So who is spreading them? And why? Silly me, of course I knew the answer before I asked the question doh.

'It's a funny old game' You really couldn't make it up if you tried. One minute, the Echo are treated like Lepers at SMS and the relationship was f&%*ed. Now, we have a 'source close to Cortese' spilling the beans to the Echo! Spin and more spin. On a day when Emperor Blair's book of bull**** hits the shops, now we are being fed more BS! Is this something for my Nokia 6230i?

I don't think bp is far off the mark, with his posts. I have no idea if his post re Martin is true (no reason to doubt it) but it sits with the 'other stuff' coming out of SMS. My info is that the relationship between AP and NC was broken beyond repair. AP was not prepared to be dictated to and NC insisting his views on team selection were taken on board by AP. Then there is the rumour of the 'item' that brought things to a head last week (confirmed by a trusted poster on here). There was only going to be one winner and that was NC. I think that we are going to be 'feed' some tit bits on AP during the coming days to justify the decision.

We got exactly what our play deserved, nothing. That was, imo, a poor performance. Whilst I think that Swindon were by far the better side, we had little to bother them. Jonnyboy, your post is unpleasant re Cortese croaking.

I got my tickets this morning and was told gate expected to be under 7k

I really don't care where he lives, Italy, Yorkshire, Romsey, next door to me or Austria, as far as I'm concerned he is a fan and is entitled to his view the same as everyone else. Can't say I always agree with him but.........

You don't really think any member of staff wanting to keep their job is going to comment, do you?
-
Re NC, I think there is more to come. NC is set at 'making his mark' at SFC. I foresee changing names of the stands during the next 12 months. In my view, he is set on putting the club on a more 'business footing'.

Time will tell.

Why on earth would he leave?

My £5 has gone on Shearer.

I met my 'contact' earlier today and he informed me that he was told Saturday lunch time to prepare for news on AP, regardless on the result at Bristol. It seems that AP and NC could not agree on the way forward. Word is, Shearer. I have no idea if true.

Dated 12th MAY

I'm disappointed with this decision but not surprised. A 'contact' at the club told me only last home game that AP was on borrowed time. To be honest, I really did not believe him as I felt that AP would be given until Xmas. It seems, from what I have been told, that AP and NC did not agree on the way forward. I hope NC knows what he is doing.

I have no problem with Craig posting gossip but care needs to be taken that the source is unable to be identified! If you read his post more closely, you don't need to be a Mastermind winner to work out how he is referring to.

I'm sure, with all your inside contacts, you know that this forum is read by members of staff at SFC. I just hope that by you passing on tittle tattle from HER, does not cost HER loss of employment. If I have a good idea who SHE is, you can bet others (at SFC) do! What was that saying, 'Loose tongues cost lives' (in HER case, her JOB) Why not just say, 'My contact at the club'.

Quality post but I hate to correct it, you forgot to use a comma after the word game.

I go along with the above, 100%.

With agent/s + translators+ best friend+parents! Oh, those were the 'happy' days under Rupert.
-
I'm pleased with this signing but just hope that he is better than the previous South Americans we signed. Think I will wait until I see him play before I wet myself with excitement.

So, you don't like it when someone uses the phrase 'neanderthal' and yet you use that disgusting (it is to me) dreadful word 'spastic' when refering to people! Shame, I normally find your posts worthy of reading. Poor choice of word, Stu.

Bobby, very good summary of a very poor performance. It reminded me of that Fairy Story, Brothers Grimm. It really was poor. I wonder, are we the 'New' Wimbledon? Keeper punts up to Lambert, CH heads back to keeper, keeper punts up to Lam...............

Haven't we been here before, name rings a bell. I just knew we would sign De Pedro/Do Prado at some time in my life time.
