People should be more worried about getting up there IMO.
-
Your last sentence scares me: Workers shouldn't be dicatated to, this isn't a fascist state! If you're using them to make money, they should obviously do what there jobs demand, but they shouldn't have to go 'above and beyond'. Workers create the wealth, the bosses squander it!
-
Any what happens if the other jobs weren't there?! Would you still think that striking was for 'commies'?
-
Again, I was citing BA, I was speaking generally.
-
ANY work that a person carries out that is outside of their job description is an abuse of that job description: I.e, it is not what was advertised and it is not what the employee signed up for. Regardless, I wasn'y citing this as a reason why BA decided to ballot for strike action anyway. Militant strike action belongs in the past? Rubbish IMO. If a company/organisation is taking the ****, I don't have any problem with strike action. I would do exactly the same. This country has a generation at the moment who think capitalism is the only way forward and that when it all goes bottom up, 'oh well, cut backs will have to happen'. We should be striving for more than this! We shouldn't just accept these big companies taking liberties, if they have made foolish decisions and have lost money THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT!
-
Well of course, but he shouldn't be able to dictate that a worker HAS to accept what he wants if it is an unreasonable request once he has been employed. Abuses of a persons job description is why trade unions are necessary and still relevant in the 21st century.

Are you joking?! In Colchester we are covered.
-
Same situation in Essex! I'm due to be going to Leeds tomorrow, although if I can't move my car... Also my brother is flying in from Ireland for this game, and I'm the one with the tickets.
-
Thanks - Both good ideas, wish I had thought of them if I'm honest. I shall do both these things tomorrow as the car is 'parked' over a mile away! I won't be going into work tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of time to sort it. It's a bloody nightmare up here, Essex constabulary must be pulling their hair out. Nearly all in and out roads to Colchester are blocked with abandoned cars!
-
That is because the government does not put enough money into researching them properly or use them efficiently.

If it snows in Leeds anywhere as much as it had snowed in Colchester tonight, then the game will certainly be off! -
How do. Those that live in the Colchester/Basildon/Southend etc region will appreciate this after tonight: We have had a shed load of snow, and I had to abandon my car in some residential street that is 'permit holders only'. Is there any kind of exemption for extreme weather conditions or would that be down to the individual council! This close to Christmas, I don't want to be hit with a massive fine, or wait until the new year to get my back from the impound!
-
True, and I think only a few people have picked up on it if I'm honest.
-
Feels like -12!!!?!?!?!?!?! **** me, that is going to be a cold walk back to the station!
-
I'll take a point, would love a victory. If we played well, I wouldn't be too dis-heartened with a defeat as Leeds haven't been beaten so far this season at home (as far as I am aware). Regardless of the result I expect Saints topick up 6 points from the next avaliable 9.

I certainly don't support nuclear power. Along with fossil fueled power stations, they should be shut down and the workers placed in new government funded renewable energy power stations.

On my way to work this morning I passed not one, but TWO vehicles with 'Liebherr' displayed proudly down the side. There I was, sat on the A12 with a great big smile on my face and couldn't help but burst into OWTS! I also remember being in Amsterdam this summer for the England game and seeing two or three Liebherr cranes, and again, a great big smile was plastered across my face. My missus thought I was mental! Does this happen to anyone else?
-
Beats my one

With Norwich players demonstrating what they would like to do to it, Wayne and Neil could not believe the size of Bart's ****

Not a chance in hell.

The biggest 'ROFL' EVER - Thank you Wiltshire.
-
Seeing as the club got rid of 'members' (Stupid ***** Lowe again!) I guess it will go: ST holders Previous round attendees General sale

I have every sympathy with your predicament, but WHY DIDN'T YOU COMPLAIN!?! More fool you for not complaining. As far as I am aware, a company/organisation cannot sack you for going on strike if it is done so in a legal fashion? So why didn't you 'down tools' and say "I'm not happy with this!"? Ridiculous.
-
Exactly. That is my point. The capitalist system stinks!

Why doesn't Elton John step in? That is what I would be asking if I was a Watford fan.
