Saw the report of £7m. Too early to judge if we missed an opportunity or dodged a bullet, but we've wasted a lot more on absolute guff players. I suspect if we or another EPL side had been in for him Toulouse would have added another £5m-10m to the asking price.

So in the event of a decent cup run, will priorities be OS+ with say only five ticket purchases, ahead of an OS with 8 or 10 ? In truth don't suppose they've thought that far ahead.Or don't want to advertise it.

Yes it was, think he's FA Technical Director. I noticed that on the BBC highlights.Classic Reed, seated in front of Beckham where he's bound to be noticed, and basking in the glory of the moment. No doubt he'll be giving interviews soon about advances in the Womens's game etc, but no doubt it'll go t!ts up after he's had time to make an input. He can been seen after the first and third goals, if you want to see Bunsen at his best. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/48794990

Might be worth bearing in mind the European U21's tournament still on in case Ralph is looking at any of them. As is the Women's WC of course, in case he's looking to sign a couple !

Problem is that the fee for Maguire will probably inflate the domestic prices for CB's and it will affect our level. If Leicester look to sign Dunk or Tarkowski, Brighton/Burnley will immediately look at Leicesters sudden windfall and look for £25-30m, and Bristol City will consider that as a marker for Webster and the £15-!8m we might have been looking at becomes £20m. Meanwhile in the real world we still won't be able to give Hoedt away.

Any Celta Vigo players we'd like to take in part exchange ? Seem to recall they had a decent Slovakian MF at the start of last season we were linked with. Good job Les has gone, otherwise he might have allowed them to convince us to 'sign' Hoedt in pt exchange.
-
Or Dennis T-shirt Half-Time Entertainment Officer ?
-
Not necessarily involving us though in reaching those targets.
-
I thought Elynouusi was the back up after Maddison chose to go to Leicester. Either way a pretty poor substitute for our first choice.
-
Probably after he read it on here.
-
As well as Valery did last season I'm not sure I'd want to rely exclusively on him for a full season. Maehle certainly looks a cut above from what I've seen and read of him, si if he is still within our price range then he'd improve the team and squad. Unfortunately I expect this to be the case.

Like the senior team over the last couple of decades believing their own publicity and thinking they're destined for greatness.
-
Have they gone all Air Florida on us ?
-
Agree on both points. But if RB does leave, hopefully for far more than £10m, I still think Ralph could secure a replacement from Bundesliga as opposed to Targett becoming first choice.
-
Wonder if he'll prove to be as big a c^nt for them as Steve Foster did. Have his work cut out on that score.
-
Probably isn't, looks like a pluck name of player A and random club B for the sake of it site. But it does throw up something to consider out of season.

I'd always though it might be a Bowen or Adams option rather than Djenepo, but it seems Bowen is regarded more of a AM/winger than striker from what many are saying on here. Ideally I'd like to see Bowen and a striker with a bit of height as well as pace. Perhaps anyone with both attributes are out of our price range though. That's how I've viewed him as well. Watching a couple of clips Bowen showed an awareness and bit of flair on occasion.
-
You're probably right, but don't you think we could upgrade on either ? I've always thought Hojberg would flourish with a more experienced head alongside him. either pushing him on or trying to reign him in as the game requires.

Interesting comments reported from Ralph, seeking players under 24. This would support our interest in Webster for example, but rule out Orban and Pontus Jansson (speculated on yet again this summer). Although the idea of signing the younger players is an good option, I think we could do with experience in goal, and possibly MF to direct things. Availability of the players capable of making the difference in the positions and falling within our budget is another matter of course.
-
Not saying that, just pointing out where he had previously played. Some of our former players with Portsmouth connections have of course come good for us, most famous of all Bobby Stokes.
-
Sarri now officially left Chelsea for Juventus. Not bad business for Chelsea getting a compensation package for a bloke they were rumoured to be looking to sack towards the end of last season.

Former skate. Having checked on Wikipedia.

Hope that there has been some discussion with Watson previously. Irrespective of the merits of the decision , it'd be a pretty poor way to learn of your demotion/exit, via a translated interview in the press.

Read this of him in another article: Definitely our sort of signing then.
