Come on then flyer, out you come. I'm struggling to see you down there now.

We press like Spain and Barcelona. It's a quality I always admired, as well as their attacking play. It's as important what you do without the ball, as you do with it. Earlier in the season we would run around all over the place trying to win the ball back, thus leaving gaps everywhere. Now we press with intelligence, which is turning us into a damn fine PL side.

This has been coming. We've been due a ''big'' result over one of the big sides in this league, and for all our close shaves against United, Arsenal and City on the opening day - this win was long overdue, but bloody well deserved. From the opening minute we did not allow City to get into any sort of rhythm. We pressed, pressed and pressed - not just individually, but in groups over key area's of the pitch. This made City rush into their passes and as a result we managed to intercept quite a few and break on them on the back of that. The 3 goals we scored were down to awful defending from them, but if you look again the mistakes were down to us and our harrying and pressing. We made City sweat all afternoon to the point where they wanted to rush the pass all the time. MP has carried on the ground work Adkins put in, but has put his little twist on things - which is working. I alluded to it earlier - we hunt in packs in key area's of the pitch. We don't run around like headless chickens trying to win the ball back, we tactically hunt in certain area's of the pitch with other players cleverly positioned on the outside of that area so we can spring when we win the ball. It's exactly what he implemented at Espanyol, sides didn't have an easy game against his team - and they won't do here either. It strikes me that the players he has available are absolutely perfect for what he wants to do. Davis, Cork and Morgan are the players you'd want in a role like that - all 3 are so interchangeable and when you have them moving around as we have, then the oppositions midfield just won't be able to get a grip onto the match. I thought City were dreadful, but alot of that was down to our hard work and quality on the ball. We didn't rush the pass like they did, we found the time and the space whereas we didn't allow them such luxuries. To be honest, this is a result I didn't expect. I thought we'd blown our chance to go 6 clear last weekend, but I was wrong! It was a terrific result which is made even better with the results in and around us. Let's push on from here. Boruc - 7 - Didn't have a great deal to do, but feel confident with him in there. Made a decent save from Auguro in the 2nd half. Clyne - 8 - Excellent I felt. Defended well, got forward well and used his pace to great effect. Jos - 9 - Best game of the season. He dominated Edin Dzeko all evening. Some of his positioning and headers were class. Maya - 9 - Equally as good. The more composed of the 2, but his reading of the game is brilliant. Fox - 7 - Had a solid game, wasn't attacked as much as he could have been but used the ball well when he had it. Punch - 7 - Nice goal and lots of endevour in the first half, lacked the final pass at times and seemed to tire in the 2nd. Morgan - 10 - MOTM by a mile. Best midfielder in the premiership at this moment in time, he was all over Toure. Cork - 10 - Equally 10. Can we have a dual MOTM award? Hard to pick between these 2. They both bossed the show. Davis - 8 - Full of energy and his final pass at the ''tip'' of the midfield was often very, very good. Gets into good positions in and around the box as well, and was in hand to mop up for the 2nd goal. Lambert - 8 - Great hold up play as usual, and he was involved in all the goals. As soon as he gets into the box you know he will make something happen, he's got such a cool head in there and can pick out a pass no matter what. Jay - 8 - Ran his heart out all game, is growing and growing into a real player. Full of pace and worries the CB's all game.

at £1m he was an absoloute steal last year. I love our midfield, so youthful and vibrant. Full of en devour and quality.
-
Expect Reading to win now.

You're just being a little over-sensitive here. I can't see anything in that post which would offend anyone, in the slightest. I'm even wondering if you've quoted the wrong post, as I'm confused by your reaction. Calm down.

How is Shaw/Clyne/Gaston? (if you wish to share that is)
-
Write him off at your peril. Similar seems to have happened here, as with Boruc. He didn't do much wrong, but because he didn't play much he was deemed rubbish. Now he's playing you can see that he's actually our best GK. Once Mayuka settles and gets game time, he will be frightening in this league IMO.

It's hard not to though, because MLT is just looking like child in all this. He's not being professional at all and is trying to use his TV personality to menouvre himself into a ''feel sorry for me'' position. I don't know what the fued is all about, but what i do know is that NC has kept quiet, hasn't bickered or gossiped. The club/NC have agreed to have a meeting to clear the air. MLT then blabs, *****es and goes all sarky about it. Yep, clever. I imagine there will be another unnecessary, ill advised rant on Saturday.
-
That site should be renamed to ''Anti-NC''
-
Not surprised what so ever. There was no need for him to make those sarky comments, no need what so ever. He should have just accepted it, and responded to the question with a normal answer ''Yep, arranged in a few weeks''. There was absolutely no reason to be sarky, it was an opportunity for them to chat. NC has not cocked this up, MLT has been an idiot here. I've got a feeling he's starting to like the feud...

Another vote for the Asus routers as well, have set a couple up and they are rock solid. Nice bits of kit. 2.4ghz is more than enough for most tbh, you should be able to get 130mbps wireless N out of it.
-
When it works well, it works well. But when it plays up, it can play up for weeks and weeks and you can forget getting any support. I did used to have BE, but could only get a max of 7mb (I go to the Shirley exchange as well) - so until Fibre is here, I've had to move back to Virgin to give me my speed fix! They've recently upgraded my connection to 130Mb down, 15mb up. £34 p/m which I think is pretty reasonable tbh. And it has improved a lot since then, so I think it's safe to assume that a few problems I've had in the last few weeks have been down to the area upgrades. Another note - use the Supurhub as a modem only. Ditch the router/wifi side of it as it's next to useless. I've got my ''superhub'' in bridged mode, and it goes through my own personal wifi/router and all works ok.

Way too good for that level

We can't. We have what we have now for the rest of the season. If we keep loaning out players we'll just weaken ourselves even more, which Is why I don't think this will happen.
-
If we continue loaning out the squad without replacing them, we won't be able to name a bench.
-
I've been impressed with Davis in the last couple of games, this alteration in style really seems to suit his game - as he's the sort of CM who enjoys getting up and at you and winning the ball back. Technically, he's very good as well. I do like how we play, it's genuinely exciting - and you'd hope that continuing to play like this will eventually equal a decent return in points. Still very frustrated by our inability to hold out yesterday though, we were so close to breaking away into the mid-table pack.
-
I must admit, that is another bitter comment from MLT. No reason for that at all. Could have easily just said ''Yes, in a few weeks. Hope we can get a resolution'' - but no, he decides to go all sarky. I wouldn't be surprised if NC cancelled it based on that. I hope they do come to some sort of agreement here, because it's petty beyond belief.
-
He's quite clearly been keeping up to date with the latest porn via Utorrent...
-
It's not like that at all, is it? The majority recognise that Rameriz is a very talented individual, but have witnessed that he's not getting as involved in away games as someone of his talent should be. I'm still of the belief that he's not a player in away games for us, at this moment in time. I wouldn't write him off though.
-
All registered users now can. Think it changed a few weeks back. I won't be paying my sub next year, that's f'sure.
-
It's not, so safe to ignore!

Weird poster.

Their result today makes me more nervous. Teams as good as city don't often go more than 2 games without a win. They aren't a bad side, they're still packed full of quality and will likely have the toure brothers back next week. I'd bite your hand off for a draw.
