Yes but just wish I had the same energy as I had in 1980 to enjoy it again.

Rohl was probably the option with most potential, though you don't know how he'd have fared if we'd have suffered a nosedive into relegation. How would that have affected him for next season ? Keeping options open perhaps. Better than lumbering ourselves with someone starting next season with 'give him 10 games' in EPL. I'd certainly welcome that if it happens.
-
Don't know much about him other than the name, Ivan Juric, and he's been described somewhere as a good defensive coach. Wonder if he attended the interview and on the topic of goals conceded said "hire me, and stop one.." * * 1970's graffiti for younger readers

Oliver Girroud has put on a bit of weight, and obviously hit the bottle with that red face.
-
Which one is Rasmus ?
-
Good, lets keep it that way.
-
I'd be happy to start next season with Rohl in charge for the Championship. Unfortunately I doubt we'd get a temporary manager in for just five months.

Wouldn't wish Lego on them. Although preferable to 'Shrek' as you call him.

Much better than 2022. They announced Ralph had gone in the morning, and by about 10.30 it was announced that we were after Nathan Jones. Think I prefer this one, at the moment. Just hope there is a swift outcome and it doesn't become a Rupert style "no ones ruled in, no ones ruled out" saga for six weeks.
-
Did they mean September 2023 ?
-
Good managerial prospect no doubt, but couldn't he have had a shave before turning up for his interview/first day of work? Bet Lawrie was sufficiently suited and booted when he attended his interview at The Dell.

Beard. Hipster choice MkII. Plus Spanish. And skinny jeans. (Extra points on the Rasmus hipster spectrum).
-
if he wins 5 games with us at least it'll take us above the Derby record.
-
I would have expected Calderwood to be placed temporarily in charge given his greater experience.

Mr Football doesn't need to 'learn' from anyone. He gives the lectures to spread the knowledge.

That's my recollection also. In fairness to Rupert here though, the backroom staff (Gray, Wigley and whoever) had shown loyalty to the club by not following Hoddle when he went to spurs, so RL felt some duty to them. On that score I think Lowe's stance was commendable, though unrealistic. What I didn't agree with him on though was that he later took the view that by keeping the backroom staff in place it wouldn't need a major upheaval every time a manager leaves. That was pretty naïve.

And Mike Dean wanting to take centre stage

Put the kettle on ?

Someone of his ilk would be great but I don’t think is around now. Really wanted KK to be a Saints manager many years ago. Think it was during Lowe’s time after moving to St Mary’s, when other unlikely candidates included ‘Arry, and Ginanluca Vialli. Not to be, Rupert knew best and I think we ended up with Stuart Gray (after Moyes turned us down). Anyway, as far as Keegan is concerned the ship has well and truly sailed. Twenty years too late for him.

Does such a person exist ?
-
Not really. He’s an experienced Championship player and was a decent selection at that level. Certainly couldn’t criticise his efforts last season.
-
You could be correct about us not wanting to pay compensation, whatever it is, especially at the rumoured £10m, which seems a high figure for a Championship manager. We got into a bit of a stand off with Swansea over RM. Bizarrely it may not even be resolved, and last I read Swansea were intent on suing Martin personally.
-
This probably seals it. Unless he fails badly on the skinny jeans, and vaping test, that is.
-
I must have imagined we were playing Liverpool midweek then.
-
Hadn’t heard much about him before. But at least it appears Rasmus has kept a beard in the dugout for some continuity Yes, good luck to him.
