Tickets for Birmingham? Is it too late? On the gate??
1976_Child replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
..well having walked all around Birmingham looking for a hotel room I have finally found one! Bloody Crufts is on. Got to be honest, these Brum folk are a pleasant crowd. Very helpful and welcoming. Hope they are too at the ground... Up the Saints! -
'Ello. Just won a sweet £1,000 at the casino. Don't normally go. Not my thing really, but seeing as I now have 50 x £20 notes in my back pocket I am thinking that I will tuck £500 away for my pension and squirt the rest up the wall - so to speak! So, I am off to Birmingham to try and get a ticket! I am hopeful that there will be some left... What are the chances of getting an away ticket on th gates? Anyone? see ya there.... UP THE SAINTS!!!!

Cardiff fan dead/on life support machine...
1976_Child replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
God I hope this isn't true. I had a good chat with a Cardiff fan on the bus on the way back. Why do some have to be violent idiots? If this is true and the lad dies then the scum who did it need to be locked up for life. Any Cardiff fans reading this thread, if some of our lot have done this PLEASE don't think we are all like this. They are not fans. They are scum and should have nothing to do with football. -
I am over the lunar object! Superb battling spirit! Absolutely outstanding. Still work to be done on the finish in front of the goal and set pieces are still poor but otherwise what a result. Kel man of the match this time, but well done to them all. And Mark Wotte deserves praise as well. I am warming to him. Especially the way he went on the pitch after full time and had a full team huddle. Great team work ethic. Come on lads. Let's pull this off and stay in this league. 33 points still to play for...

Perhaps Pompey should ask Fred Goodwin to invest. He has a lot of time on his hands now and is also stealing £693,000 per year from the taxpayer. He did such a good job at RBS, I'm sure pompey would be in the conference in no time!

What is the difference? He was in charge. The bank is bankrupt. The shares are worthless. He is STILL stinking rich and getting richer. It is all 'Reward' for these people. But for ordinary mortals like you and me we are left with the 'Risk'. He is a FRAUDSTER and if he want's to sue me fine. I am broke.

And do you not even have any idea of the scale of liability the tax payer has just taken on in this insurance scheme? The government spend about £650 Billion each year in total. On everything from the NHS, defence, police, education. Everything. We are now commited to insuring HALF that amount on just one bank, and the fraudster who crashed the bank is getting £650,000 PER YEAR. Do you not get it??? This is the worst most crass piece of capitalist crap.

Don't be an ass. There would be no pension pot, no business and no bank if WE hadn't bailed it out. You call it 'lefty rubbish'. I call in justice and common sense. Why should one man roll around in clover for the rest of his life while I have to work harder and harder to pay for his mistakes. And rioting is the ONLY way we can protest. This is so obscene that normal rules must be suspended. This country is finished.

We, the British tax payer have just 'insured' toxic assets from the Royal Bank of Scotland in the amount of £325,000,000,000 - yes, that is right. £325 BILLION. We have also just given the train-wreck of a 'bank' an additional £13,000,000,000 (BILLION) to support its balance sheet. This is on top of the £20,000,000,000 (BILLION) we have already handed over. The governemnt has also said that there is an additional £6,000,000,000 if they need it. Population of the UK: 60,000,000 (MILLION) Just the amount of cash we have given to the 'bank' is £650 for ever man, woman and child. If only one tenth of the toxic assets goes bad then that is another £650 each. And 'Sir' Fred Goodwin is, right now, drawing £650,000 PER YEAR FOR LIFE from a £16,000,000 pension pot. It was on his watch that the 'bank' ****ed up. When and where is the riot? I will TAKE TO THE STREETS AND RIOT. The pathetic government says that this pension is ok because it is 'bound by contract' to pay it. Bull ****. If they think that is a contract wait until my fist comes into contact with their face. I am serious. Getting Lowe out of our club is chicken feed compared to this. We THE PEOPLE MUST RIOT NOW. There is nothing else left to do.

it is on the 'post match' thread which is a sticky above. Me too, regarding Jason. Excellent all game.

I didn't watch Southampton today. Not sure who they were, but it wasn't the same team as the rest of the season. Superb. Very good football from start to finish. Excellent stuff. My man of the match is Jason Mule. Saga also excellent, but the Mule was pure quality today. Thank God he is still in the squad. Well done lads! An excellent game. Now keep it up...
-
agreed. Well done Mr Wotte. You seem to be shaking things up a bit. but one game does not a season make (so the saying goes..)
-
We are going to stuff them by only losing 0-2.

Global warming is a load of old horse dung. A myth. Or is it.... The thing is, no one really knows. But what we can say with absolute certainty is that if only a tenth of what the doom-merchants say will happen, actually does happen then we are stuffed. So perhaps it is worth mitigating our behaviour and co2 levels just as an insurance policy in case it is true. That's how i see it anyway. Personally, I think it is over hyped but it won't halm us to prepare for it anyway so let's all just shut up and sort our co2 levels out before it is potentialy too late. If it is a load of nonsense then there is no harm done - and the bonus that we have cleaned the world up somewhat and reduced our dependecy on unstable dictators with all the oil and gas. If on the otherhand the lunatic-left-green-weirdo-coalition-of-nutters actually are correct (and I strongly doubt they are) then we have averted a major catastrophe. It is called insurance.

To be honest I am not sure I can be arsed to go to the game tomorrow. I might just sit at home and save my money. Even though I have an ST I still end up spending about £30 minimum on a match day. I'm just getting to the stage where it is not fun any more, just a bloody long commute to and from Brighton to watch **** football, no goals and the outcome is almost certainly losing the game. Perhaps I'll put the £30 towards my pension instead. I just can't be bothered. I really can't. Still, when push comes to shove and the alarm clock goes off tomorrow morning I am sure I will put my red and white stripey shirt on and get on a train. I'm on autopilot on match days. I wouldn't know what else to do. Get off the train, trudge mournfully up to the Chapel Arms. Have a cold one. Chat mournfully to the others. Trudge up to the supporters bar. Spend thirty seconds chatting to the doormen about how **** it all is. Have a cold one. Talk to Ben in somber tones as he tries to get me interested in his quiz. Go into the stadium. Have a cold one. Talk mournfully to some familiar faces. Trudge up to my seat. Mournfully wait for the funeral to start. Watch us go behind just on half time. Trudge down to the bar. Have a cold one. Talk mournfully to the wall. Shuffle my way back to my seat. See us concede within the first 19 nanoseconds of the second half. Leave the stadium in a somber mood. Trudge back to the station. Sit on the train. Get home. Go to bed feeling really glad to be alive....

I have just looked at the league table for the first time in ages. We all know the facts but when you see it in black and white it really brings it home. We have played 32 games this season. We have only won 6 of them. And only one of those at home. Our goal difference is -21. six wins from 32. That is your record Rupert. That is how much your 'total football' Dutch set up has been worth. Christ, if nothing else speaks volumes about Lowe's incompetence it is this fact. We have won 6 out of 32 games, and only won one at home all season. Rupert, you are a loser.

What a pompous, arrogant, t0ss-pot of a post. There-there little boy, you know nothing and are not grown up enough to be of any importance and so shouldn't be involved in politics. Pompous r-s. Perhaps it is you who needs to grow up.
