  1. I wanted to let everyone know that I'm selling "Protect are children" starter kits. Contains: - crate of Stella - balaclava - some tasteful tattoo templates - ankle tag - colour chart - Wetherspoon voucher (enough for a breakfast bap, pint and a bomb chaser) - Reform UK "membership" - "live, love, laugh" ornament for the ladies - Lonsdale runners Vital gear for the socially conscious patriot. 100 quid all in. Family special, 3 for 2. Email me at: shouldhavetriedharder@school.com
  2. I agree. My main point was that people seem to be getting upset at the thought of getting soundly beaten away at Newcastle, but it's really not important. We will get soundly beaten on numerous occasions this season. The games that matter are the bottom half ones.
  3. It's a very different place to Qatar, socially, demographically, physically, despite the geographic and cultural similarities. I wouldn't be at all surprised if by 2034 you can have a drink at the ground. They've got 10 years to build it all, which should be plenty. If they get the right people in charge of the fan experience, get the accommodation and transport sorted in good time it'll probably be a better event. Will have to be in the winter again, though.
  4. Isn't it just a butch bird? They've always been knocking about.
  5. There seems to be some growing alarm that we might get beaten comfortably on the opening day. So what? Here's a reminder of what a reasonably successful season will look like this year: - beat six or seven of the bottom half at home (circa 20 points) - one or two surprising home results (4 points) - three away wins (9 points) - 6 battling draws (6 points) - around 19 defeats = 39ish points and probably staying up. Stop shitting the bed.
  6. We need a decent physical / defensive midfielder. Fact.
  7. It is. The guy is a stupid, criminal cunt.
  8. I hadn't realised BBD was only 25. I thought he was a bit of a journeyman. For EUR 8m, I concur that it is, indeed, a no-brainer. Experience in the league, not really a gamble, and cheap (less than Tall Paul, and just over a third of a Sulemana, FFS). He'll be very useful the following season if he go down, and if he does enough as a striker to earn himself a move up the food chain we'll make a huge profit.
  9. Looks like his business is a sole trader, not a limited liability company. It also appears that a supplier has petitioned for the bankruptcy. So, yeah, I would NOT pay him any cash.
  10. https://x.com/Acyn/status/1816249123735232543?t=EfLafe7p6byYwRa3Lgs2rw&s=19 The guy is a dribbling old wreck. Far too old and senile to be running for President, before you factor in the raping, thieving, lying and insurrectionism.
  11. Sounds like Trump is scared to debate her from his ramblings today. Also, wankstains like Elon Musk seem to be panicking a bit. No doubt Putin, Xi and Kim are not best pleased either.
  12. Would that rule out a serial lying, convicted felon, thieving, rapist?
  13. Good news. Only one more year so no massive exposure. We need to add quality but we don't want tons of ins and outs rocking the harmony / camaraderie in the group He's clearly well liked and one of the important characters. Whilst he's never going to be a van Dijk or a Alderweirald, he's played a role in some big performances for us at PL level.
  14. There's only one Juan.
  15. Looks cheap and horrible and the sponsor is an embarrassment. But I don't really care.
  16. Quick post mortem thoughts. - prob time for Southgate to go, but not sure who replaces him. - Kane can only be in the team if the team includes wingers running beyond him. Major cock up by Southgate.... - Picking two players that want to play the same position (Bellingham and Foden) was a mistake (compounding the previous point). - going back to 4231 in the final was a mistake. As ever, central midfield is a weakness in the squad. Rice is not good enough to play holding role at top international level. Need to get Wharton into the team alongside Mainoo and save Rice for a bit of energy later on. - Palmer too good not to get into the team. Saka one of our best players. So you've got to choose Foden or Bellingham, IMO. - we need to be much better drilled and more active off the ball.
  17. Getting shot should help him be more relatable to the black vote.
  18. It sounded like there was another shot several seconds later, after Trump is hiding on the ground, and then there was a large scream. I'm guessing that might have been a shot that hit a spectator, but who knows. It also looked like the shooter was to the right of Trump and somehow managed to hit him in the right ear without nutting him. Mental! It's also very odd how Trump asks to wait while he gets his shoes, and then says, "wait, wait, wait" to the security staff once he's on stage and they hang around for him to do his salute. Cracking work by Beeb. https://x.com/SharpFootball/status/1812265909727396107?t=VjTos42fYISNBTMEAzS3TA&s=19
  19. "Mine!!". That's three Dallingas. See it off
  20. My dad works with his son (don't ask).
  21. Let's hope he's as good as Kane McClaggon, Omar Rowe, Jamie White or even, dare I say, Matt Mills.
  22. Am I the only one who thinks we need "another Downes", not just Downes? We need him plus a combative midfielder with energy and recovery ability. We 100% won't get away with Downes, Smallbone, Aribo as a PL midfield. And even if we could, we saw last year that we're buggered if Downes misses a match. Can Ghoddos do that role?
  23. It's pretty obvious that one of Rice, Bellingham or Foden needs to be left out (or both of the latter two if you prefer Palmer). Kane is best with runners off him. Saka starts because of that and then we need Palmer, Gordon or Bowen on the left. Our best player in that position is Sterling, but he's not fashionable any more. The biggest problem is the progression through midfield. Rice is no deep lying playmaker, but is an excellent box to box. It needs to be Rice (or Bellingham) plus another central midfielder who can use the ball (not "Trent" and not Gallagher). So it's Mainoo or Wharton, plus Rice or Bellingham IMO. Once Shaw is back that should also help us. I'd set up the front players like this: --------Mainoo----Rice---------- Saka---------Foden-------Palmer ---------------Kane-------------
  24. Mainoo was good. Bellingham rubbish. Rice can't play deep. Southgate all over the place.
