  1. Yes, some fair points made. Obviously a generational thing, but I'd rather a manager who got on with the job, and did it well.
  2. Regarding Blackmore , he was quite outspoken when Jones was manager. Quite why he saw fit to come ‘off script’ and so outspoken but now tow the party line is intriguing. He has questioned RM a couple of times and got a prickly response but perhaps taking aim at Rasmus really could put him on collision course with the club and limit his access.
  3. Brentford fan up there in August said ‘Ankersen managed the spreadsheets’. But I think we guessed that.
  4. This sort of thing doesn’t help his cause. No objection to him having a private life, but it should stay private. Bloke’s an egotist. Full of himself, with little justification. Some managers can be arseholes, and braggarts (Clough in his early days, and Mourinho spring to mind), but they had a track record of results first. We’ve had some knobs as managers in the past, but can’t think of any who’d see themselves on social media like this. Not Hoddle, not Branfoot, both had a bit more self respect no matter what their other shortcomings.
  5. A good question. Given our league position you’d have hoped there might have been some good use of time on the training ground. Not jetting off, that should be a reward not a right. But then time at Staplewood might have interfered with Lego’s own getaway. Glad the fucker has his priorities sorted.
  6. If the Bournemouth performance and result, then the Wolves fuck up won’t stir the board then neither will a bad result v Liverpool. We need a point, preferably a win. Far more important than whatever your view of the manager.

    Utkir Yusupov

Don’t worry, a new striker, Utter Crap has agreed terms to sign in January.
  8. They probably realise having asked around that no other bastard will touch the job. If the board want to know why, they should take a look in the mirror. Clearly Mr Football , Kraft and Dyson-Man don’t cut it in football circles as they think they do. Just wish someone would tell Dragan.
  9. I can see why we bought him for £7m given his scoring for Sheff Utd in half a season. ( Archer was the bigger question mark for me, but he had settled better). As for BBD I’m not going to trot out ‘there’s a player in there’ bollocks as I’m not convinced there is. But I do think he’s capable of more than we’ve seen.
  10. Dele Alli or Ali Dia ?
  11. Disappointing to see even Blackmore falling for the myth of what Rasmus achieved at Brentford. Shouldn’t take too much investigative journalism or thought to realise others were the brains behind it. Added to which Brentford have it seems got stronger since he left.
  12. I had to look it up, but found that by Nov 17th 2012 we actually had 8pts ( Win v Villa, and draws v Fulham and Swansea, before winning at QPR). What was the difference between then and now ? The win v Villa was convincing, Adkins had earnt the trust of supporters with two promotions, and he wanted, and often had, the team playing with flair. Quite easy to understand why people were supportive of him.
  13. Norwich, his spiritual home. Said he wanted to go back there one day.

    Dave Watson

Not at The Dell, but despite those two we were often a bit of a soft touch away from home. Not sure they were as intimidating as you’d have liked. Probably wider issues, not just them, our home form was excellent but poor away.

    Dave Watson

I was at that match v Man City. Remember the incident, it was what was then described as a towering header. Times have changed with him being able to continue the match. How tragic that both Dave Watson and Chris Nicholl from the same era and defence have suffered a similar fate.
  16. Perhaps disappointed that others have acted whilst our Board sit on their hands. But would anyone be bothered if he went to one of the clubs you mentioned? Not appointing Carsley in itself wouldn’t be a concern.
  17. Thanks Turkish, and Hypo. Glad you were paying attention, and your ears were more finely tuned than mine.
  18. Keane also mentioned something about Southampton. I couldn’t hear whether it was he’s being playing well at Southampton, or despite the problems he’s had this season at Southampton. Without sub-titles it was lost due to accent and how he speaks into his beard. Did anyone hear it properly ?
  19. Agree, the Liebherr’s did seem to offer some stability and sensible ownership.
  20. I vaguely recall reading that Katarina Liebherr’s share had been diluted to 10% after SR put more funds in. May be wrong of course
  21. Because he wants to follow in the footsteps of Brazil's greatest ever, and his boyhood hero, Guly Do Prado. .Obvious, innit ?
  22. Has he been asked to play on the left like that, or is it his preference? I read somewhere he thought that was his best position. Unfortunately RM does seem to allow players to pick where they want to play (AA at CF last season at Blackburn despite scoring well from wide right).
  23. Slight edit to your post.
  24. It’ll still be trotted out as an excuse over the next few weeks though.
  25. ABK clearly hasn’t got his head in the right place, or he’d be in the team, or at least the squad. Ridiculous that’s he fallen from a place in the German WC squad to where he is now. As for Stephens, it’s a bit low referring to him as the Devon Beckenbauer. He’s the Cornish Maldini.
