I agree with this. I am a level headed, non-reactionary poster - you only have to look at my in match comments to see that - but in a way coming back to get a point today reinforces how badly our man has lost the plot, and the kindest thing for everyone is if he were to be relieved of his duties asap. I will say though that that 2nd half offers some real hope if and when he does go.

The last time we played really well was at WHL last season, and we were superb that day. Since then virtually half a season ago 3 league wins, 2 in the following 2 at home against crap oppo and 1 more freak result where we got battered but somehow fluked a win in the middle of a procession of dross. So back then he had the plausible excuses of a/players worn out by high press tactics relaxed and took foot off gas and b/ he was hamstrung by our finances, had to sell to buy, doing a great job given that. Those excuses are gone now, and we look a million miles off the team that won that day. I genuinely struggle to understand how we could go from being so good to being so utterly shit, but he has to carry the can for it, and I simply do not see him turning it around.

Ok, so I'm giving him the next 2 games. No wins or at the very least no genuine sign that things are coming together in those and that's me off the fence. Time to fuck off. Never expected anything from today but the manner of the defeat, the sense that fuck all has changed, the 1 win in 14 now and counting. Too much.

Agreed. Not that I'm comparing them in terms of quality, but that Silva fella is still doing alright for Chelsea at 37 (38 in a few weeks). Whilst I like the principle of buying all these youngsters with (hopefully) huge sell on potential, surely the odd relatively low cost experienced head would be a sensible policy.

I’d be tempted to have a conversation at least if they offered £149M plus AwB. We could then hopefully get AwB back on form by offering him an arm round the shoulder (he likes that,apparently, not the hair dryer treatment he’s rumoured to have been copping for from Solsjaer (sp) and whoever that Dutch bloke was they had in charge afterwards). That way we effectively replace KWP for nothing and have £149M spare to improve the squad in other areas.
