  1. we need to sort out our corners. We have lost so many chances from a complete inability to do corners. I'd love to see the stats. Probably something like we score from one in every 30 corners or something crap. It ain'd good enough. Been crap at corners now for a couple of seasons.
  2. as I understood it we had to become a plc in order to get the dosh/loan to build the stadium.
  3. I'm the first to acknowledge that SMS is a bloody nice stadium but with hindsight we should not have moved out of the Dell. Club finances would be in much better shape. No debt. Fortress Dell - teams used to hate coming to play us at the Dell. I am pining for the Dell. Bring back the Dell. Bring back the 80s. the fag-end of the 00s is crap.
  4. Its one thing if you are a ronaldo or gerrard. Then it becomes pop-star or holywood-star wages because millions around the world are watching you with your 'AIG' or 'Carlsberg' shirt and gazzillions of pounds of TV money. After all Brad Pitt and Will Smith can both get $20M per movie and they can easily make 2 movies per year. But for players in the fizzy-pop league of English footie with crowds of only 15-20K there is no TV money, no world-wide interest and no feasible credible reason why they should be getting any more than a couple of thousand tops. Some things really make my head sore. How can kicking a football around for a few hours be worth so much more than a doctor or a teacher? Bloody crazy. And completely unsustainable now that the country's economy has gone tits up. Slash the wages, slash the ticket prices and get good old fashioned working-man's football back again.
  5. genius. pure genius. good contribution.
  6. How did this info end up in the hands of the Echo? Some one at the club is either a mole or a just wanted to leak. Lowe? (so long as there aren't any real moles at St Mary's. Make a right mess of the pitch) But seriously, If I was paid £10,000 per week, after giving £4,000 to the ****-robbing government I would still have £6,000! Every Fooooking week!!!! For kicking a friggin ball around. And not doing a very good job of kicking it either. Absolute lunacy. Utter madness. The world has gone fruit-loopy. Mental. £6,000 after tax EVERY SEVEN DAYS!?!?!?!? Make me want to puke. Christ, it takes me MONTHS to earn that. How would you spend it? Erm... £200 on rent. £25 on council tax, £30 on bills. £20 on mobile, £2 on TV licence, £30 on food, £100 on clothes, £20 car insurance, £100 on car hire purchase, £100 on booze and you would STILL HAVE £5,373 left to p!ss up against the wall. And then you still get it no matter how crap you are. Un ber f u c k ing lieavable. And we pay them. Get some sanity back into the game, for Christ's sake.
  7. !!!!!!! :)
  8. Personally I think these pictures are an insult to our Great Leader. Very disrespectful.
  9. We're doomed. Christ, 23 points from 78. That is truly turd.
  10. We had 54 points last season, and just stayed up. So far this season we have managed an impressive 23 points (tongue firmly in cheek). There are still 60 points to play for. I reckon we need to be aiming to get a total of 60 points to be safe - based on last season's table, so we need an additional 37 points. this means we need to win shed loads of games between now and the end of the season, only draw a few and stop losing games. Anyone else got that horrible sinking feeling.. It is do-able but it is one heck of an ask given recent performances. How many points are we realisticly going to pick up out of the last 60 available? 30? Is that possible? I feel ill.
  11. Firstly, although it doesn't look good, relegation is not a certainty. We are only just over half way through the season. But I'll admit, the omens are not good. I totally agree that if we go down then administration is all but certain. We'll lose another 5K of attendance and get even less sponsorship and TV money. Any player with even a modest price tag will be sold. However, if it means we can finally shake off the odious status of being owned by a corrupt PLC, whose allegiance is to the shareholders and not the club then I would be over the moon. Someone said above that sports clubs should not be owned by PLCs and he is spot on. I am not a customer of SFC I am a loyal member of a club. I'm sh!te at playing football so I don't get involved on the pitch, but I do my bit. Clubs - football or other - are primarily about community; human solidarity if you will where the membership are self-supporting. Sporting clubs are also about celebrating achievement and pushing the boundary of physical action. This is the complete antithesis of what a PLC is. The single, core value of a PLC is to make profit. While clubs have to be run with sound financial competency (which has been sorely lacking at SFC in recent times) and with good stewardship the primary concern of a club is not to make money. So if the fact that we end up in administration and FINALLY see the backs of the money grubbing parasites who are currently choking the life out of SFC then I will be most happy.
  12. you might be on to something. The thing is, in 2013 when we are in the Conference South do you think Lowe will drop the price to a tenner? Doubt it. We're going to be the most expensive club in the conference.
  13. £7.77 per hole. That is a lot. But then golf is a game for dim-wits. As some one once said: why spoil a perfectly decent walk!
  14. all the more reason why the price might be higher
  15. and i bet they don't pay fantasy wages to their squad either. Seems like this Delia lady has her head screwed on the right way. God, what would we give for a decent owner.
  16. As God is my witness I paid £30 to sit on temporary stands surrounding a disused athelitcs track to watch Albion. I was monumentally gobsmacked. And there was no beer in the ground. ****ing outrageous.
  17. On the OS it has just been announced that an adult ticket at Carrow Road for the upcoming fixture will cost us £13.70 but a ticket at Watford will cost £22.50. Our home tixs set you back £24. And a Brighton & Hove Albion home ticket costs an astonishing £30. £13.70 for Norwich is a bargain. Just goes to show that Delia ain't greedy. I always thought that the FA imposed a lower limt on ticket prices or is this only for cup games which can't be cheaper than £15? Either way it is very illuminating to see the massive variation between clubs. A mate dragged me to an Albion game the other day and I was utterly gobsmacked that I had to pay £30 to watch third division football. Complete rip off. How much does a ticket cost at Old Trafford?
  18. Agreed. McGoldrick has got to be the laziest ****er ever to wear the Red and White. It's not as if he ain't talented. He just can't be arsed half the time.
  19. He's Dutch! You make him sound Pakistani !!!
  20. What is going on at the ECB? Sounds like a right balls up.
  21. Thank God Saga is back in the squad. Now we might just start finding the back of the net at home games! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11187
  22. How about "St Mary's Stadium..."
  23. Super Kel deserves it. He hasn't exactly been idle this season has he! I reckon he has been in action more often than our strikers. (sorry, strikers is not the right word. To be a striker one has to occasionally strike the ball...
  24. If I won £200 Million some how I would buy Pompey and then run it into the ground. I would hire the most incompetent manager available, hire the most useless squad and pay them not to score. And when Pompey were down in the Conference South i would lock the gates at Fratton and sell it to a property company for houses. Or just burn it down. And to achieve all this I would hire Rupert Lowe as my chief advisor He has experience in this sort of thing.
