I thought that was the most important game of the season today in the context of all that has happened and our recent uptick in form. Had we won it I would have started to believe we might survive. We lost and for me that is it we are down. We have an improving young squad but it ain't going to be enough.

I didn’t think Villa were poor at all, and tbf in the 2nd half we had an go, scored and got tucked up by the pricks that run the game now. Ultimately though we’ve won ONCE at home all season. It’s the stat of a team headed for the drop.

Cheers for the recommendation. So far water in lieu of beer has seen mine off. I also got prescribed concentrated cherry juice, not really sure if that had any effect. For anyone wanting to cut down on the ale I recommend Adrian Chiles book The Good Drinker. I’m never going to abstain entirely and don’t feel the need to but similar to him my unit count had got a bit silly and needed reining in.
