  5. And yet another £5k of taxpayers money wasted A police officer who cut her thumb while dismantling a cannabis factory is to keep almost £5,000 in damages, following a Court of Appeal ruling. Kerry Ann Taylor was hurt when she put her hand through a window at a house in Southsea while disposing of class B cannabis plants and equipment, in 2008. The officer sued Hampshire Constabulary and was awarded the damages by a judge at Winchester County Court. Now an appeal by the force has been dismissed at the Court of Appeal. PC Taylor was injured when she tried to open the window after feeling nauseous while clearing the property, not noticing it had been sealed. The officer, who was wearing latex gloves to protect against skin irritation, pushed at the glass, which broke, and her right hand went through it. Hampshire police had appealed against the previous finding that the force breached its duty under the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 in failing to provide PC Taylor with thick gloves. But two judges dismissed the appeal against the finding on liability. Lord Justice Elias said there was an obligation to provide thick gloves at the time to protect against the risk of injury as the operation could involve her carrying out a whole range of tasks, not just removing the plants. W are employing far to mamby pamby coppers, What about their responsibility
  6. Boat party , Read the small print , you have to bring your own oars and water wings. Hence the reason it is so cheap
  7. why do all the news out let have to spout on about his daughter being Liza Tarbuck . This has nothing to do with her Bloody evil and useless journos. They dont need to harp on about her
  8. Can someone twitter Neil Allen and ask him him the the skates will still be using donkeys in their meat pies.
  9. She has a point though to be fair. Society is to blame as well as magazines pop stars , liberals etc etcfor promoting sex in underage youngsters. Whether hetrosexual or homesexual. That is the society we now live in . Wall to wall sexual freedom and inuendos. Just look at the magazines teenagers read. Should they not be held accountable for promoting sex. I have not forgotten the BBC for the massive aids campign in the mid 80's targeting children who had just come home from school to watch television. My 5 year old daughter was about to watch blue peter and then their agressive tombstone campaign started just before blue peter started , My daughter was petrified and didnt want to die of aids. She had no clue what sex was let alone aids. My wife and I had to calm her down . she never watched blue peter etc again , I did complain to the BBC but their view was that it was important to target young children. (Now i understand why , Saville and his cronies were about) So lets not be suprised in what hewson said in todays society.
  10. No you can become a member . There are restrictions when you can go in though most days you cannot go in till lunch time
  11. I wonder why some folk support saints apart from having a go at some o our players . Injuries happen . For those folk knocking guly who else would you put in ? Support the team FFS
  12. interesting debate going on. Are there not different levels of abuse?. The most abhorrent is young boys and girls under 12 or what ever. Clearly those who are predators on young kids need to be strung up. What about the young 16 year old who ****s hs 15 year old girlfriend, The police put them on the sex register and they are labeled Peados. What about those children who were abused by parents and so traumatised they dont know any difference. Bit like children who get smacked when they are young for soiling themselves, and then when the parent suffers dementia and soils themselves they get beaten by the child. Asthey repilcate they behaviour they experiences. All I know is the likes of glitter, hall and saville should have been executed. They are real evil people.
  13. According to one news source Stuart Hall , he admitted it when he was arrested. I do agree with the likes of Bill Roache , clifford ext they should have the right to annonymity until they are found guilty. Lets look closer to home. Look at the allegations made against Dave Jones. He was cleared and several of his accusers admitted the claims were fabricated in an attempt to get compensation. What was so disgusting about this case the press were informed by the police before he was arrested and informed of the charges. I see the sun are now reporting he has been a naughty boy with a netball player
  14. how ever serious the allegations , the police will be clocking up oodles of overtime with these claims and sue their own forces for tripping over steps and being bitten by fleas. I am very uncormfortable the way the police now trawl for evidence through the media. Especially in the climate of compensation claims. I think it has an impact on those that have genuinely been victims of crime.
  15. A sad day for our soldiers with three lads killed in afghan and now the following. what is it with our judges, they will not throw out qatada but order a retrial for Danny. An SAS sniper who was charged with illegally possessing a pistol and ammunition is to face a retrial. Sgt Danny Nightingale, from Crewe, had denied illegally possessing a 9mm Glock pistol and ammunition at his court martial in November. His military detention sentence was overturned at the Court of Appeal in March. A judge ordered the retrial at a hearing at the Military Court Centre in Bulford, Wiltshire. Judge Advocate Jeff Blackett said there was no abuse of process relating to the content of emails apparently leaked by a Ministry of Defence source, which were referred to for the first time at the hearing.
  16. I've just stuck a tenner on saints to get relegated What a numpty . You should have been bold and put £100 on that way we will all have a bloody good laugh at you losing it
  17. Exactly whitey . Some police have no dedication to duty . Only in it for what they can get .
  18. You cannot blame George but I see your point . But these greedy coppers need to realise why they join the police force . It's not to sue te police force because they have been bitten by a flea . Maybe he got it from a cat . What a ******
  19. That's terrible news. One of our unsung heroes . I will wear my ZdZ final t shirt as a mark of respect
  20. I realise now why the police are bogged down in paper work. its not filling in crime sheets but filling out insurance claims A copper gets compensation of £8k for being bitten by fleas while at work. The extraordinary injury claim was made after colleagues complained that their police station in Birmingham had become infested with the insects. The policeman who lodged the flea bites claim follows a £1,000 payout by the same force in 2011 over ‘insect bites’. In other claims, a worker received £14,000 after falling from a pushbike. Another claimed £600 after being exposed to a loud noise. It was one of a number of workplace injury claims paid by West Midlands Police which, over the past three years, has spent £900,000 settling cases made by more than 50 policemen. In total, just under 2,000 officers received payouts worth £19.8million last year and 6,600 officers shared £47.3million in the previous three years, Police Federation figures show. A freedom of information request revealed West Midlands Police has been sued by 51 serving officers and 16 civilian staff in the past three years.
