Great. So when Gordon "I've saved the world" Brown tells the Bank of England to turn on the printing presses as a last resort to the depression we can look forward to Argentinian levels of inflation and a forum fee of £12,495,882.38p per day. Can't wait. -
Come on you SAINTS!!!!! The fight back starts today!! Get stuck in from the start. I want three goals before half time. And I want them all in Bristol's net. RED N WHITE!!! RED N WHITE !!!

what does 'HTH' mean?

well for one thing, we certainly need a long hard look at how many people live on this Island called Britain. Especially here in the south. We also need to stop this ludicrous GDP-growth-chasing nonsense at all costs and start living with sustainability in mind. Simple fact is that economies can't grow indefinately. We don't need all the consumerist crap we are forced to buy in the name of GDP growth. On that score, the Africans (at least my friends in Tanzania) are ahead of us. They are not your stereo-typed starving Africans but neither would you ever describe them as rich. They are however generally content and happy. The same can not be said about our country folk at the moment.

too true... thieving benifit scum
-
Well, some of us are. Comes with education. The problem is that most of the teenage pregnancies happen between poorly educated people. Just because we have an advanced society with "credit derivatives" (sic) doesn't mean we are light years ahead of the Africans. In fact in many respects they are ahead of us as African societies still put a lot of faith in the concept of the extended family where the whole village raises the kids. There would be no outcry if a village elder clipped a young lad round the ear for a misdemeanor like there would be here. Perhaps we should learn from them rather than constantly think that just because we are westerners we are naturally superior.

HA HA HA HA AH AHA AHA HA !!!!!! I can still remember my first wet-dream. What I never worked out was why, when the sticky bit happened, I was dreaming of the ugliest brute of a girl in our school. I was genuinely disturbed. There were plenty of stunning young lassies and yet my idiotic mind was too timid to believe that I could ever be with one of these Sirens so it settled for the practice chick instead.

I also have long hair.

..and as for religion, I am a kinda wishy-washy Anglican pagan. The big JC had some good things to say but I would never try and indoctrinate any other person with it if they don't want to know. The pagan bit is because it is truly spiritual and I feel a big pull to the pre-christian, pagan way of doing things.
-
F\/ck me that is even funnier!!! I'm a good old fashioned Anglo-Saxon liberal. About as far from the Christian Fundamentalist / Jewish stereotype as you can get. LOL!!!
-
Me? An anti-abortionist Christian fundamentalist? LOL!! Now that makes me laugh!

I was never allowed to play football. I was too much of a spazz. None of the other lads wanted me on their team. I did play a bit of cricket. But I was very short sighted and the teacher in charge made me remove my glasses when in bat for 'health n safety' reasons. Never mind that I could not then see the frickin ball and subsequently ended up bruised all over as the neanderthal ape-thing bowling at me pegged it down at me at super-sonic speeds..
-
what, it is unacceptable for a 13 year old to get a stiffy? What we need therefore is a new government agency - Of-Stif - the 'Office for the prevention of stiffies on teenage lads'. Prudish clip-board wheeling Gestapo officers licensed to barge into private homes and check there are no un-licensed erections or malicious menstrual cycles in progress. Excellent idea. Sod human nature.
-
Ha Ha Ha!! Never did me any harm being called a 'spazz'. :D:D
-
certainly this sort of thing should not be encouraged but my point is that we shouldn't damn them either. Good luck to them I say. They are certainly going to need it.
-
oi. don't be an ar-s. My point is very valid. The whole way we define and deal with teenagers in this country is so old fashioned. In Africa and other parts of the world it is routine for people of this age to be parents. You don't become an adult when you turn 18. Christ, in most parts of the world by that age you are one-third the way through your life. Perhaps if we stop treating young adults as kids and show them some respect they might rise to the challenge and grow up.
-
however weird this is - and it is - I do wish people would stop referring to these two new parents as 'children'. Evidently if the young lad can sustain an erection and the young lass's ovaries send an egg down her fallopian tubes every month then they are not children but young adults. Naive, probably frightened and definitely in need of support, but evidently NOT children.

So let me get this straight. The government lets all sorts of rabid hate-filled fascist gay-stoning, women-suppressing, intolerant evil Mohammedans in to the country but not the democratically elected representative of a fellow EU country who was invited here - where he was only two weeks ago - by two members of the House of Lords to host a private screening of a film which is widely available on the internet, and which I have now seen. We mustn't offend the Mohammedans must we? Never mind that some of their number consistently insult non-adherents to their 'religion of peace'. Never mind that Britain has always been a place of free speech. This country has gone crazy. What's the bet that Jacqui Smith - the most useless and corrupt waster ever to disgrace the home office - banned him just to take the heat of her expense claim. Grubby little pig with her fascist nose in the trough. Oink Oink Oink I had better get as much in my snout as I can before the game is up and I am kicked out of office. This country is a f\/cking disgrace.

What should we expect from a manager? well, a reall desire to win. A tough colour-sergeant no-nonsense approach. knowledge of the CCC and what makes it different to other leagues. Now let me see... qualities that Nigel Pearson had a-plenty. LOWE OUT.
-
Exactly. And even the Arabs have less spare cash now that a barrel of oil is a quarter the price it was in the summer. Seriously, this country is screwed. We are heading for a depression which will make the 1930s look like a pic-nic. And people still think that there is a saviour for our FC out there? The only feasible way is if 50,000 fans each put in £50 and we buy the club. EDIT: sorry I meant £500 quid...

Survival Plan - A real vision to save Saints..?

oops.. sorry, I misread.... -
Redundancies are never nice. I also imagine we have many Ford workers at SFC. They used to make the best van in the world and are now "surplus to requirements" as their jobs are going over seas. Globilization is always touted by the rich and powerful as a means to make us all better off. Utter rubbish. The only people who benifit are the rich who get even richer off the backs of cheap foreign labour while skilled British workers (of all colours and religions) end up having to apply to be 'welcomers' at Asda. The government doesn't give too drops of p!ss about us. They have milked the system for so long that their bank accounts and pension pots are overflowing. Jacqui Smith gets £24,000 a year to live with her sister for f\/cks sake. Meanwhile hard working people up and down the country, people who just want to earn a decent, stable wage to feed their families are slung on to the "Globalization skip" and left to rot. Obama has got it right. He has instructed all departments in the US government to only buy American steel and other stuff. When is our craven government going to do likewise? Sorry, I know this is supposed to be a football thread but I get so wound up when I see the state our country is in. Over the past decade the rich have got super-fabously wealthy thanks to globalization but the average man on the football terrace has seen his real wage FALL. If any smarmy politician says that having "free trade" is a good thing I swear to God I will punch his f@cking lights out. Good for the rich. NOT GOOD FOR THE WORKERS OF THIS COUNTRY. Now back to the footy: LOWE OUT
