  1. Isn't there also a young player of the year award?
  2. He is a top class player. Would add something to us which we lack in the final third.
  3. Fully deserved.
  4. He's a good player, but I'm not sure he's someone we really need. Very similar playing style to Davis, Cork and Morgan. We need someone with a bit of pace and power through the middle, if we add anyone that is. Wouldn't say CM is a priority position for us as it stands.
  5. Good summary there, and there's not much to disagree with in that. I thought our start to the season was a bit of a surprise, we were kind of like rabbits in headlights for the first few weeks. We didn't adept well enough to the pace, the movement and the speed of thought at this level - but you can also say that our start, fixture wise, was bloody tough to say the least. Man Utd, Man City, Everton, Arsenal, all within the first few weeks. It's tough for anyone, let alone a newly promoted side, to get off to a head of steam with that list. We were killed by not winning our ''winnable'' home game against Wigan in the middle of all that. So, the start kind of held us back a bit. Confidence drained and we had to sit through results at Eland Road and Upton Park, which will not be remembered very fondly. Once we got into November, we started to adjust. The West Brom game was kind of like a tidal change for us, it wasn't a great performance, but it was kind of a positive because we weren't ripped apart, time and time again...as we were in previous weeks. After that game, we never really looked back. We then went on a nice unbeaten run and pulled ourselves up onto double figures and within touch, after being cut adrift for quite a period of time. We looked absolutely resigned to the drop during October, but really since November we've had top 10 form. Consistently picking up draws, a nice few wins back to back and a couple of defeats here and there - but we kept them in check, we weren't getting thrashed every week anymore and our goals conceded reduced dramatically at this point. Our start has never allowed us to really get clear from relegation at any point, but to end with potentially 40+ points after the position we were in back in October is damn impressive, and you've got to say that once we adjusted, we have looked a damn fine side for this level and well deserving of our place for next season. Things still aren't perfect, but there's now a terrific basis for MP to work from. We've got a young spine and decent finance to add to it. Staying up this season was always important and I think we'll go from strength to strength now.
  6. Wigan have been relegated for weeks. Most sane people could see that to be honest.
  7. Still a battle for 4th though, Spurs at home, Arsenal away. Could be tasty.
  8. Wigan are being roasted.
  9. Wigan are officially relegated. That last day fight for survival that looked nailed on, is now null and void.
  10. Goodnight Wigan.
  11. If Punch hadn't scored on Sunday, I'd be ****ting out of my arse right now. A quick browse on the Sunderland forums show how we would be feeling!
  12. As much as I hate to say it, he is absolutely made for Arsenal in every way. He'd cost them a fair whack though, that's for sure.
  13. This game is proper stretched now. Not sure that suits Wigan to be honest, if it stays as end to end as this, then Arsenal will win it. But Wigan are looking threatening themselves.
  14. Arsenal will never achieve anything, as long as they keep starting Ramsey as their central midfielder.
  15. Why? We're safe whatever happens!
  16. We conceded the late goals there though, so slightly different!
  17. totally, that 2-2 against Fulham seems priceless now.
  18. Now, I never, ever, ever thought I'd see that!!!
  19. Arsenal seem to have collapsed, half time will come at a good time for them.
  20. Why the suprise? it's always the same
  21. Perfect sized club for him. He'd do really well there.
  22. I'm happy for us to continue with our poorly Photoshoped photo's and posters, as that Video is cringeworthy.com. Don't Norwich always bring out something like that though? Embarrassing!
  23. That's 50% of their fanbase right there.
  24. And Watford will go down if they beat palace. Not bad looking at it from a purely selfish reason. League should be much weaker next year.
  25. Thought Palace looked great in the 2nd half, Brighton didn't really do anything in either leg. Looked a very limited and predictable side. The final should be a good one, 2 evenly matched teams with very attack minded managers and players. 4-3....to either side!
