  1. sure, and Leicester are paying him.....
  2. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11238 This is a timid, and dispirited response to the game. JP is obviously utterly fed up. Two quotes stand out: "I can understand the anger of the fans and it is normal," he said. "You only have support when you win games. Bull sh!t. I come and support my club through thick and thin. SFC has always had good support, regardless of whether we are winning or not. "it is a big, big defeat and it has hit us hard. The boys did what they had to, but the only thing they didn't do and haven't done in the past make goals." Well done for recognizing this!!! Gold star to you! The whole frickin point of a football match is to "make goals". Our lot aren't. Therefore the boys did NOT do what they had to do!!!!!! Am I being too simplistic? I mean, the aim of the football game is to 'make [score] goals' is it not????? Come on, FFS wake up Jan. Sort your 'boys' out. Get them to make a few goals...
  3. No truer thing has ever been said by anyone, anywhere. Being a PLC has ripped the heart and soul out of our club.
  4. Wenger, Benitez or that Furgusson chappie. If none of the above is available then Nigel Pearson will do for me.
  5. A ****ing good question. No one would want to work with this idiot of a chairman. Lowe is a parasitic ****roach. Why would anyone want to be 'his' manager. all the out of work managers out there are probably steering well clear of SFC - and for good reason. The judas ****** called Lowe.
  6. Lowe is a ***t and stabbed Pearson in the back because he didn't appoint him. Lowe is an imbecile. A ****ing idiot. No more words of contempt do I have. Lowe got rid of perhaps the best manager we have had since WGS all because he didn't appoint him. Lowe is scum. NP is a hero for keeping us in the CCC. The irony is that next season we will be in the third division while NP's Leceister will be in the CCC. Lowe is an idiot. Arrogant idiot.
  7. I care. I don't care which division we play in, and it will almost certainly be div 3 next season. I care about Southampton. I care about engaging local youngsters to take up a sport. I care about community. I care that the founders of our football club and what they must be thinking from their graves about the current greed-ridden PLC setup. I care that St Mary's Young Men's Association Football Club survives. And that all the values which were critical to our club's founding - community, solidarity, respect and team-spirit, triumph over corporate greed and personal arrogance. That is what I care about.
  8. Exactly. We are not customers. It is a football CLUB. We are either Members of that CLUB, or visiting guests. FFS there is too much 'business' in football. What happened to a football club being for the community, run well and financially safely for sure, but ultimately for the local community of SUPPORTERS AND MEMBERS. I will NEVER be one of greedy-arsed Lowe's "customers. If he can't understand the difference between a customer at Asda and SFC then he is even dummer than I thought.
  9. Ditto. (But not since the 70s). In many ways my ST is my badge of honour and loyalty to my football club. I totally understand why people want to call for a boycott of renewing STs. Anything to be shot of duck hunter and the rest of the feeble-arsed morons in the PLC. The thing is, and this might sound perverse, but having a ST and being a loyal fan means that I can feel justified in being ****ed off like today. Not saying that non-STs are any less ****ed off or any less qualified to voice their anger, but I view SFC as a Club first and foremost and I am a member of the Club. So, forgive me, you all know my views on the cancer which is the PLC, but I will still be renewing my ST for next season because I am a Member and Supporter of our Great Football Club. And I always shall be.
  10. LOWE OUT No one likes you. Why do you hang around waiting for the club to die? Why not live a peaceful life. ONCE AGAIN: RUPERT, NO ONE AT OUR FOOTBALL CLUB LIKES YOU! JUST **** OFF.
  11. The trouble in the Northam near the end of the game was not good. But what do you expect when we have such soul-less c u n ts running our club. Lowe is a t0ssers. Our fans our loyal and yet the parasite which is Lowe continues to rape our club.
  12. Were there any positives today? YES. At least the Northam end start to sing for Lowe to Go. And the bloke who ran on to the pitch after the game was a ****ing legend. Well done mate. Lowe is a c u n t. He and his ****sucking parasitic greed-ridden bastards in Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC are a ****ing disgrace. To hell with them all. I want our FC back. Not a ****ing PLC.
  13. Our club is ****ed from top to bottom. Rupert Lowe is a money grubbing arrogant little *****. He has no idea. His choice of manager is an honourable man, no doubt, but I'm afraid that he is not up to the task of leading the Saints. It really hurts me to have to say it, because I hate to talk down an incumbent manager, but we need a change. If Tosser Lowe has even an ounce of decency in his greed-ridden body then he will do the right thing and relieve Mr Poortvliet of his duties and replace him with a manager who knows the league. Of course to do so the ***t that is Rupert Lowe will have to acknowledge that he has made a mistake in appointing JP in the first place. And when did Lowe ever admit he was wrong?? It is not in his arrogant ways. If we had retained the services of a Mr Nigel Pearson we would not be in this mess. Even with the same squad, under NP's control we would be mid table at worst. Another ****ing arrogant self-indulgent decision by Lowe. He didn't appoint NP so he gets rid of him. LOWE IS A ****ING PARASITE ON THE FLESH OF THIS CLUB.
  14. Just got back to Brighton. What a load of rubbish. We were all over them in the first half. God knows how many chances we had. Saga - excellent, well played and welcome back. Other than that utter crap. The corners were poor and that free kick in the second half down the Chapel end was ****ing atrocious. What do this boys do during training? Surely, SURELY SURELY IT IS THE JOB OF A MANAGER / HEAD COACH TO GET THE BOYS TO ****ING WELL PRACTICE SET PIECES??????????? They looked like f\/cking amateurs out there during the second half. The second goal which Doncaster scored, the bloke just ****ing walked through about five of our lot's legs. I applauded. Good goal. Showed how crap we are. The Northam started singing for Jan to go. I turned around to the lads behind me and told them to shut the **** up as calling for the manager to be sacked during a game is never helpful. I have always supported the incumbent manager. But even I have to admit that today his team looked utterly out of their depth. The the good thing to come out of today's game is that at last we in the Northam have started to shout for Lowe to Go. RUPERT LOWE AND HIS ****ING PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY HAVE RUINED OUR FOOTBALL CLUB. GO LOWE. AND TAKE ALL THE ****ROACHES IN THE BOARDROOM WITH YOU. JUST **** OFF YOU WORTHLESS SACK OF ****.
  15. Exactly. Sums it neatly up. And on that note I think I will turn in for the night as I need a good night's kip what with all the excitement of watching us lose tomorrow and all that
  16. Because: a) it is immoral b) it effects the whole of the game, and as a football fan I don't like the effect. c) the wages debase the worth of mere-mortals like doctors, nurses, soldiers and countless others who turn up to support their club paying through the nose for the privilege to buy someone a new ferrari every week. d) it is immoral. or did I mention that already?
  17. Where do you get the idea that I want the Man City owner to bail out Britain? And no, it is NOT a business to them. To them it is a play-thing, a giant big bit of bling. There is a good reason why real business men - like Branson - do not get involved in football. It is because it is NOT profitable. When a company pays £100m to buy another company it will only do so if the deal makes sense financially. This Kaka deal neither makes sense financially nor morally.
  18. ... a sort of human loss-leader?!
  19. how do you figure this? doesn't matter which club it is, it is the amount of cash being spent to buy one solitary man who will be employed to kick a leather ball around a pitch. And the massive disconnect between his wage and the wage of the average man city fan. it is amoral and just goes to show how warped our world is. These rich Arabs don't care about football in the same way that fans do. They are in it to use man city as a play-thing and ego massager. Certainly they are not in football to make a profit. That much I hope we can all agree on. Kaka will be nothing more than a loss financially.
  20. 1. My chicken, which is in the oven at the moment. 2. Tomorrow - there's just something about football... 3. Finishing this bloody project which is keeping me working until midnight 4. Seeing a goal at St Mary's 5. My bed. Ahhhhh! I just love my pillow..

  22. Exactly. Perversely the amount of cash sloshing around in football might be a catalyst to bring up attendances at lower- and non-league clubs as people begin to realise that it is a more 'pure' form of of the beautiful game.
  23. sorry, I don't mean finance which is costed and covered by positive cash flow, I mean the senseless frittering away of money, whether it is by shoppers (or "consumers" as they are now called) buying useless crap they don't need on unsecured credit cards or by governments spending future tax receipts which have yet to be paid or football club owners throwing their personal wealth down the plug hole to fund their fantasy play-things. There is absolutely NO way that Kaka's price tag will ever be recouped. Nor will his £10,000,000 wage bill or £75,000,000 signing on fee. It is just fiction. And unsustianable.
  24. yeah but we haven't had a recession in the last 15 years. Also, just because there hasn't been a crash, doesn't mean there will never be! It is the same ostrich mentality which got our economy all stuffed up. Debt is bad. Individuals, families, councils, companies, governments and football clubs can not go on borrowing for ever! There is always payback time. Everyone needs to start to live within their means. The debt-era is over.
  25. ... and look at Newcastle. Matey can't find a buyer for his club and he has dropped the price! He has put in something like £200m quid. It appears that the whole game is financially unviable in its current form. The crash is coming.
