The worry is that we are conceding simple headed goals. Burnley at home, Arsenal at home, HTFC at home, Spurs away.... It's not hard for other team to score. Lukaku and Ibrahimovic will be looking forward to playing us. If you're letting in goals like that then keeping the space tight in front and defending the ball on the deck well is irrelevant. That's the blueprint for playing away to the top sides but if they can just float the ball into the box and nod an easy header in then it's academic. So I wouldn't bother trying to play like that against Man U. We need to play further up the pitch and try to get at them. Might get stuffed but then we might have anyway.

They didn't get on with Puel either. Maybe we have a bunch of dicks for a squad.

It's a different situation. Poortvliet was given a terrible squad. Even then, you could see what he was trying to do though and there was evidence of some positive coaching. This squad is not one of the worst in the division but there is no evidence the manager has any clue how to do anything.

Not sure why he was singled out for booing. Forster and Stephens were terrible. Long was terrible. Yoshida wasn't great etc...

Forster - is he actually OK? I mean does he have a medical condition or something? Stephens - completely out of his depth as a defender at this level. Yoshida and Hoedt - Fonte / Lovren. Alderweirald / Fonte. Van Dijk and Fonte. Enough said. Targett - only relative positive. Good player. Will be excellent for us in the second division. Romeu / Hojbjerg - OK and not the main problem. Lemina - clearly not fully fit or is fed up already. I blame the manager either way Long - every good touch is followed by a shocker. Redmond - will only ever be OK. Boufal - frustrating but potentially our best player so we ought to be building an attacking plan around him, not shunting him around and picking him sporadically. Pellegrino - clueless.

Right, so now Redmond will start slaughtering full backs, Stevie D will get ten goals a season, Cedric will learn how to cross and shoot and Forster will save more than he lets in. Result!

I think Austin may simply be physically incapable of starting Sun-Weds-Sat. So I can't blame MP for leaving him out today.

Not too fussed about Austin being on the bench but the chopping around with the midfield isn't helping anyone. Hojbjerg seems to be in good form, Romeu is the anchor and Lemina is our best player so let them build an understanding. Central defenders change all the time too. Again, not helpful. And Boufal has been the most consistent out if him, Tadic and Redmond but keeps getting benched. It's fine to tweak it away to the top sides but when a proper big game comes around, like the winnable game last Wednesday and next Saturday's match, we should have a settled eleven.

Lemina and Boufal must be ****ed off. Just decide who the best eleven are and pick them for a few games FFS.
