Surely this is Lowe just trying to stop us singing anti-him songs. ***t. I will be singing even louder than usual. And if they don't let me in with my ST then, in the words of Queen Vic, I will not be amused.... to say the ******* least. LOWE OUT

that was kinda my point in my 26-choice anti-lowe, pro-whippet post above! What is the theme? A protest has to have an aim.... if it is just to say we are all p!ssed off then it will be a waste of time. -
Having just heard Leon's interview on radio Solent (click here) I would like to revise my opinion of the man somewhat. I have always lumped him in with the other two 'suits' as just plain wrong for the club. Having listened to the interview it is obvious that he is totally committed to the club and a true fan. Unlike RL. So, whilst I still have my doubts as to whether Leon is the best man to lead the club I do apologize if some of my criticism has come over as being too harsh. I guess I am just fed up with the constant, seemingly unresolvable crap in the boardroom. Anyway, well done Leon for at least putting the £2m on the table. Shame on the others for not being more constructive. but then that is Lowe in a nut shell isn't it.

will we ever see the like of it again? ... the hair cuts i mean!

Has anyone actually worked out what this protest is for? Are we just going to wander around the back streets of Southampton looking p!ssed off or is there actually a theme. Is it: a) Lowe out. b) Lowe in. c) My whippet could run the club better than Lowe. d) Gordon Brown is a scottish t0sser who has facked up the economy e) Pompey are sh!te and make the welsh look good. f) bring back the cat 'o' nine tails for Lowe's back. g) My whippet hates Lowe. h) We hate Lowe. i) Lowe's a jerk. j) Lowe knows less about football than my whippet k) Lowe out. l) Lowe in... (jail) m) We are a bunch of p!ssed off Saints fans n) Boll0x why are we here again? o) Where's the pub p) Whippet stop eating my toast q) Seriously, whippet. Stop eating my toast or else. r) Right. That's it, you disobedient cur! You're not coming on the protest march with me. s) Lowe out. t) Forwaaaaard March! u) Anyone but Lowe. v) MLT for PM (can't be worse than McBrooon) w) Lowe out. x) Never, in the field of human football clubs, have so many league points been lost, by one chairman, to so many fans. y) we will fight him in the streets, we will fight him in the terraces, we will defend our football club what ever the cost! We will never surrender! z) Lowe out. or all of them? -
Mate, if you think that we outsiders know the truth of what goes on in that boardroom then you are mistaken. Crouch is not "the messiah" that this club needs. What is needed is a complete clean sheet. Ged rid of them all. They are like a bunch of politicians all grubbing around blaming each other. I wasn't impressed by Lowe's performance at the AGM but nor was i with Crouch either. They have all, between them, resided over the worst decade of SFC's history and frankly I won't be applauding any of them. End of.

How many do you expect to turn up for the protest saturday?

+1 if i can be r-sed to get out of bed early enough. got to come in from brighton. -
why do people love Crouch so much? He is just as culpable for the crap we are in at the moment. Get rid of the lot of them i say. And as for this talk of "being the other end of the table". Please, whatever. ******. plain and simple.

The article mentions the fact that any such deal would need a promise that Lowe and Wlide could not then just muscle back in again if they felt like it. This is not possible! No 'agreement' would be legally binding. The only way to stop them muscling back in is to buy their shares. Bloomin heck.

..perhaps we should ask the government to bail us out. ..oh, hang on, we aren't a bank or a car maker. duh...
-
i would love it if the club was an Industrial and Provident Society. One member, one vote. But i wouldn't be prepared to put any cash into the club as it is currently constituted - as a blood-sucking plc.
-
Totally agree mate... so which flight are you arriving on from LA? I very much enjoy your phone-in slot on the radio after the game. (Good to know that our FC is still home to many who now live overseas.) UP THE SAINTS.... (and Ben loves you too....!! (get a hair cut Ben!))

I will be attending the march on Saturday. It may be peanuts but at least it is something. It will also mean that I can get the inner-rage I feel every time I walk up to SMS after my pint at the Chapel Arms out in the open before the game. Might make the game more enjoyable. So, well done to who ever is arranging the march. I will also be joining in at the top of my voice any anti-lowe songs during the game. However, the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR OUR FOOTBALL CLUB is not to get rid off Lowe. That is of monumental importance, for sure. No the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING is that we start next season in the championship. I honestly think that if Lowe was to naff off tomorrow then there wouldn't be any difference this season. That is why I say that the only thing that matters at the moment, trumping all else, is to give the lads every ounce of support we can. No negativity towards the players or coaching staff. One more thing. If at any point during the march there is even the slightest hint that we are protesing against the lads and/or coaching staff then I will be off. I will be protesting against the suits, not the team. UP THE SAINTS!

Well now that he has resigned i feel I can say what I honestly thought of his tenure. JP was totally out of his depth. His style of football was totally ill-suited to the CCC. He was the manager of a tin-pot Dutch club at a time when Dutch footie has never been so weak. He was offered the chance to come and work in the second tier of English club football, possibly the strongest league in the world and at a club with easy access back to Holland via the airport. It was a no-brainer. He took the chance with out even thinking about it. A very honest and decent man, but naive in the extreme when it came to CCC football. I wish him well in the future but I am very grateful that he has finally gone. Did Rupert push him? Will Rupert admit that it was yet another crap Lowe decision? And most importantly will MW be any better? Up the Saints.

This is not funny. I do not want the Good Ship Southampton FC to sink. I really don't. Pictures of the Titanic get me depressed. Truly. Please don't make fun of our situation like this. I love my club. I don't like the analogy you are drawing... (but seriously as well.)

If MLT was 'asked to leave' and it got out that Lowe and the ****roaches at PLC headquarters were responsible what do you think would be the reaction amongst us fans? F\/cking anarchy, for sure. A disgraceful episode, but not surprising given the state of affairs at our football club.
-
Weston, your maths are no doubt correct but we all know the reason NP was let go: RUPERT LOWE DIDN'T APPOINT HIM SO HE CUT HIM GO!!! PURE DUCK HUNTING ARROGANCE. TIME WE ALL CUT LOWE OUT OF THE CLUB IF YOU ASK ME....
-
Thought he was ok. Nothing special but to be fair, it will take him some time to integrate. Certainly I didn't think he was useless. What was funny though - and I might be totally wrong on this - but I am sure that when the team was read out, on the screens he was pictured wearing his Everton shirt. It was certainly blue, and funnily enough the bloke who moves the pictures on very quickly realised the mistake and moved to the next picture!!!
-
To be honest, I doubt it very much. You have to understand the sort of man we are dealing with in Rupert Lowe. He is utterly incapable of acknowledging his mistakes. He won't sack JP in a million years. At least not with out making JP stand up and ask to leave. Lowe is a bottom-dwelling imbecile. If push came to shove I would much rather that JP was our manager than have RL within a hundred miles of SFC
-
.. both of which come from having a decent owner!!!! (and actually, I still thin we have real talent in our squad. Just they are not being well used.)
-
NP was, and still is, and excellent football manager - especially for the league we are in and that Leicester are in. Namely: here is a no-nonsense drill sergeant who will lick any youngster into shape and wipe the smile of their face. If players think they can take the **** with NP the they are surely mistaken. Why we let him go I have no idea. Him and Strachan, two peas in the same pod. I reckon NP will be a premier league boss before long and also our National boss too. A real footballer, who knows how to install discipline and get the most from players. What else do you need?
-
yeah. just what we need is another spin on the old PLC carousel. How about get rid of the ****ing lot of them and place our club as an Industrial and Provident Society. No more greedy shareholders wanting their pound of flesh. A football club owned by the community, run by the community and for the community. Which, surprise surprise, was what SMYMAFC was always intended to be about. It was never intended to be the play-thing of arrogant dandy-boys like Rupert Lowe, Crouch or Wilde. Get rid of them all..
-
That is true. The fan base at our club is excellent. 15,800 today. We could double that at the drop of a hat if we had a decent owner.
