Stephens stitches Armstrong up.

Home one looks smart. The red trim on the white one looks shite and ruins it overall. I am told the away kit is black. LD Sports looks awful.

I believe I made this point many, many pages ago. A virus running rampant through the population causes economic contraction. People in the UK were adopting self-imposed measures before the official lock down began but this needed to be supplemented by a decent testing and containment programme. The government in the UK was slow, muddled and misguided. From the start, the proper experts in this field advocated rapid precautionary responses, with a focus on testing and tracing and isolating outbreaks. We did none of that and followed some sort of managed growth fantasy.

Agreed. Seems like a good bloke and did a good job against City but Valery has made him look better than he is. If we can get him signed quickly and fairly cheaply then I’m ok with it but you know it won’t work like that and we should be looking elsewhere as well. RB, CB and LB (unless Vokins is considered good enough) have to be our priorities.

Can I just say.... Hahaha, fuck you, skates!

Great performance. Shows how managers are on a hiding to nothing though. If we set up like that in the second half and conceded two, which we easily could have, this place would be full of people saying we were too negative and one goal was never enough etc... But anyway, fair play to the team for pulling that grit and effort off after we hit the 40 points. JWP, Armstrong, Ings and Redmond are really well suited to Ralph’s tactics. If we can add some competition at the back (really we need a RB, LB - unless Vokins is good enough - and CB) and a bit more quality in centre mid we’ve got a decent squad. It’s a shame we had such a shite start to the season as this is a “Europe opportunity” year with the Man City ban and Arse and Spurs not being great.

Adam's!!!

A joke candidate, narcissistic weirdo with no political experience. He's got no chance......
-
The funny thing is that utter shite like us, Palace, Burnley and Sheff U even have a whiff of Europe.

That is proper class. He's a 50m+ player.

Balls of Steel Don is such a big strongman who definitely isn't a useful idiot for the Kremlin is so big and strong and manly and tough and big and strong and tough and hard and manly and strong and hell-yeah! that his response to finding out that Russia were paying bounties to mercenaries who kill US soldiers was to publicly clamour for Russia to be invited to the G8. He's so manly and big and strong and tough for a senile traitor.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m
benjii replied to The Odd Guy's topic in The Saints
I covered that in my first paragraph. The Saudis aren't trying to buy Newcastle to make money directly. It's a PR exercise to help them drive interest and investment into their economy, to diversify from oil and try to become a tourism destination and drive demand for infrastructure development. It also provides a level of political cover and cache. Yeah, you might get lucky and attract a sovereign wealth fund or a mega-billionaire but it's unlikely and it's not a sound business proposition. -

Neither Burnley nor Saints are a sensible investment if you are looking to make money. If you’re looking to create a legacy, some sort of public relations push on behalf of a government or what have you then there’s probably not much in it but Southampton is obviously a bigger place and closer to London. If you’re looking for a return, better to buy a Champ club or even League One with decent infrastructure, like Sheff U, Wolves, Leicester etc. and like us with Markus. To materially increase the value of Saints or Burnley would take hundreds of millions, on top of the purchase price. Who is seriously looking to do that? -
Some excellent points made here:

Here's the best insight I've heard yet on this matter:

KWP's rear foot was playing him on.
