The offer from the PDT seems to be £2.6m to the secured creditor and 2p in the £ to the unsecured, but Birch is going to be asking the creditors and, possibly, the High Court, to grant him an extension while he waits for them to find the money to pay that. What if Chainrai was to say that he will pay himself £2.6m and the unsecured creditors 2p in the £ right now, without any need for any extension to the administration. Surely without any extension he would either have to accept that offer or liquidate.

We won't miss Lallana then

Or to quote Neil from yesterday:

I think you and Tricky Trev have been drinking at the same fountain, because he is clearly hell-bent on selling the club to the buyer with the least amount of money. I do use the term "selling" in it's loosest possible sense.

What's the tune?

A couple of things seem to be important to me: 1. They are clearly short of cash 2. The legal fees are crippling them. It has been reported in the past that the legal fees are being "underwritten" by the HNWIs. That has been taken by many to mean paid by the HNWIs, but personally I doubt that. I've had a few too many run-ins with IPs over the years, and one constant is that they won't go to Court without financial backing from somewhere, usually the creditors. I think what has happened is that Birch got a guarantee from the HNWIs to pay the legal costs in the event that he couldn't do it from club funds. Without that he was exposed to a successful application for security from Portpin. He has now told them that he hasn't got any money left, so they will need to honour the guarantee. They will need to pay PKFs legal costs up till now, plus a substantial portion of Portpins costs because Birch pulled the plug at the last minute when his case fell apart. And on top of that he will need another couple of hundred grand to continue with the case if they want to proceed with their bid. I would be very surprised if this gets back to Court.

Nice to see us coming back into the game at 1-4 down

I do remember that one trousers, but I must have missed the bit where they decided to ignore all the options and train at FP instead.

Oh dear. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/291327/ And a Creditor's meeting on Tuesday to boot. Expect the bigger creditors to be asking Mr.Birch why he threw several hundred grand of their money down the toilet in a futile expedition to the High Court on behalf of a bunch of tyre kickers.

Didn't it spawn the famous "Playoffs at best" thread from our yodelling stalwart?

Sshhhhh!!! Don't spoil the fun.

What with Mr.Robinson having renewed his vows, and the unprecedented success in converting pledges into cash, I'm expecting an urgent application to bring the Court date forward, because to wait until the last minute on 15th might suggest that they can't really improve their case.

We've got meerkats running round the estate where I live. You can send me the cheques if you want.

They do every game in full, but not all live. We usually get 7 or 8 live over a Saturday & Sunday, although I noticed before I left that there don't seem to be so many live games today.

Check the schedules for later on, they will have the full 90 mins delayed sometime through the night. You can record it on your pvr.

Dear Turks, I used to be an average guy, one of the lads, with typical browny-yellow teeth of a 40-year smoker. But since I quit smoking I've noticed my teeth are turning white. Should I be worried?

Hasn't it gone awfully quiet out there.

In other words "we've counted it again, and we still haven't got enough. But we really really do want to be fansontheboard".
