By far the best ever transfer window was when we allowed Koeman to sign players innit. We should just pay him a fee to do our summer windows.

Seems to me that the only major, major problem under Gao (ignoring shenanigans with the fake sponsor etc.) was lack of funds. We got an owner that seemed willing to put funds in - not at Abu Dhabi / Riyadh / Russian mafia levels, but still more than Gao - but they've chosen to couple the funds with batshit stupid decision making.
