Pretty poor and churlish from Martin. But it may at least bring him to the attention of Lineker and his Twiteratti followers. I suspect Adkins, Ralph or Koeman would have been more dignified in their response.
-
And don’t forget Bristol City at home, similar fixture before New Year lost 1-0 (promotion from Championship season).

Good point. We certainly want to avoid a Dani Osvaldo type signing or any Billy Big Bollocks. I suspect that might be a greater risk bringing in a loan from the Prem who thinks he’s above our level and acts in that fashion. An up and coming striker who meets the same work ethic as the rest though should be fine. Despite the risk, we’ve been crying out for a forward for two years now. That should be priority.

I know he was highly rated at one point, but does Brooks offer any pace ?
-
Yes, the Che factor at play again.
-
See mention above of Fraser starting. Personally I hope not as I don’t recall him impacting the game from the outset. I think the 60 minutes onwards is his time.
-
It’s times like this when you’re feeling confident that you also expect Saints will let you down.

This is the acid test of course. Our playing out from the back still concerns me but we haven’t conceded many recently or ballsed things up. Whether that’s due to us becoming better at it, or inept opposition is questionable, probably a mix of the two. Had great doubts about RM after going to Sunderland , Leicester, and then our performance against Rotherham even. But you can’t argue with results, so well done over the last 16 games. Hope he can maintain this momentum. For me though it is now a case of judging at the end of the season. The one thing no one seems to have touched on is his age, only 38 next week. If he can get us up, the media will be blowing smoke up his arse.

I thought the Freezer looked a bit too bulky and immobile. Full name must be Freezer Forster.
-
Just hope they don’t make their new manager appointment later today or tomorrow giving them the inevitable ‘bounce’ for the fixture as well
-
Agree about two strikers, but can’t see it happening. Isn’t it just a bit worrying that this fiasco might be one the Wilcox already ‘signed off’ this summer ?
-
Bullshit making at look as if Che is where we are pinning our hopes. They couldn’t be so stupid could they ?
-
Not doubting that. Just staggering that anyone would take this risk in the first place. Await the CoT update as and when available.
-
Is this informed from the Surgeon of Trust ?
-
I have wondered if we’ll see him play for us for any run in the team. IF we were to get promoted will the club think him up to Prem standard, or will we see him loaned to say Coventry at vastly subsidised wages ? He’s living up to my fear of being the Loch Ness Delgado at least.
-
Credit where it’s due, his injury is ahead of schedule. No excuses now. Think those responsible for this one haven’t so much taken on the the muppet baton but eaten the thing. (Many a true word said in jest, but unbelievable gamble and bit of business).

Mr Woo. ??
-
Miovski is probably the stand out obvious one to be linked with (especially given Darren Mowbray’s connection). But Saints don’t ‘do’ the clear and obvious to assist us immediately, we’d rather try and be clever with a more obscure purchase. Or a Man City trainee who might be okay in three seasons time. Melton - good one !
-
Killing the goose that lays the golden egg springs to mind. The EPL and especially the ‘big clubs’ will eventually realise they’ve ruined the ‘product’ or perhaps they won’t be bothered if the tourists continue to pay to sit in silence taking selfies.

3.44 - different language, familiar song. (Perhaps even the Germans sing about hating the skates)
-
He’ll no doubt have interest from the Premier League so an unlikely one to come to us even if we were interested and bidding. But would he suit our more ‘patient’ and methodical build up play though ?
-
Yes there is, but if we’re looking to sign a player to be Alcaraz’s mate to help him settle, I expect it will be at the ‘Chala/Bleidilis’ level rather than a club record signing !
-
League Cup SF though …
-
Plymouth linked with Leighton Baines (???), and two former skates, Cowley , and Cotterill among others. Other managerial news - as widely mooted Cooper sacked at Forest. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up a Championship club with potential.

Exactly, it’s a free shot on goal, a gilt edged opportunity. What try reinventing the wheel ? Every time someone tries to do that, and be clever it inevitably results in a balls up to the detriment of the team taking the kick. Remember Arsenal, Henry and one other (was it Pires ?). Two top level players at the top of their game, and they bollocksed one rather than simply taking it.
