Moreno is a proper player by the way. Barca were closely linked a year or so ago and were expected to bid, but didn't. Ditto with Bayern Got their player of the year award last season and a current international. Would be an immediate upgrade to anything we have. Torje isn't actually Grandas player afaik, he's on loan from Udinese..... surprised he's not at Watford!!!!

Good Luck To Hammond, Bridge & Philips Tonight!!!

Brighton are such a noddy club. Can't even fill up their new Supa-Stadium. -
Cork has been absolutely outstanding this season, and wouldn't be far off my list for Player of the season. He is technically astute, reads the game very well, is quick off the ground and has a great range of passing. He's on a bit of a dry spell now, but that has to be expected as he's been exceptional for the majority of the season. He's a mainstay in the team next year for me, wouldn't change him and Morgan for anyone.

Also, this is what you said last summer - So, you are in danger according to you.
-
Agreed, £5m tops. He's awful.

What if there aren't any more funds though? We're assuming all this because the family are billionaires, but this club doesn't have access to anywhere near that amount of money and never will. Another way to swing it, possibly, is that NC met some with investors who were willing to put money into it - he put that forward to the family, who then refused, as they had their own plans.
-
I'd love it if that's all the issue was, sadly this has got the tone of something a lot more sinister.
-
Personally, until the building work starts on either of those things, I wouldn't start counting your chickens. Relegation, carrying the likes of Remy and Samba, is likely to severeley damage any football club. You will not be any different
-
Or play the pretty stuff like Swansea, and finish top half? I don't think we're far away from that.

We're a PL team for next season They can make 3, maybe 4 times what their Father bought the club for. This club is now worth more than it ever has been. There have been munblings that they've been looking to sell for a period of time. Generally, I think they still want to keep some control - but I reckon they want to sell a portion of the club to another party, who will then have more of a say in how the club is run. As fun as running a football club was for Markus, it's not really their passion and I've had a feeling for a while that they kind of want to reduce their involvement. That's how I see it anyway. Not solely based on that article, but everything that's happened over the last 18 months or so. From a business point of view, it's probably a no-brainer to sell this summer.
-
Peronslally, to me, it means they're looking to sell. They may still hold some control, but it looks like they want to sell and let someone else run the club.
-
He is thought to be seeking guarantees over his future amid concerns that the Liebherr trust is contemplating a change to the way the club is run. Basically, the Liebherr's are looking to sell.
-
Maybe we'll have to plan a goodbye to NC!
-
And we could be talking, all pre-season....... what an annoying thing to happen, during a pre-season where we should be progressing.
-
When Markus died, his investments were transferred into a trust fund. I believe Katrina is the head on this trust fund. There may be a general disagreement here, NC wants to stay with the current setup, but the Liebherrs now seen it as a perfect time to sell and triple their fathers investment in the football club. They could probably make 50-60m on the back of this now. Maybe NC doesn't want that to happen, hence loggerheads, but the Liebherrs will always come out on top as they control the overall share. Could be an interesting, yet quite unsettling summer. How annoying. This will put a halt on any transfer dealings for the foreseeable, that's for sure.
-
Looks to be true then, weird. He's probably fallen out with the family!!! Not sure what this means for us. We'll find out just how financially secure we are, I guess. Why can't we just have a dull/boring pre-season for once? This is now going to dominate the next 10 weeks.
-
There's no way Man City will finish 6th! They'll probably win it next year, quite comfortably as well IMO. With Ferguson's retirment and Mancini's sacking, the pendulum has swung back again.

Personally, I'm looking at some of the sides that will be in the PL next year. Fulham Sunderland (should be ok) WBA West Ham Norwich Stoke I personally think that we have a real opportunity to overtake all of those sides this summer. We already have the basis of a good, young, squad. We have the financial clout to add to it even further. Those teams have aging squads, especially Fulham, who I think will be in a right mess next year. It will cost a fortune to upgrade all of those sides, and with the basis we already have, it won't cost us a great deal to overtake them. That would put us top 10, maybe 11th. Got to be happy with that.

Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction

He's always been a complete nutjob, has ART. -
Which 3 of these 5 clubs do you want in the Premier League next year?
S-Clarke replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
I think Wigan are gone, so looking forward to facing Villa and Sunderland next year. In a truly selfish mindset, I'd like to see Watford or Palace up, as they will be the weakest. For E.g - watford will lose 60% of their loan players, and they're unable to make any signings in the transfer window due to an embargo. Could be embarrassing for them if they do actually make it up. -
Lallana is too slow and ploddy at the moment, tries 1 pass too many when it's easier to have a pop. Or goes backwards in a circle, as everyone has caught up with him. Puncheon has a bit of pace, a bit of strength, and can actually go past a player or 2. Opens the entire final third up for us. It really does show what a difference pace in the final third can make to a team. We looked so much more progressive when he was on the pitch.

Inferior? lol! Have a look at their team, it's complete dross. I wouldn't want any of them anywhere near our squad. I'm actually quite frustrated we couldn't be that crap, because christ, they are one of the worst PL teams I've seen in recent times. A bunch of predictable cloggers. They need extensive surgery if they are to be anything but relegated next year. -
But, to be fair, the risk paid off. Pochenttio will be managing in the PL next year, and Nigel will be back in the championship. It was a brave call by Cortese but I think long-term, it will be the right one.
-
I think, in many ways, his hands have been tied. We don't have a big squad, and if one of our first teamers are out we have to call on the likes of De Ridder or Fox. I think, once he invests a little bit of his image into the side, we can really see what he's made of.
