I'm pretty sure that the League have discretion to allow them to continue next season in admin with more points deducted, and have done so with other clubs in the past. Don't forget that the rules say that if you suffer an insolvency event (admin) then you immediately get expelled from the league, but as an alternative the league might allow you to continue if you agree to accept a points deduction. I think what Clarke was saying earlier this week is that in this case the FL won't be excercising it's discretion if they don't sort themselves out properly, without any legacy debt or convoluted repayment schemes, before the start of next season.
