That's my thoughts as well, expecting Saints to let us down when pressure is on, need some strong characters to step up.
-
It is tempting to place an insurance bet, obviously don't want us to lose but if WBA progress at least a decent pay out covers a few beers.
-
If there's a few thousand meeting the Saints coach assume the WBA coach will also arrive at a similar time so will also be greeted by the home fans. This is out of the ordinary for home games as players usually park in their own cars at the ground apparently rather than arrive on a team bus.
-
Not so sure, teams rarely travel on the day of the game at this level now.
-
You'd hope 8pm on a Friday those nervous fans will have a couple of shandies to get them going.
-
Definitely sense the anticipation building up to the game. Get this on top volume for the next few days on repeat
-
Weirdly when I got tickets there was no post option and only e-ticket or collection so I've got mobile ones, seems inconsistent
-
That does does sound like a parody account, welcoming the bus against Grimsby but due to being outnumbered the players just got boos, explains the performance that night 🤣
-
I went past West Broms ground early and noticed a big crowd had gathered to greet the bus, however don't Saints players usually just arrive a few hours early in their own cars and park behind the Chapel stand? That's where people usually get autographs?

Definitely missed Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong today. A fit Adams on Friday night would be good news, West Brom will fancy their chances on the break as we give the ball away so cheaply , would expect them to press the back 4 as we looked vulnerable trying to knock it about at times. Need the whole stadium to get the atmosphere going, for the first 10 mins today most of the WBA fans were on their feet , decent home support but hopefully we can better that on Friday.

At the time I recall talk that Romeu's departure was also linked somehow to our dealings with Man City, we were doing loads of business with them and Romeu moved to Girona owned by the same people.

The league One and Two play offs both providing a good example of how irrelevant the final league placings are when it comes to knock out football. MK Dons highest ranked league two losing 7-1 on aggregate to Crawley. 2nd ranked Doncaster also going out. Peterborough being 2nd ranked in league one also going out. Hopefully we buck the trend now.

Anyone with any sense will leave around the 85rh minute to beat the traffic anyway
-
I reckon the family stand will be a bit livelier than normal for this one , 8pm Friday night game as long as the boys do the business on the pitch is perfect for a loud atmosphere
-
Trying to think of when we've actually won a shoot out, stand out one obviously at Old Trafford in 1992, some good pen takers in that side, didn't we also win a couple in the JPT (Torquay and Norwich? ) I

Hope we added some bonus extras to Tella sale based on Leverkusen winning something this season , incredible achievement
-
It wasn't complete general sale, needed purchase history from last few seasons and were very few left as most had gone to members and season ticket holders. WBA quickly sold their 2000 allocation, makes you wonder how many we could get for a game like this? Easily 40k I reckon.
-
Watched the Bolton fans celebrating on the pitch after getting through against Barnsley last night, I never really understand that. Sure its nice to get to Wembley but not promoted yet always seems a bit over the top mobbing the players with the final still to go.
-
Thanks makes sense, I know a few season ticket holders not buying usual seats as waiting to sit with mates who are members/ database so will probably be a few moving around for this game.
-
Unsold season ticket seats released as well?
-
We'll lose on pens, Sam Edozie weak effort saved by the keeper.
-
I think tickets reserved are player comps / club employees but also some for supporters club groups who get an allocation and also hospitality clients like box owners can request tickets
-
He is a better keeper than Baz. Baz is a better sweeper but in terms of actual basic goalkeeping McCarthy is stronger, also has excellent experience. He'd lost his confidence but hopefully has a point to prove now to motivate him.

You'll be fine for the home leg, can buy Tuesday if you have a membership with purchase on this season
