  1. Really poor from Fonte.
  2. Judging by his performance this morning, it doesn't take a genius to work out where Andrew Marr stands on the big question. i thought he was a disgrace.
  3. Hopefully he will take the mercenary cash from China.
  4. That must be why Nissan and Honda said they wouldn't leave the UK if we voted out.
  5. I liked the vicar on QT. What he said about not selling our democracy was spot on.
  6. You keep telling yourself that. Only tonight we had more scaremongering from Osborne.
  7. I'm willing to wager that the people banned have all been involved in organised hooliganism. Can't say I'm that bothered to be honest.
  8. Whatever side of the fence you sit, that is an interesting article.
  9. They'll be even less likely to leave now. Their oil is worth naff all.
  10. A fair few in Cameron's cabinet set to oppose him.
  11. Embarrassing watching Cameron beg the EU for a deal that won't make a blind bit of difference to immigration. He must be one crap poker player.
  12. You were lucky, my experience in New York was 1000 times worse.
  13. Some really informative posts from buctootim. Funny, I have just been watching some daytime television. Someone had a fire at their council flat, the council looked to be doing a great job in looking to quickly sort the flat out, and that of neighbours. Meanwhile, another house had illegally been converted to 6 flats, each of which consisted of basically a room with a few stud walls giving a tiny kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The tenant in question was on housing benefit, and the landlord was being paid £256 per week for one flat. My point is, as buctootim says, private doesn't necessarily mean better. The Tory government seem to have a pathological distrust of any public body that isn't there to make a profit. Hospitals are no exception.
  14. I believe the French health service is a public/private organisation that is held in extremely high regard. I know people who have been treated amazingly quickly and well under their care. I have personal experience of the U.S. private health service, and it was an absolute shambles charging totally exhorbitant prices. I would hate us to have a U.S. style health service, but we could possibly learn a thing or two from the French model. Jeremy Hunt seems a touch untrustworthy to me.
  15. No, West Ham last week, Swansea today. My memory isn't great, but I reckon the other 4 games were against different teams as well.
  16. Targett defended really well today, especially up against their tricky winger in the second half. Decent performances through the side. Thought we kept the ball better when Romeu was on the pitch. Don't want to say anything negative, so I won't mention Pelle.
  17. Was being driven to a school match in Netley, by Mr Jolly (real name), when the news came over his car radio. 11 years old at the time. Shame we didn't keep him longer. Might have won the league.
  18. Trotter
  19. Ron wins MOTM and Lawrenson tips us to win. Talk about bad omens.
  20. Good. It's a crap deal for GB anyway.
  21. It's misleading because it doesn't clearly show the effect freedom of movement in the EU has had on Britain. I think we'll have to agree to disagree.
  22. Very misleading, and you're missing the point. Show the stats from when EU freedom of movement started, and the EU was enlarged to include at least Poland. Immigration is immigration, whether from the EU or not. I'm not against immigration, but we have no control over our borders to EU migrants. Our public services are creaking under their weight, wages have been driven down and we have a housing shortage. We need a cohesive, controlled immigration policy. It is impossible to have that whilst in the EU.
