  1. Nope, I really couldn't give two hoots about that to be honest. I just find you incredibly boring and tedious. Drop the act.
  2. But overall we have had an excellent start to the season, no matter who we have played against. Your point against Norwich not being great is interesting, as that kind of confirms that no game in this league is easy. You can't take any for granted. We haven't, we're defensively outstanding, gritty and determined.

Can't be arsed to read back, but there have been posts from a few suggesting he's not suited to this league. Coming to that conclusion after 8 games is quite silly, in my opinion.
  4. It's quite ironic that the one person who always uses the term ''mongboard'' is actually, the biggest mong of all.
  5. I would say that going to Anfield and Old Trafford in the first 8 games, isn't exactly a doddle of a start. Why are you trying to belittle it? We've been fabulous, and fully deserve our position in the league.

You'd think, that after the Morgan v wotton thread was bounced back up, people would kind of think twice about overly committing their opinions on a new foreign edition. In fact, I think it is utterly, utterly ridiculous that it's even being questioned that he may not make it here.
  7. Jesus, just imagine that actually did happen - As lallana did cut inside and have a shot just after too. Would have been an absolute meltdown!!!!
  8. I doubt his passing will ever improve that much, he's not that sort of player. But he will do all the ugly things, and his strength is just immense. The way he held off Fellani a few times yesterday was pretty impressive. I don't think he's that bad technically, but he's not a pretty player. But every side needs a player who breaks it up like him, and we've got a really, really good one.
  9. Fulham aren't a bad side, and it will be very easy for us to slip up in this one. Berbatov and Bent will score goals if they get a sniff. I like Sidwell in the middle and if Ruiz plays, they have a genuine link between the midfield and the front 2. However, they are a very old side in general. They have 2 days less recovery time. If we play as we can, we should keep them under wraps. The question mark is if we'll create enough against them, as they're the sort of team who will stick 2 banks of 4 behind the ball and sit. Will imagine this will be a tough watch!

    At least he's being honest.
  11. Sunderland actually look doomed. This is probably what happens when you try to sign everyone under the sun at once. It's impossible to integrate that many new players into a club, that's already on a downer. Awful decision to allow Di Canio the scope to shape the squad as much as he did. And it's also clear ot see that Altidore hasn't improved as a player since his stint with Hull all those years ago. He actually looks worse. I'm slightly surprised by Arsenal, before they signed Ozil the general mood around the camp was low. No one really had any expectation and I'm sure the players felt quite flat. But they pulled off a genuine world superstar signing on deadline day, and it's given absolutely everyone a lift. From the players, the management and the fans. After a summer whereby there were question marks over them, they're now united and are a force. They'll have a spell where they are sloppy for a few games, as usual, as I still don't think they're invincible, but Ozil will be the difference. Flamini has impressed me, he's made a great impact for them. I always fancied Hull to do OK, as they'd bought well in the summer. Huddlestone and Livermore are good signings for a club like Hull, and they already had some decent players in the likes of Koren and Brady. They'll dip badly at some point, but I think they've given themselves a good platform. Spurs - I think they've started OK, bar the result against WHU last time out. They've signed a fair few players as well, but not enough to cause major disruption. And the players they've signed are genuine proven class, so it makes a difference. I think they'll be exactly the same as last year, so after losing Bale, that's got to be seen as a positive for them.
  12. Fellani is shocked to see this circular object near him, he's not sure what it is.
  13. We have our style, this is our style. I wish people would stop looking for us to change it or say we're still missing things. There's nothing wrong with it as it suits the players we have at our disposal down to a T.
  14. I think a certain Georges Prost recommend him.
  15. League 1 was the best thing that could have happened for us and Morgan. It allowed Morgan to fully integrate himself into the club and immediately start charging for success and lots of wins. He matured as a player a hell of a lot in those 2 years, as well as becoming stronger, more consistent and a team player. In my eye's, hes also captain material - but we have lots of potential captains at this club, which is why we have such a good team spirit. They all bounce off each other so well. I remember the first ever game Morgan played, the 2-2 friendly against WHU at the start of the Wotte/Port era. He was majestic and done stuff on the ball that us saints fans hadn't seen for a long, long time. Unfortunately for him, he got sucked into the charade that year and lost his way - as did many of our players. But as they say, the class never leaves them, and he's always been a player who is just pure class without any debate.
  16. One thing against him - he has no international experience. If the above are fit, they'd surely be there before Clyne. As they're both first choice for pretty big clubs too. I like Clyne a lot, but putting my neutral hat on for a second.
  17. Johnson is back in contention now, so he'll be first choice. Kyle Walker will be 2nd choice, and then one of Smalling/Jones will be third hoice. Unfortunately all 4 of those aren't too old either, so it will take something of a major injury crisis for Clyne to get a look in.

To be fair, he couldn't have asked for a better pass from Lallana. He had to score that, the hard work was done for him.
  19. I don't think that's really an issue, our attacking swagger has clearly been pulled back to allow for a defensive stability.. This is how we play. High pressure, dominate the middle, and break on teams with numbers. Under MP I don't think we'll ever play with out and out wide men with pace.
  20. I wouldn't say he was awful. A bit frustrating, maybe. Kept trying, didn't quite come off. But the thing is he keeps trying, he keeps battling away. He's not one to shirk away at the responsibility. Should have scored though, will be mega-disappointed with that.

    Post of the year.
  22. He gave a midfield masterclass. Fellani will be wondering what the point of it all is after that domination. He was made to look like a £27m fool.

He keeps trying, and maybe you could say he's guilty of trying too hard a times - sometimes it looks a little forced. Once he gets a few goals under his locker the pressure will leave, and we'll see the real player. He's undoubtedly pure class, as we saw for Italy in the week. Just not quite getting to grips with the English game as yet. But he's shown enough to suggest it will happen in time. He doesn't try and hide away - that's for sure.
