  1. It's a go'er, don't worry about that. We just need to get it over the line now.
  2. Yep, add that to everything else and it's pretty concrete. I thought this was a good laugh a week or so ago, but I was surprised when I was told on Thursday at how serious our intent was - this is apparently our number 1 target, and Cortese has been trying for the last 18 months to secure a major signing for this club.
  3. lol, nah he just spouts random crap all the time to be fair.
  4. Lawro is going to look pretty silly.
  5. Mina Rzouki: "Bologna, Southampton, Penarol and the agents are working on a deal right now to send Ramirez to EPL. What a coup if this does happen." Mina Rdouki is a Mirror columnist on Italian football, football writer, BBC Sportsworld radio pundit and @sportstonighttv European Football correspondant.
  6. We're not quite competing...just yet.
  7. If there was a problem with our finances we wouldn't even bother going in for someome like Gaston. I can assure you that almost every single transfer is now done in installments. Chelsea will not pay Lens 33m for Hazard up front, there will be a spread of payments - similar with Van Persie. That's how it's done because it's sensible financial management, rather than splash all this years budget on 1 player - you push it out over 2 transfer windows. (or even more)
  8. Hart - 300k Clichy - 15m Kompany - 7m Lescott - 20m Zabaleta - 7m Nasri - 18m Rodwell - 15m Toure - 28m Silva - 28m Tevez - 35m Auguro - 35m subs - Dzeko - 30m Balotelli - 32m Kolerov - 18m around 288.3m
  9. I'm sure they'll work it out. It's not for us to worry ourselves about!
  10. Wigan will likely be without Maloney and Moses (who is set to Join chelski this week). They're not a direct side, never have been. They're neat and tidy through the middle, they have some good Cm's there, but are incredibly blunt up front - and will be even more so without those 2 above. I think Ramis got a rude awakening today...but he's not a bad CB by any means. I think, and hope, we play with the same intensity as we did for periods in the 2nd half today, if we do that I don't think Wigan will contain us for 90mins. That's my honest opinion.
  11. Yep, don't forget about Lee. In this formation he'd be electric. Also agree about JWP, the top awaits him. With us I hope.
  12. He's very clever, he knows what he's doing....reading some of the posts over here this summer, you'd think he didn't! The preparation is so specific and he seems to know when to change it, he reads the game from he side so well. He got a bit of luck today with those 2 subs scoring, let's be honest, but he sensed a moment where we could open up a bit - and we did, got our rewards for a period.
  13. I didn't realize how poetic that was until I read it back...!
  14. What a team.
  15. That's what is wanted, and apparently is what's now close to being agreed. Bolonga wanted everything up front, but we wanted instalments - a compromise now looks to have been agreed. Fun week ahead IMO.
  16. The same bloke has now responded to another tweet. He doesn't know if it will happen tomorrow, but the difference required to sort is so small that it would be weird if it wasn't agreed now. He also agrees that Ramirez's words were quite unwise.
  17. It's a permanent choice going by what Adkins is saying. He says he's been here 12 years and has matured so well, he's ready to lead the team now. That were his words.... I imagine it's a nice reward of Adam too, ''you stuck with us when you could have gone, so now you can captain us where we belong"
  18. Ok, I'll reply. I would suggest watching the game back from the moment Lambert came on. That moment allowed Guly to operate in a free role, in that role he pulled their midfield and defence all over the place as they didn't know how to track him. He was involved in the build up to the equaliser and kept the ball well for most of the 2nd half. In the first half he was often isolated as a lone man up front, but boy did he work his arse off without the ball. I bet you if yo asked Kompany and Lescott they'd tell you he was a nightmare to play against because of his constant movement and effort. People single him out for reasons I'm not sure of, I think back to the goal at Fratton Park and think that's what's turned people on him - but look beyond that, and appreciate that he's actually quite a nifty little football player when he has time and space on the ball.
  19. Time for a ban?
  20. We need to try and get most wrapped up next week in theory, the week after is only a 4 day week and that would be cutting tight to say the least.
  21. Yeah that bloody dankiz1, pestering all the journos
  22. It's a great story, it took someone a while to take a gamble on Rickie - although it was never much of a gamble really. It's a shame because he should have been higher up for more of his career, but he'll take his chance now for sure. He's just a goal machine, he will score in the CL final, world cups, euro's etc if given the chance. It's just about being brave enough to pick him, and thankfully we were brave enough to spend £1m on him. The best £1m this club has ever ever spent.
  23. Spot on DD, cannot judge him on today really.
  24. Ok, who else has re-wound their Sky+ recording to watch the goals, again....and again? I didn't think I'd be doing that today if I'm honest. Lamberts finish is just stunning, the mark of a natural goal scorer at any level. The 2nd goal was brilliant to, such clever movement and pass selection. That wasn't luck.
  25. Exciting. Not long now I don't think.
