Agreed, it also allows continuity should the manager leave. Each member of the committee has their own skills though. Cortese is in charge of the money, Adkins knows what the squad needs, and Reed keeps an eye out for youngsters. It's when these lines are blurred that the problems arise.

I've just seen their second goal again. I reckon Kelvin was probably about the only keeper in the Premier who would have let it in.

His reflexes are too slow. Not up to the job anymore. Sad really, as he has been a fantastically loyal servant of the club, but you can't be sentimental. We need a new keeper.

Davis should have done better with Upson's goal. He looked slow and cumbersome with his parry from Crouch at the end. Lucky it didn't fall to them. He is not a premier league keeper.

On reflection, it was a decent point. It's so frustrating at the moment. Buy wisely at the start of the window and we'll finish in the top 17.

Keeper Winger Defender Our keepers have let us down this season, we don't have enough depth at the back or wide. Given/Robinson - better than what we have. Buckley, big lad, quick very mobile, likes to get down the line. Defender, don't know. But an out and out defender who won't get bullied, someone in the Huth mould.

I couldn't disagree more. I reckon we are a more capable team than our position shows. I do agree about tactical nous to a certain extent though. That and individual errors have cost us a fair bit this season. Relegation would not be positive in any way. The vultures will pick off our best players.
