    PROTEST

I thought her influence had been diluted to about 10% although still has a representative on the board. She won’t be looking to buy the club back or reinvest, and can’t blame her. Perhaps her son would like to head the club up, and can find another wealthy Swiss backer, but seems an unlikely one.
  2. Don’t you think they’ll promote Nivea this time if needed?

Did you go to the same charm school as John Westwood by any chance ?

Easily filtered out at entry to the stadium.

    Tonda Eckert

The big question. Aim to get rid of Rasmus, and co.

Yes, for the sake of his own sanity and career, he’d be better off telling the club to stick it. He seems a nice enough bloke, and doesn’t need his CV tarnished by the fuckwits directing operations at SFC. The blame rests with Rasmus and Spors.

This is the mystery for me. Will the real Tonda (and his tactics) please stand up ? Oh, and Rasmus, please fuck off.
  8. Tommy Forecast is being announced as GK coach tomorrow.
  9. I think Ankersen takes this award without any competition. After that, perhaps Dragan for listening to him. And Spors (for the appointment of Still alone, which set this fucking car crash in motion).
  10. This bit in the article y9u posted caught my eye. Can clearly see why they see Downes as the answer. Glad their recruitment of strikers has been as good as ours, perhaps their Head of Scouting will be brought to Saints in the summer.
  11. I'd forgotten Selles being appointed to work with Ralph. As much as I doubted the appointment of Still i was surprised he wasn't able to bring some back room staff with him (just as well perhaps). Adding Trollope did make some sense, but Lallana was just another absurd appointment. I had expected Tonda to bring someone from Germany or Genoa he'd worked with before, but to lumber him with this dud with his track record of serial failure is staggering
  12. Had never heard of Ben Garner before today. But it looks like he's got a shaven head and a beard. What the fuck are you expecting in the dugout for Christ sake ?
  13. Could mince around in our back five and not look out of place some games.

How do you know how quickly he puts the cones out ? I’m sure Rasmus has researched it on a spreadsheet. Xcs factor * *Expected cone stacker ratio ~ for the uneducated

Dream Academy - wasn’t that an 80’s pop group ?

I said the same earlier in the week as another possible reason for Rohl not staying in the running. I read he tweaked their formation at HT yesterday. Own initiative. That would never do on Planet Rasmus.

As supportive as I have been of Tonda, I suspect this is close to the mark. I live in hope he goes into a telephone box (do these still exist?) and transforms himself, coming out of it with underpants over his trousers, storming into Rasmus’ office saying “ right you cunt, I’m done with five at the back and your sort of Bollocks …”
  19. Eric Martin, Boxing Day at Highbury 1970. Snow covered pitch but no gloves. I put a YouTube clip of it up last week. Should be compulsive viewing for any prospective GK.
  20. Not to mention tights or leg warmers !! Nithing new though - Keith Weller (Leicester) wore them in the 1970’s. Surprised he didn’t get more abuse for it at the time. Although noticeably he hadn’t done it whilst at Millwall
  21. Perhaps his ego rather than the club finances should be the first target. Or is he such a narcissist that even adverse publicity inflates his ego even further ?
  22. The car park after Port Vale was quite an experience. If the club didn’t realise before it became apparent that the protests weren’t just a few hot-heads, yobs, and youths but many middle- aged, and grey headed old cunts alike were there ( a category I now subscribe to I’m afraid).
  23. Good luck with that. Not doubting it could be effective, but I don’t see the appetite or enthusiasm for this among the current ‘match going public’ as opposed to the supporters- of our generation- yesteryear. We might get a couple of ‘open letters’ from the keyboard generation if you’re lucky.
  24. Ottery disappeared off the forum in 2014. I remember him posting not long after the last game of the season, but being annoyed with some crap from other posters and saying he was off. I was looking to contact him at the start of the next season but nowhere to be seen. Shame, nice bloke who made some good posts and comments.
  25. Problem is that there is no particular focal point for these to be displayed. In Branfoot’s day he walked the touchline to the dugout which gave opportunity for them to be shown. Rasmus quietly makes his way a few yards to a seat in the Directors box. And if there is any suggestion of protest he’ll either watch it from a private box, or stay away. Even the Lowe protest, when it was suggested that rubber ducks be thrown on the pitch failed.
