But that's assuming WHU will create chances and have possession in games, which they've shown very little evidence of in the last few months. It would be an enormous gamble that could easily back fire. Carroll will be back soon, and I'd expect him to go straight back into the 11, seeing what they paid for him and his wages. Lambert could well end up as a sub in a relegated side.

Glasgow makes it up as he goes along, and for what it's worth WHU are having an injury crisis and their form has gone to the ****s for that reason.

I don't think he's the sort of player to care about money. He's at the top of the game with us now, and there's no indication that he's not part of the first team - in fact he's the only real striker we have at the moment. He can either stay with us and play in the top half of the league regularly, or lose lots of games in a relegation battle whilst playing in one of the most horrendous teams in the league for 6 months, just for a little more dosh. It would be a very short-sighted move, as they will probably go down, and they'll then need to get rid of him pretty sharpish.

Not sure we would settle for such a pittance. Cortese is known for getting good deals, so if this does happen you can be sure we'll be getting upwards of £15m. Not fussed about Bertrand, Chelsea don't feel he's good enough for them which is why they want Shaw, so I don't particularly think he's a good enough replacement. Either way, nothing is going to happen.

Why on earth would anyone want to go to WHU? A club going no where.

West Ham is a club run by complete and utter morons, and I'd love to see them implode and end up in L1. All this complaint about us when we signed Osvaldo ''Hmm, they must be near their limit now'', and there they go threatening to spend way, way over the top on a player who is probably past his peak. I still stand by what I said, until we have a Lambert style player in the building, which we don't at the moment, then he must not leave. Personally I want him to end his career here, but I don't think that will happen.

Bit of a harsh opening post. My favourite moment was his header and winning goal in the 1-0 home win against WHU.

Defensive cover should and will be our priority.

Burnley really aren't a crap team, and anyone who says that are pretty uneducated regarding english football. -

But naive to think it was going to happen. We were always going to fall away once we had injuries - fact. -

If you seriously thought we'd stay there, then you are a little bit more silly than I thought you were. We had a good start to the season, we were never a top 3 club - let alone a top 6. The squad isn't deep enough as we all realise, hence the downturn in form with the injuries that we've had. -

That's probably Jos' last ever appearance for us. Great bloke, terrific servant in the champ - but needs to go. Past his best and his best was never PL level. The substitution probably confirms MP's feeling. -

Again, one mistake. Statistically one of the best GK's in the PL, actually possibly the best statically. So hush up and wind up else where. -

Any CB would look utterly horrific next to Jos, I'm not too worried about Yoshida being backup - He's not as bad as people make out. Jos on the other hand, one of the worst CB's we've had in recent times at this level. -
