    Dragan Solak

Because he quite likes Dragan Solak.
  2. Be racist idiots? Yeah, that would be lovely. Vote Reform and find out!
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cnveqgj957dt Good on Charles.
  4. Fucking idiot is taken in by some Russian nonsense about a nuclear-powered cruise missile and now wants to restart utterly pointless, but tension-creating, nuclear tests. This after his idiot Israeli friends prompted the Saudis to call in their ear-marked nukes from Pakistan by bombing Qatar. Is there a Nobel Peace Prize for nuclear proliferation?

    Will Still

The fact that, Coventry aside, there isn't much of a correlation between the expected points and the actual points shows it's a fucking stupid way to assess anything. It's not like we are the outlier.
  6. Miles off
  7. At the risk of sounding miserable.... who cares?
  8. Yep, nothing to do with the ECHR etc.
  9. How do you know who the bad apples are?
  10. Greens?
  11. I get it, but Archer just isn't working in that role and Armstrong is much more effective - and is genuinely effective - coming in from a supporting position. I'd like to play Aribo there but he doesn't seem to be in contention. So, I'd role the dice and give Downs a start. If he's shit, get him off at HT.
  12. Agree with some of this, although I'm not sure why you would assume Welly isn't suspended. However, Armstrong is still our biggest goal threat so I would probably pick him as the right forward. I'd also probably pick Fellows ahead of Azaz. Fellows looks comfortable receiving the ball in deep positions and on the half-turn, and has already been doing a shift at wing back, so I don't see why he can't start in midfield. Obviously Aribo would be a good option there, or even upfront, but feck knows.... Also, Smallbone! So, my team would be: Big Mac Mads Wood Quarshie Manning ----Downes--Jander----- Armstrong-Fellows-Scienza Downs Subs: Baz, Stephens, Edwards, Sesay, Matsuki, Azaz, Fraser, nipper forward, Robinson
  13. What's Ben Thatcher up to?

    Dragan Solak

    He's not Serbian, he's Maltese.

    Dragan Solak

Rasmus Wankerson is director of a company in the Sports Republic group that is co-owned by a Malian guy who runs academies there. I noticed this the other day and posted it another thread.
  16. Ad nauseam phallus, incoming.

    Will Still

Obviously Still isn't responsible for every error. And for every manager in history who has done a bad job you can find a reel of players making mistakes. This really isn't the point. For me, the question is, putting aside misses: - after a quarter of a season, do we look good? No. - how many matches have we dominated and been clearly the better side? Maybe 2? - how many matches have we looked comfortable and won comfortably? Zero. - are we playing entertaining football and using the expensive attacked talent we have? Not really. - is there obvious progression in line with a plan, such as you can accept a few bumps in the road as you can see the end in sight? No, not really. - is it reasonable to expect a manager with our squad to be doing far, FAR, better? Yes, definitely.
  18. Lego Head plus whichever geniuses thought Archer and Brereton Diaz were the forwards we needed.
  19. Update: just seen an all time classic shirt pull.
  20. I'm watching El Classico. The skill level is fantastic, although some of the defending is ropey. Rashford and Bellingham are both having superb matches.
  21. Other interesting thing to be aware of: Sports Republic seem to have set up a company which is co-owned by a Malian man involved in football academies in Mali. So maybe one day we will get that big brick shithouse striker or midfielder. After Goztepe, of course.
  22. It's hard to work it out due to the number of holding companies involved and various different categories of shares. I started looking once but couldn't be arsed after about 15 minutes. But anyway, as you go up the chain, you eventually find that the only individual with over 75% control of Sports Republic Holding Limited is Dragan Solak. Ankersen and Kraft have some shares but it's a small amount, and Kat still has 20% of the football club, so the level of control over the business with the football league share that Kraft and Ankersen have is very small. Solak is apparently Maltese and lives in Switzerland.

    Will Still

I would agree with this if Still actually showed signs of competence or progress, but he doesn't. He looks like someone who is unsure of what he's doing and can't communicate a clear plan to the players. And the idea that we have a persistent core of bad players that need dealing with is undermined by leaving new, expensive, signings on the bench, and leaving our own youngsters out, because he's too one dimensional and clueless to form any sort of tactical plan other than hoping for an overlap and getting it in the mixer.
  24. Would be a fantastic appointment but I very much doubt he is interested.
