  1. On the other hand, he could be the captain of the 24th ranked international team in the world, who is still acclimatising to the PL and living in a new country. As long as he continues to improve we might give him some slack
  2. Nah, for that to be right they would have to be playing in a different division every season.
  3. I thought Jhon only joined us in the Championship
  4. Having dual nationality, I get to choose every day when I wake up. Having 2 driving licences is a bit of a bonus, wherever I get stopped I only ever have a foreign licence. Funnily enough I haven't got any points. Only drawback in the UK is that you can't pay a fixed penalty with a foreign licence, you have to go to Court.
  5. Fixed a typo for you there Tokyo
  6. If it's gonna be anything like the post above yours trousers, then I can't wait.
  7. Not sure that's right. I think the figures have already been added up, and as long as the Judge is nice to them next month, they can proceed with the purchase whether they sell any £1,000 "shares" or not. McInness's cronies and the property developer have seen to that. Not one penny of their £1,000 will go towards actually saving the club. As Frodo said "We set out to save the club, Sam. And we did save it, only not for us"
  8. I saw it more as an attempt to break the chain, and make sure that if anybody bought the club out of admin this time round they actually paid money for it rather than get it on tick. I don't think it was personal.
  9. Is it true that some of our first team are still sending notes to Santa up the chimney this year?

    Leage 1

Good to keep an eye on our loan players as well. At least that's my excuse.
  11. What we know so far is that Mr. Birch intends to sell the club, without Fratton Park, to "Portsmouth Community Football Club Limited [PCFC]". PCFC will have a minimum paid-up share capital of £1,825,000 from the "HNW" shareholders. Most of that will go to the purchase of the club (the CVA plus fees). The football club will be owned by PCFC. The minimum investment required to buy shares in PCFC is £50,000 so pretty much all of the fans are excluded from owning shares in the club. Mr. Birch intends to separately sell Fratton Park to a Spurs fan named Stuart Robinson for £2,600,000 That money will go to Portpin & PCFC will pay Robinson rent for the ground. Skates are being invited to contribute £1,000 each to the PST in exchange for a "share" in PST. PST will not own the club, but will be allowed to purchase shares in PCFC. Unless they can find more than 1,826 fans with a spare grand in their pocket a month before Christmas, the PST will be minority shareholders. The club will be run and predominantly owned by the HNW shareholders and will be forever at the mercy of a property developer landlord who wants his rent money every month. It certainly is ground-breaking. I was expecting the prospectus to be received with euphoria at the blue end of Hampshire, but I can see why it's actually being received with stunned silence. edit: I suppose the first question is why aren't they offering to sell the fans shares in Portsmouth Community Football Club Ltd for a grand apiece?
  12. Personally I'd give Gazza another game. Anyway Rickie's best position is up front.
  13. Exactly. The Trust issued a statement on Friday So is it the one on Friday, or is there another one coming today?
  14. Does anybody know how many prospectii there will be? We know there was allegedly one issued on Friday, but will there be another one today? I think the one we got on Friday is a spoof, knocked up down the pub on his new i-pad by a nutjob. I say that because the News has been absolutely silent on the one issued on Friday. Not one single word. And our dear friend Neil even published an article on Saturday, 24 hours after the first "prospectus" was released, telling us that the prospectus would be released today. It would certainly explain why the "Friday" version is so full of rubbish.
  15. Maybe so, but at least they are polite, and grateful, to him when he does go back: The above from the News branch of the PDT Recruitment PR department. And there is no selective use of quotes there, there genuinely is not one comment of praise or thanks.
  16. Is it true they're having a ballot in the Fratton end at ht to pick the second half subs?
  17. Football fans that lurk on the internet? Worst kind of people.

    Ramirez watch

If you want good value Eric get one at the manure shop. They have 75 minutes in every hour.
  19. Rubbish. How can you say such a thing. This time they've got nice new owners, who have purchased the club (maybe) in a leveraged deal using money they have borrowed by putting the stadium up as security. It's nothing at all like last time, or the time before, or the time before that. No sireee. Absolutely not. Never.
  20. Just a thought, but would it be worth re-installing the RAID drivers?
  21. Rival bidder for Portsmouth Football Club, Portpin, has issued this statement:
  22. Wouldn't she just pïss all over the team like everybody else does when they visit Fratton Park these days.
  23. And for those of you anxiously waiting to get your hands on a copy of that elusive prospectus..................tough titty.
  24. Ah, so it's not a Pompey Supporter's Trust then, it's more of a Pompey and Some Other Clubs Supporters and Property Developers Trust.
  25. So shït or bust time has arrived. This will be interesting, I'm already confused. According to Trev, the PST have signed the contract to purchase the club, but it is conditional on a Court challenge over the Park. What is interesting is that he says the Trust is buying the club. He also says the Trust is buying the Park. But the Trust hasn't got any money. So either something odd is afoot, or Trev is (at best) being economical with the truth. I'm not suggesting in any way that this relates to Pompey, but it would be a jolly good prank to get the intellectually challenged to buy shares in a trust if they thought that the trust was going to buy the football club and the stadium with their money.
