    Shane Long

The video I originally wanted to post has been removed but plenty of articles on that game. Interestingly when they played together Liverpool got knocked out of the FA Cup at Anfield so maybe we can do a repeat on Sunday http://www.theguardian.com/global/2010/jan/13/liverpool-reading-minute-by-minute

    Shane Long

I meant Reading and deleted what I originally wrote when I edited the part about Long and Hodgson at West Brom. They are mates from both their time in Birmingham as the video shows.

    Shane Long

Good to see Long and Ryan Bertrand linked up well at Reading. Wondering if Bertrand informed Koeman Long wanted a move back down south. If he was good enough for Roy at West Brom he'll do fine at Saints.
  4. Last season JWP had gone 2 seasons without a break due to him being so keen to play. He skipped his vacation to join up with pre season despite playing for the England Under 21's most of the summer. Last season started well but as he grew more and more tired he came both physically and mentally exhausted. People have short memories
  5. OMG. There was a time when we'd sign players before Friday lunchtime to play them next day. Our match is on Sunday so why is it not fair to play him. Have you never heard how at baptism of fire often produces good results. What is all wrong is we could have had an additional friendly like Mn U and Chelsea on Monday or Tuesday. Surprised this Echo update isn't posted on this thread http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11404740.Florin_deal_close__but_Byram_interest_cools/?ref=twt Florin photographed last night
  6. If true we are deluded. Cork was a disaster last season when Pochettino made the experiment. Jack deserves more than being a cover for right back. GIVE HIM A F* CKING NEW 5 YEAR CONTRACT FFS
  7. When discussing and whinging over Long's 12 million fee, people forget we are paying for the fee he was bought 9 months ago plus the remainder of his 5 year contract. No different to how we humped up the price on Shaw, Lallana and Lovren.

    Billy Sharp

Billy's just tweeted " GOAL!!!!!" to Simon Gillett from East Midlands. He was in Southampton yesterday
  9. Tweeted by none other than Morgan Schneiderlin with the caption "So happy for my friend" 1st Tweet since the famous tweet 10 days ago
  10. Due to his condition maybe he did indeed leave Southampton on Sunday and is having medicals at Specialised clinics elsewhere. Had her returned to Romania their media would have known.
  11. Maybe we won't need a replacement for long [video=youtube;Arjg-NjAPcA]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Arjg-NjAPcA
  12. Have found the Hawksbee and Jacobs audio where a top agent gives it as it is on the Morgan Scheidenlin situation 1) Go to the audio reply of todays program http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1407844800 2) Click on the 15.00 - 15.30 section and then move the slider along to about 2O minutes 38'
  13. This afternoon Talksports Hawkbee and Jacobs had one of the top Football Agents with 20 years experience on their program. I'm hoping it will be available online so everyone can listen. He answered everything on the Schneiderlin situation. 1)The Club are perfectly within their rights to enforce a contracted player to stay. 2) He said no reputable agent would ever advise his client to act in the way Morgan has done. He admitted there are agents with no scruples, only interested in earning their commission at ever turning of a players career. 3) Having made their stand on Morgan not leaving they have to maintain it and would lose all creditability within the game were they to cave in. 4) If he hasn't done so already Morgan risks ruining his career, reputation if he doesn't honor his contract and creates a standoff. The agent related that Morgan was most likely tapped up by people with an agenda and doubts it would have been his advisers. That there is without doubt a media campaign being fed by interested persons or club and it was up to Saints board to deal with it. Unfortunately I can't recall all he discussed but as supporters we should get behind Morgan and make him quickly see why staying at the club is the best way forward. I'm hoping others have heard the program or the recording will appear online.
  14. It has yet to be proved that it was Florin who took a medical last week. It seems people were putting 2 and 2 together to make 5, that it was another player. Are we to believe the stories of him being injured and needed another medical or do we believe the Romanian media that he was coming to England on Monday..
  15. Since yesterday it's been reported that Florin has passed his medical. What will be taking the time will be the translation of his contract and other documents into Romanian. Finding a decent translator to start with will be hard enough.
  16. Before posting please read the previous posts and more importantly check when the article appeared on SkySports. This appeared yesterday morning and was updated at 5.53 pm 11th August Today is the 12th August. BOOM BOOM
  17. I'm pleased to hear that as I feel Morgan has to be left now to get back into being a Saint again. All the repetitive going over of it all just makes it harder for him and for the club. As Wes says, I too will be unforgiving if the club back down and cave in. This is what the club ought to have done from the start with the lot of them.
  18. If you read carefully what, it is just a rehash of what was said last Friday.
  19. St Matty Le Tiss!!!!!!!!!!Lol
  20. It says IF HE REFUSES. He trained today. This article is just more sh*te stirring to help Spurs get their man to our detriment

The Forum is famous now Gardoş just waiting for a sign from his agent, who is in England , to go to Southampton to visit medical and sign a contract for five seasons with the "Saints" Florin Garda (25) is very close to a transfer to Southampton, the team who finished in 8th place in the Premier League last season, but this season has a new coach, Ronald Koeman, which binds hopes more a high performance. The agent representing the Romanian defender is almost a week in England, but the talks confirmed the Dutch technician, not initial the paper and yet, as Southampton also seeks another footballer, Marcos Rojo (24), Argentine who impressed at the World Cup this year in Brazil , where national vice out. It's hard to believe that Southampton will offer more, because Ronald Koeman said recently that he does not like to bid. In addition, Manchester United seems to have entered on the line and blow it on Rojo "Saints". Rojo was one of the defenders who stood out in the latest edition of the World Cup "He broke the leg of an opponent. Welcome, Florin!" Southampton's fans forum, http://www.saintsweb.co.uk , created a topic named Romanian football player. Opinions are divided. 24. I see that he was born in Satu Mare in Transylvania, home to Count Dracula. Suarez likes to take a bite now and then, so can we believe Florin likes to suck..............blood!!! Some say that Transylvania sits on one of Earth's strongest magnetic fields and its people have extra-sensory perception. Vampires are believed to hang around crossroads on St. George's Day, April 23, and the eve of St. Andrew, November 29. The area is also home to Bram Stoker's Dracula, and it's easy to get caught up in the tale while driving along winding roads through dense, dark, ancient forests and over mountain passes. Dracula is literally translated in Gaelic as Drac Ullah meaning bad blood. Tales of the supernatural had been circulating in Romanian folklore for centuries when Irish writer Bram Stoker picked up the thread and spun it into a golden tale of ghoulishness that has never been out of print since its first publication in 1897. To research his immortal tale, Stoker immersed himself in the history, lore and legends of Transylvania, which he called a “whirlpool for the imagination.” Count Dracula, a fictional character in the Dracula novel, was inspired by one of the best-known figures of Romanian history, Vlad Dracula, nicknamed Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), who was the ruler of Walachia at various times from 1456-1462. Born in 1431 in Sighisoara, he resided all his adult life in Walachia, except for periods of imprisonment at Pest and Visegrad (in Hungary)
  25. Time for everyone to get behind the guy. He needs all the encouragement and support possible having decided to fall into line as Koeman requested. We definitely need him in the squad for Liverpool, although our hand has surely been strengthened by Clattenberg being the ref for the match.
