  1. I see they've got a headhunting consultancy now looking for the new manager down at Fratton Park. They're looking for somebody with at least 5 years experience in a medium-sized food orientated retail environment.
  2. As soon as Contingency Fee Agreements became lawful.
  3. What happens when you get to the very lowest level, and get relegated again? Do you have to take up netball?
  4. The majority shareholders with the minority of votes say get rid, while the minority shareholders with the majority of votes say no? The only common factor is that they all have very deep pockets and very short arms. They are currently flat broke, and already way over their heads in debt for at least the next 3 years. And they are sure as hell not selling any season tickets for next year at the moment. What was that word again?
  5. I see they comfort themselves with the delusion that it's not the owner's fault (themselves in their minds), because any owner would have been forced to operate under the same financial and trading restrictions. I wonder, would that include an owner that used the parachute payments as they were intended and paid off to legacy debts to former players, instead of as working capital in the first year, while still making a substantial trading loss? And I also wonder how Mr. McInness and the other PHNW's are feeling this morning. What can they say or do? We've seen their debt repayment schedule to the former players next season, without any parachute payments left. Is it really worth it to chuck more money into the bottomless pit in a gamble to try and stay up in the next couple of months, only to create an opportunity to chuck even larger sums of their own cash in again next season due to hugely reduced ticket sales and no pp's to fund operating costs that will be more than double any other team in the division? Or is it time to chuck in the towel and blame "poor Ritchie"?
  6. It's a product of social networking. The world has always been full of nutters, but now journalists know where to find them. Get used to it, it's going to get worse.
  7. It's not all doom and gloom, they did keep another clean sheet up front.
  8. Rubbish. Today's Labour Party is crammed full of competent people, with proper degrees in Political Science an'all.
  9. The CEO manages the company, the Chairman manages the Board.
  10. I reckon psychometric profiling for all passengers and crew is the way forward. They could do it while we're waiting for the results of the tests on our shoes, belts, watches, glasses, wallets, toothpaste........
  11. Nope. You're confusing him with Avram. And 'Appy. And Guy.
  12. If the Month of the Goal competition is still open, can I go for January?
  13. Some of the idiots over on the skate boards are saying they have to do something to save their club. How thick are they, don't they know they already saved it last year?
  14. In answer to my own question earlier, I think 90 must be a large, large number
  15. Particularly this one...
  16. What an absolutely appalling piece of propaganda masquerading as journalism, again. When referring to negative posts, the online fans are "a small percentage of Pompey's overall support", but when it comes to positive posts "a large, large number of the online following still offer a very loyal backing". What is a large, large number, I wonder? Particularly where the author, by his own admission in the article, didn't bother to actually read the comments. One could be forgiven for thinking that the journalist who wrote it was deliberately writing crap articles in protest at receiving crap orders from his boss, who wanted to hide from the inevitable criticism.
  17. The anger and frustration of the Chinese government towards the Malaysian and other local governments for 'looking in the wrong place' in the first couple of days of the search spoke volumes to me. It was obvious that they knew something. Some of the idiots on this forum now owe Captain Moody an apology in my opinion. Let's see if they have the balls to step up.
  18. No it isn't, they had it in February. And they aren't getting any cash from Tesco, it's all being ringfenced, whatever that means, for the future expansion of the stadium. Lucky they've got the increased revenues from being in League 1 next season to fill the coffers.
  19. I think we're getting our Erics mixed up here. One is a very highly trained professional that can expertly manoevre a huge passenger jet with pin point accuracy anywhere in the world. The other one is a pilot.
  20. At least his commitment can't be questioned, can it?
  21. Make that 2
  22. Skates a goal down at Fleetwood too
  23. He headed up the Sports division at Credit Suisse, and others, for 10 years before he came to Saints.
  24. Oi, watch it. There's a few of us lurk on 'ere. mush.
  25. Apparently large queues of Britons are forming outside the Foreign Office as we speak, waiting to be "...forcibly removed and dumped in Mauritius or the Seychelles..." I'm on my way to join them.
