually already had one in Chamberlain, so it all worked out in the end.
-
Palace look utter trash. They're long gone, already.
-
People need to disconnect from the fee. seriously.
-
Lovren is class, better than I've seen at my club for a long time. But the defensive resolve is down to a lot more than just 1 player.
-
For me, Davis is one of the first names on the team sheet at present. Excellent bursting forward and adds a lot of energy in the middle of the park. He's been one of MP's best players ever since he's been in the building, he's completely suited to his style.

Umm, ok then.
