Yippee!! Well done the referee. Hotel booked, am on my way. ETA Southampton, 3pm. ETA pub, 3.01pm UP THE SAINTS!!
  4. oops. sorry, didn't mean it to go on the main board. Always intended it to be a muppet piece.
  5. will gooner fans be reaching for the gillette gel and razor to shave their a,rses in celebration and to welcome their latest signing?
  6. pitch has under-ground heating doesn't it?
  7. Thanks. Good advice. I've got to say, even if the pitch is ok I wouldn't want to be one of the lads playing in sub-freezing temperatures. Cramp and all that.
  8. Morning, I just woke up to 4 inches of snow here in Brighton. The Beeb reckons it will last three days. What is the situation in Southampton? Was going to book hotel for tomorrow's game but it looks doubtful it will be played? ta
  9. That's awful. By all means whip the missus but leave the poor hound alone.
  10. Media coverage. Doubt that Lowe will be much bothered though. Still, from small acorns...
  11. There was I thinking you meant that the Gordon Brown had apologised for stuffing up the economy and generally being a useless twot.
  12. Brilliant escape. Saga great. 4-4-2.
  13. A lot more people turned up than I was expecting. Peaceful and purposeful. Well done everyone. And then we all went into the ground and gave the players 100% support. So Rupert, are you listening?
  14. Hope we can get many people on this march. I also hope that it is a civil affair with out any disturbing yoof trying to kick off... I'm on my way. "What do we want?... Our FC back from the greedy snouts in suits... When do we want it.... NOW"
  15. Superrrr Suuuuppperr Keellllllll, Supppppperrrrrrrr Supppeerrrrr Kellll.... Well done Kelvin! You deserve it...
  16. Some may think I am being sycophantic by posting this, but I am genuine. On the eve of our protest march (leveled squarely at the suits in the boardroom and not at the lads in Red and White - I do hope) does anyone else join me in saying a mighty big thank you to all those who work behind the scenes at our club, yet go unnoticed... Sure, football is the name of the game - and the players and coaching staff are naturally in the limelight. But, there are many others on the pay-roll of our club, and I propose a toast to them all! I am very strongly opposed to our FC being run as a PLC. I guess I am now acknowledging that we can not on the one hand be against the PLC and yet be blind to the fact that SFC has many more employees than just the playing/coaching squad. So, I thought I would start this thread on the eve of what might be a fairly vocal weekend, so that we could show our appreciation to all those who make SFC happen behind the scenes: 1. the ticket office 2. the catering people - (colder pints please!) 3. the Orange Coats (yeah, you're ok really!......) 4. the people who sweep the terraces after we are all gone - now that is an omission that I have never thought about.. 5. ....Hampshire Constabulary (yes, them lot, but they do us all a service and keep us safe....kinda) 6. the groundsmen, at SMS and the training ground 7. the toilet cleaners who give us sparkling fresh urinals to pee in 8 ..... there are many more.... I am getting quite emotional actually. I love Southampton Football Club! I just got to thinking, there really are a lot of people who work for/with our football club and I just think we should give them a round of applause and not take it all for granted.. Thank you to all who work 'unnoticed behind the scenes'. LONG LIFE SOUTHAMPTON FOOTBALL CLUB!!! UP THE SAINTS!!
  17. I know they eat porridge on Merseyside but does it grace the Brazilian breakfast tables? What is it with footballers at the moment? Every week it seems that a different footballer is nicked.
  18. !! and tell A&E staff to be ready.. (only because i will need my stomach pumped again, not because any harm would come to Rupert)

  20. yeah, whatever. twit.
  21. I tell you what. If Lowe bought a ticket in the Northam and stood there next to us all for the game it would be a spectacle. come on Rupert, come back from holiday! I'll buy you a beer. No really, I will.
  22. kinda of where i come from too. Still, nice to him being constructive and positive.
