Can't imagine they've gone after the website without also going after the author. I hope the deeds to his house are in his wife's name.

Don't you people know the difference between a constructive banning, which is meant to be helpful, and a vindictive banning?

... after drawing at SMS earlier in the season IIRC
-
No they don't - the opportunity goes to SRL.

You're right, rocket science it ain't. But they're not going there. If they were they would have done it a loooong time ago. It's the one sure fire way of getting rid of Chinny.

Dropping all 3 points from a winning position? In the last five minutes? They deserve to go down.

Good summary Deano. I haven't had time to look at the Jan report due to more important things to do. Looking at what you've come up with, I don't see that you're wrong, but you have been very generous and given them the benefit of every doubt, to the extent that they would clearly be bankrupt again within a few months. As I see it, if you credit them with the PCC loan then you would have to reduce the remaining pp's by the same amount. It isn't really a loan in the normal sense, more of a factoring arrangement to bring some pp money forward at low interest. They could, of course, try to negotiate a proper loan, but the haven't. You would also need to reduce their available pot of cash by the amount of operating losses since January up until transfer of ownership. The rest may be a bit of swings & roundabouts after some haggling, begging and tears. If you can conveniently ignore "Chinny's floater" then they are currently at least £4m short IF they manage to get FP for a knock-down price of £3m, but more realistically well in excess of £5m short, and that is to buy a club that would need to be running at break even from day one because they have zero working capital. I'm not sure how that fits in with taking over at the start of a three month period with no income whatsoever. The question that is on everyone's lips is - Is betula pendula a real prunus persica or a bit of a citrus limon?

Not specific to this case but it would be extremely unusual for a body to be cremated so quickly if there was likely to be disputed evidence about head wounds, even in SA.

I think we're gonna have another one of those really lucky days where, for some totally unexplainable reason, Newcastle will have an off day and put on their worst home display of the season, and we will fluke a win. Again.

Charges of Culpable Homicide (Manslaughter to you and me) are automatic and compulsory in every fatal traffic incident in South African law. It isn't unusual to take years to get to Court. Most are found not guilty because they really are just accidents, or the unfortunate victim was the "guilty" party.

Oi. No fishing. Why can't you write your own material?

Oh well, that 2 game drawing streak had to come to an end sometime.

Don't frighten them. It's not fair.

And if they're really really really really really lucky, 22 points from safety, with 11 left to play. Shame.

The boy stood on the burning deck, The Trust they came aknockin'. Give us a grand ya dirty scum, Or we'll punch yer feckin' block in.

The boy stood on the burning deck, His Pompey scarf around him. His hand it clutched his futile pledge, And that was how they found him.

If it turns out like that, I'm sure we would take it easy on them next week. We wouldn't want to kick a good man when he was down would we?

Wigan and/or Reading are gonna pick up at least a point. Saggy's gonna be telling us that his squad isn't big enough for this league (again), and who knows what will happen at Arsenal. By tomorrow evening we might not even care anyway. FWIW I reckon Wigan will pick up 3 points, and QPR, Reading, Villa & Newchateau will get none.

Apology accepted Tokyo, and I wasn't South African then Crab, I was just a plain old ex-pat pommie in those days.

Dear Mr. Farmery, The reason, I suspect, that Portpin know so much about Harris' bid is because, when Harris' bid was presented to the creditors for approval, they took the trouble to open the envelope and read it. While I appreciate that such an approach is a bit radical, I do think that it is one your colleagues on the board might consider. Yours helpfully, PTS

Can I just say as probably the only South African citizen on here that I find this racism most offensive. He may be a legless psychopath but he's our legless psychopath. Although I do think he's guilty as sin, and they should have locked him up & thrown away the key. I can see his house from my window, & I've actually been done in that court where he was bailed - fined R200 about 15 years ago for failing to stop at a stop sign.

It's what happens when you can't pull down the pub on a Saturday night any more

Don't worry it's not a problem. The FL stipulation only relates to carrying forward old legacy debt. The cunning skates are borrowing money to pay off the old legacy debt, so this is new debt. That doesn't count.
