A minor edit for the sake of accuracy.

According to the Echo, he was a bit more positive than quoted on here so far, from what I've seen:

Ideal game for some more of that new-found though mis-placed post-Villa confidence.

I bet we can't make this one a sticky.

He saw it as a "five year then cash in" deal. Somebody else didn't. When the loophole was closed he walked. It wasn't really a huge sum to tie up short term. The potential gains in commercial property from rock bottom over the next five years will be quite attractive. edit: Sorry I didn' really answer your point. I think he stuck the original deal (with the get-out clause) with the Trust, but when it came time to agree final terms with Birch and/or Chainrai, it was kicked out.

I'm sure Italian Sue could give you a few pointers.

Here's how I see it: Robinson had put together a "buy & lease back" deal that had some kind of clause that would let him evict his tenants at some time. The Trust were happy with that. They'll sign anything 'coz it's Trust or Bust after all, innit? But somebody, probably Birch or Chainrai, rumbled it, and Robinson walked. He (a Spurs fan) was never interested in being the long term landlord. He was banking on them not being able to afford to buy it back, leaving him free after five years to do what he wanted with it. They know, after three years of being bankrupt, that nobody else is going to step up and buy the ground for them on terms that weren't acceptable to Robinson. So their choices were: 1. That's it, we're fooked, or; 2. That's brilliant, now we can try and buy FP for ourselves. They've got 2 weeks to come up with another five million quid, or else they will own the phoenix club playing somewhere else and FP wil be a development site.

A Trust board member went on the record last night saying he had meetings with Tesco about redevelopment plans for the site. That's the reason for the about-turn in their proposals. Tesco explained how the concept of "buy one get one free" works, and the Trust have concluded that if Robinson buys the land next door, then they can get FP for nothing.

Maybe he's been nicking hubcaps?

I've got a couple on my chest, from "keyhole" surgery. They look exactly like bullet holes! Makes for some interesting "tales" around the pool. Due to complications, they eventually had to cut my chest open at the back, so I can even display the scar where they removed the bullets.

Why don't they just do away with the batteries altogether and fit them with proper petrol engines?
-
For the sake of balance, the Trust has not said that it has got any new or additional funding. That only appeared in yesterday's "Sun". It has not been confirmed by any reliable source. And the PST has not said that it is now buying FP. What it did actually say is "The Trust has revealed that it now intends to try to buy Fratton Park on Day One of taking control."
-
So, it's farewell to the short-lived PDT, and a great big SWF "Welcome Back" to the PST. Robinson has walked, and they have two weeks to find another mug, or else those barstewards Chainrai & Kushnir will turn into Baloo and Levi again. It's lucky they've got a shedload of cash in the bank for all those bills at the end of the month, otherwise this latest adjournment could have been a really serious problem.
-
...and the next 50 or so replies, including the PDT big guns & board members, berate anybody who dares to question rather than give any answers.

Suspended, not postponed.

They're selling off 64Gb Blackberry Playbooks for around £125. I bought another 2 of them, and now have 3 in the house. None connected to Blackberry, but they have WiFi and make great e-readers/media streamers/net surfers.

We're gonna struggle to take 4 off Wigan. Or Sunderland. So we need to take more than 4 when we can.

I wonder how the meeting with the local MP and the leader and CEO of the City Council is going today? And what will be in the amended Trust offer that Farmery promised would be made public this week. It's going to be a busy afternoon.

Scriptwriter for post match interviews?

I think they're being softened up for the final blow. This is in The News:

You're wrong. Appy's win record us worse than useless at every club he has ever managed.

Maybe so he can sell the land at his own price. Nobody knows whether he would get a golden share, or whether he would even want one. But he could get the deeds to FP for just over 300k. But at least the assets could be sold for what they're worth rather than what the buyer can afford to pay.
