I think Archer is worth persevering with. He can finish, but the system last year really didn’t suit him. Hopefully that won’t be the case next season. Ings on a free is still a no-brainer for me though. His movement in the penalty area is brilliant, especially getting in front of the first man for those crosses.

Don’t mean to blow my own trumpet here - in the 80s I got through the first few England Schoolboy trials and ended up at a 4 day camp. On the way to the first meeting before we were going out to play, I was accosted outside by Jason Cundy and we had a good chat - he was a really nice lad. We ended up being late and the guy with the blazer was fucking fuming with us. Cundy proceeded to argue with him and our cards were marked for the rest of the time we were there. I blame him entirely for my football career ending there and then 😂😂. To be fair, there were quite a few lads there that went on to have decent careers, and then there was me!

The comments Dragan have made are a step in the right direction. The proof is in the pudding though.
