Why are you even going to the effort to debate this? It's pointless. 3 games, we've only played 3 games. I've seen many a player have a great start, and then become ****, I've also seen players have slow starts and then become stars. 3 games isn't enough time to judge it either way, and to be honest trying to make our our new additions have been rubbish is pretty silly really.

WEP isn't secure and I'd recommend against using this at all costs, it's an easier mechanism to crack and is quite commonly cracked all over the world. (Takes about 2mins max to crack) It's safer to use WPA2, which although can be cracked, isn't as easy. I'd say 90% of devices support WPA and WPA2 now, so I'd have a look to see if you can get a firmeware or software update for your phone to enable it. Or if it's a trade off between overall security and connecting a mobile phone, I'd go with overall security.

3 matches in which we're 10th, into the next round of the cup and have as many points as we did in October last year. I'd say it's a pretty solid start. Alot is being made of our failure to score from open play as well, well...we were 1 inch away from scoring from open play on Saturday (lallana). We still create chances from open play, maybe not enough...but it will change, we've got too many good attacking players for it not to.

A serious transfer window review thread...
S-Clarke replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
It's been a pretty good window all being told, although as other's have mentioned our failure to replace Puncheon or even add to that area is somewhat frustrating. But I'd disagree with the view that only Lovren was a signing we needed. All 3 were needed. Last season it was clear to me that we lacked physical presence through the middle of the park. Technically Cork and Morgan were great, there's no denying that, but there were some games where they were overpowered and we didn't have an equivalent type of player to throw on to counteract that. WBA away last year springs to mind (Mulumbu), and also Diame at WHU. We never got to grips with the midfield area in those 2 games and the 2 powerful midfielders they had, kind of dominated. Wanyama will give us that option and will allow us to offer an equivalent in those sort of games, we've already seen in the WBA game that Wanyama bossed Mulumbu...so that's a good start. We also needed another striker. We relied way too heavily on Lambert for goals and we never really had anyone that could share the load. Jay is still a little too inconsistent and isn't going to be a regular goal scorer at this level just yet, so we only had Rickie.....Buying Osvaldo gives us real pedigree up top and takes the pressure away from some of the other lads. It may take time for us to work out the best way to integrate him, but he's a good signing and one we needed without question. Obviously you can't really argue against Lovren. A new CB was required and we got that over the line ages ago. He's an absolute class act as well. What we've done is just strengthened the spine of the team with 3 European level players, and we will see the benefits of that as the season goes on. We can be a bit frustrating to watch in terms of our predictability, but i think there are goals in us and there's still the potential for us to have a pretty good season. Put it this way, 5 seasons ago we couldn't buy anyone. If we did, it was a free transfer player that another club didn't want. Now we're in a position whereby we can keep the players we want to keep and buy the players we want to buy. I think we're as strong as we ever have been, so let's just allow time for the new players to integrate in before writing them off. -
Sturridge was injured in the Liverpool game at the weekend, was always pretty doubtful for the england games after that.

Billy, Barnard, Tananari have all been told they are not in our plans. They have not been included in the squad and have been told not to turn up to staplewood any more. Lots of clubs have tried for Billy, but none of them want to match his wages. Personally, I think Billy was a bit of a panic deadline day signing for us.......not the sort of signing we usually make, as it was clear he wasn't ever here for the long-term. We obviously overpaid on him in terms of wages to get it over the line, as he was never massively keen to move down South.

Transfer deadline day thread (Summer 2013)
S-Clarke replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
At the end of the day, if you leave your business until the last day then yes - it's very exciting, but also has the potential to be incredibly frustrating. Look at utd for example, flapping around in the final few hours trying for all these different midfielders. It's clear to me that Fellani wasn't ever their main choice, yet they've been forced to completely pay over the odds for a decent, but not great central midfielder. That's their only business, and you'd have to say he wasn't even the sort of Cm they were lacking. If anything, Arsenal and Man Utd's business should have been the other way around. Arsenal are similar, OK they've signed an absolute world class player...but it just screams of being done to appease the fans more than what they really needed. Their defensive is average and their lack of a holding midfielder will mean that they don't win anything again. Crystal Palace obviously had no strategy what so ever. Half of the players they signed were available weeks ago anyway, so why they left it til the last day is beyond me. They've signed some utter panic driven dross as well. I think people are right when they say that clubs who buy lots on the final day, don't really have a strategy for long-term success. On the other hand, we knew who we wanted and where we wanted to strengthen. We got all 3 over the line with weeks to spare. It's a little frustrating we lost Puncheon without replacing him, but there clearly wasn't anyone worth while going for in the last couple of days to replace him. We don't come across as a club who panic, we trust the players we have and the management to make the right calls. We have a long-term strategy which has been proven pretty clear on our signings over the last few years. I think we're much stronger than we were last year and we look a pretty accomplished premiership side these days. All we need to do is learn how to put the ball in the back of the net! But with Lambert, Osvaldo and Rodriguez in attack, we shouldn't have to wait too long.... -
Official: Saints academy player most expensive player ever

I don't believe they have any say in that, it's an official FA guideline. The FA would have paid that to us, not Spurs. -

Just a loop, they'll say the same they did 3 hours ago. We've done our business etc. It's just been a live loop all day! -
Morgan Schneiderlin eligible for a British passport?

He will play for France eventually, plus he's played @ U21 level. And also, wouldn't he need an English blood relative to make this even possible? -

We get about 1-2m as an FA Development fee. Probably not even that much tbh. -

Ollie has a bit of a chip on his shoulder re: us, so yeah, nothing at all in it. There's no way you can bid at this hour and expect a deal to happen either. Everything that is going to happen has happened, or has been in progress for hours. -

It's an odd one. He's not in our plans as he's not listed in our PL squad on the FA website, so that won't change. He's on a lot of money with us, mainly down to promotion clasues and the like. Clubs don't want to pay that in full. We don't want to pay any wages for a player who isn't at our club. The odd thing is though, we'd still be paying that wage with him not going anywhere and not contributing anyone. Strikes of a little bit of Cortese playing a bugger, it's not the first time and it won't be the last. -

Quite funny when you think about WBA and their business. They've been trying all summer to replace ''Lukaku''. So they spend £6m on an average-to-poor player, Victor Anhciebe from Everton. Everton, then replace him with Lukaku. Brilliant. I think WBA have lost the plot. Relegation beckons I hope. Can't stand the club (personal reasons) -

I'd add De Ridder into the flop category, one of the worst players I've ever seen.
