  1. I agree with these. We can keep ourselves compact and have plans to deal with their danger men without changing the shape that we have started to develop. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet if we go with a defensive mindset but I can see us scoring if we look to spring our own counter attacks.

    Fans Event

I went. It was amazing. Loads of top Saints fans, the usual suspects from the club and a couple of VERY special guests. Some really exciting snippets were offered. Unfortunately, the club asked us not to tell anyone about it or post on Saintsweb.
  3. The point is that the definition you came up with can be applied to most countries with an active military foreign policy so it is not very useful when one of those countries seeks to rely on it to justify their actions. Calling whole units within a government “terrorists” is simple-minded and intended to appeal to those people who struggle with complexity i.e Trump voters.
  4. “unlawful intimidation”.
  5. So do any number of government agencies. Trump threatened to destroy "cultural sites" which makes him a terrorist as well then. That being the case, it is hardly a label which legitimises the action. The reality is that this operation is unlikely to achieve any benefit, has weakened the US position in Iraq and hastened Iran's nuclear ambitions, one would imagine.
  6. Good news if we've agreed 8m Euro for him though. Better than walking on a free whenever his contract runs out. Let's just hope he's not so ****e that they don't want him.
  7. Are you saying Johnson hasn’t had dirt on him published? Michael Howard, IDS, William Hague, John Major, the list goes on.... they were all hounded by the media for one reason or another. The media will bash any politician that appears deserving of a bashing, regardless of party. It’s nonsense to suggest Corbyn was given a hard time because he was Labour leader. He was given a hard time for being utterly incompetent, and rightly so.
  8. Wow, that’s crazy. Something similar happened to me. When I reached puberty I found some ectoplasm in my shorts one day.
  9. It makes sense for him to take some time off to concentrate on his GCSEs.
  10. I'd have him back. He'd fit Ralph's shape perfectly and it would leave transfer funds for priority areas of defence. He might have been a knob when he left but everyone has moved on since then anyway.
  11. I went to 5Guys the other day and the potatoes were from Poortvliet farm. That's a fact.
  12. Straight out of the dictator’s playbook....
  13. So, it’s 3rd round time. Always a good weekend in the season. I’m sure we will rest Ings, and it makes sense for Romeu to play this one but I hope we put out a strong team and win the tie. We don’t want to lose momentum and everyone loves a cup run. It’s a shame we don’t have any full back options though as it would also be good to give them a rest. 14. Naughty.
  15. Delle Ali!
  16. Bournemouth better hope they can find those begging buckets if they go down. We've signed some ****e but Solanke and Ibe take some beating in the "spaffing money on rubbish" awards.
  17. What penalty is Mourinho complaining about? The one where Ali dived when the cross came in? Mental!
  18. I think the fact Bertrand absolutely wellied it. It was hit so hard he had no time to react. That said, if it had been given VAR would not have overruled it, IMO.
  19. Strange pen for West Ham, there.
  20. Great performance against 12 men. Stephens and Ward Prowse have stepped up hugely. That was one of JWP’s best games, despite set pieces being a bit off. McCarthy and Bednarek were composed and solid. Cedric and Bertrand were excellent. Hojbjerg was tidier than usual. Armstrong so hard working and committed. Ings - proper class. Djenepo didn’t have a great game but worked hard. Redmond worked hard but, frankly, was poor on the ball. One of our best performances of the season. Well done, Ralph and the lads.
  21. In any event, happy new year everyone! I would get off here for the evening, if I were you!
  22. He’s much brighter than you when it comes to logic. Either that, or your wind up routine is getting tired.
  23. FFS You think the Bible plucked Jerusalem out of its ass or you think maybe the writers of the Bible knew Jerusalem was already an important site for the Jews? The fact that two disparate groups of people know the same thing doesn’t establish some sort of spiritual link between them.
  24. South Pole? Jungles of PNG? Middle of Australia?
  25. If you choose to borrow money then you need to assess whether your income or other resources will allow you to repay it. If you're borrowing more to service existing debt, you'd better be pretty sure it will, or you'll be screwed. You don't just borrow what you want on the basis that you will surely have enough money coming in somehow to repay it. The banal household analogy is of pretty limited value when you're talking national macroeconomics managed by transient governments, in any event. The point is that cutting expenditure is a legitimate response to unmanageable levels of expenditure. Simple as that. You can look at growth but you also need to look at spending. It's a balancing act. It's not dogmatic, like Corbynism. You started the contest by calling me stupid. I agree, it is not needed. Res ipsa loquitur.
