Hi David, I lost all my email addresses and lots of other bits and bobs when my hard drive went to the far east (as scrap) after it crashed. (OK OK, I know I should have backed up!) I can no longer use my old email address as I'm no longer with that ISP. Not sure how to get my new one to you. Norm

Bulls eye! Sadly, far too sensible for the vast majority on a crusade.

Erm, how can you boycott something you never buy? I'm happy to buy and read our only local newspaper. It's not perfect but then neither is SFC. This is a childish dispute between DE and SFC, which needs sorting out.

Tease! I've been in a darkened room for a week, please enlighten me.

:smt038 Exactly my thoughts. I was hopeful of a point prior to KO and more than happy with the result. Of course 3 points would have been better but we were playing a team that was good at home.

As Delboy would have said, "Rodney, you are a Plonker!" I wonder if he will be receiving visitors at St Marys Hospital (Portsmouth) or will they transfer (after he comes out of intensive care) to Soton General?

Just got home, frozen!!!!!!!!! Ok, which team plays in the Conference? That was DIRE.

Or £10 if you are a Senior:D

Thanks Patrik! Hope we get a win in front of a near sell out. Hope you and family enjoyed yesterday? 3ft of snow outside?

Try Wetherspoons, 2 in town. Red Lion bottom of town.

David, nice gesture re dropping 'phone booking fee. I got two tickets for young H' (10) and I but they are six seats apart! I hope some kind person will change seat to allow us to sit next to each other. I knew I should have gone down to SMS earlier in the week:rolleyes:

Not sure I get your point. I don't have a problem with us losing a game. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with the OP's post? He wrote that we were the BEST team in this division. I disagreed before last night and I disagree now. And you?
-
Yep, have to agree with you lordswoodsaints. Our defence was all at sea today and they were better in nearly every tackle and header. Our middle two had a real poor day at the office. Someone wrote that the BH keeper had a great game, I don't think he had a serious save to make all match.
-
Still think that? Brighton could have had 5 today. Our defence was like my gardening jumper, full of holes.

Tightwad! At least I had the decency to throw a full penny;)

Can I have 4 as my No. 1? TP Big Ron Mick MLT Terry was always my favourite but pushed very close by Ron. Big Ron was just wonderful to watch and I often marveled at how he would jump for a cross from Terry or Syde and just seem to hang in the air for ages. In my 53 years of watching saints, he was the greatest CF I saw at the Dell and SMS.
-
Oh dear! As I started watching in Aug' 1956, that must make me.............. I always get nostalgic when I see the likes of Paine, Big Ron, Syde etc mentioned. But amongst the players I loved to watch were, George O'Brien/ Jimmy Melia/ Derek Reeves and Jimmy Gabriel. An earlier poster mentioned Tommy Traynor, without doubt he was one of the 'hardest' players I ever saw playing for Saints. Big Ron, 'The' most wonderful CF in the land at that time. Worth paying just to see him. In those days, my GF and I would travel all over the country to watch Saints. Oh happy days:)

Quote, 'It was always going to be between Le Tiss and Mick, but as much as Le Tiss was the epitome of Saints in the 1990s, so Channon was the backbone of the club in the 1970s. It's a generational thing. Those aged in their 30s would vote Le Tiss: those in their 50s for Channon'. And I would write, those in their 60s might have said No 1 was Terry.

Boy oh boy, did I enjoy that game! Without doubt, the best game of football I've seen at SMS for yonks! We were worthy of a win, against a team 3rd in the Div. We frightened the life out of MK Dons and A LL was my MOTM. I enjoyed seeing D C coming on, he is a superb signing. Well done Saints and well done the fans.

Wes, you are out of order with this post:( Agree or disagree with him, he has a point and he has a right to make it. What he does in his own home is no concern of yours or mine. Lets keep the thread to football.

I was sat 5 rows from the pitch in the Kingsland and directly in line with the defender. I think you summed it up for me and most fair minded supporters with your comment, which I have highlighted.
