  1. I thought Diego Garcia was one of ours
  2. Why don't they auction off all the guitars at the end to raise more money? Any investor sharp enough to see the potential in shares in the PST will surely snap up those air guitars.
  3. The only one I can come up with involves Barclays Bank, some ski masks and a sawn-off shotgun.
  4. Also there are a few places advertising online where you could get your Mrs. replaced

I would go out and check my hub caps if I was you mate.
  6. That's a bit unfair. They're right on the button with anything and everything that happens globally, as long as it happens between 9.00 and 17.00 UK time Monday to Friday, and has a disabled minority feminist angle to it.
  7. Now that's not a name you would associate with Pompey, is it?
  8. Nothing to worry about, it's just a temporary problem while they have to play against some teams that are above them in the league.

He prevented most of them from being able to get to work.
  10. We have a member that can answer that for you. From experience.
  11. Not forgetting, of course, that they still have around £6million previous compromise payments still to make, and that 'compromise agreement' is a polite way of saying 'pay your players to go and play for somebody else'. Not bad for a club at the bottom of the fourth division. I wish we were as rich as that.
  12. Using stolen passports would be too risky for terrorists. We know they were both recorded on the database if the airline had bothered to check. It's much easier and safer to use a real one obtained fraudulently. i.e. Having your details fraudulently applied onto a real stolen blank, or better still a real one properly issued by a corrupt official. Both are pretty easy to get your hands on if you want one.
  13. Gone wrong? I'm sure there a few people who would consider that the ability to make a large airliner with a range covering nearly half the planet just disappear from radar screens to be a success. Next, do it with a 777 over the North Pole with 8 hours fuel on board, and watch several billion people simultaneously sh1t themselves.
  14. I hear you would have very nice neighbours in that neck of the woods
  15. They've already had the last parachute payment. "We are convinced we can increase our playing budget..." doesn't sound like a confirmation to me, more like an aspiration. Anybody would think it's early-bird season ticket time again. I wouldn't worry too much about spending next season's gate money over the summer. Something will turn up. p.s. I think we'll get a useful insight into their financial plight when we see the early-bird ST prices.
  16. The transponder is the radar. SSR = Secondary Surveillance Radar If it was switched off there would be no 'return' unless by a massive coincidence it was being tracked by a military ship or aircraft. It was reported to be 150 miles from land when it went missing. I don't know the T7 intimately, but it's a fairly safe bet that somebody that knows what they're doing could make one disappear from radar screens that far out to sea.
  17. Interesting groundswell of opinion among the "skates wot post on t'internet", that if they can just get safely to the end of the season, then they can get a new squad in to replace the current useless bunch (again) during the summer, and push on upwards from there. They do know that they will have a LOT less money next year than they had this year, don't they?
  18. There was an article in The News last week giving away free tickets. Just sayin', like.

  20. You're pretty much confirming that FM is right to be concerned Are you genuinely suggesting that most of the garbage you can read on the internet and Wiki is an upgrade on what is written in newspapers?
  21. I don't know. Whether Florida Marin has But I certainly. Have.

    Expats...

I need something to work "outside the browser", to make the BBC iplayer and media player android apps believe that I'm in the UK. As I said I don't mind paying. I would probably prefer to pay rather than use a free one. Router-based would be ideal, but device-based is OK.
  23. ...particularly those in the Middle East. I've been using Overplay VPN for about a year now, in SA (the African one not the Arab one) and more recently in Kuwait. Until yesterday that is, as it has now been blacklisted by ZAIN. I use it mainly for streaming BBC iPlayer and Sky (using my UK account details). Question is are people around here using VPN technology and if so which one? I don't mind paying for a decent service. Overplay is costing me $10 a month. Ta
  24. Why dwell on today's bad news when you can publish upbeat rallying reports of games that were played only four years ago. Nobody will notice.
