  10. Adam Blackmore tweets there will be commentaries for the game,. I presume on Radio Solent German TV have streams for the game which I'll post later. I'm sure the club wants to get maximum support so this information has been kept secret till now.
  11. The omens for parading players at the game have never been good since Augustino Delgado was paraded, accompanied by an incredible video showing his amazing skills. Sadly we were never to see them ba\r a goal against the Gunners.
  12. ‘Maybe Tottenham are pressuring Schneiderlin’ – Koeman warns wantaway star Southampton ‘will not change our minds’ in transfer row No saint: Koeman says if France star risks having a 'big problem' at Southampton Tom Allnutt Published: 09 August 2014 Updated: 12:13, 09 August 2014 Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has warned Morgan Schneiderlin he will have a "big problem" if he refuses to accept the club's decision to keep him at St Mary's. Schneiderlin held talks with Koeman and chairman Ralph Krueger on Friday morning where it was decided the midfielder was not "mentally prepared" to play on Saturday in a friendly against Bayer Leverkusen. The 24-year-old has the weekend off and will be given until Monday to come to terms with Southampton's stance on his future. "We made the decision about tomorrow's match together. If this is still the situation next week then Morgan has a big problem," Koeman said. "It's not an easy situation. I was a football player and moved from smaller clubs to bigger clubs. "But first of all, you have to know you signed a contract and you have to respect your contract. "We told Morgan to take two days off and think about the situation - because we will not change our minds. This is our decision. So we will see on Monday." Schneiderlin, who joined the Saints as an 18-year-old in 2008, has attracted interest from both Tottenham and Arsenal this summer. He is understood to be keen on a move to White Hart Lane and a reunion with manager Mauricio Pochettino, with whom he enjoyed a close relationship at Southampton. "I'm not so much angry because there's some different influences around the player," Koeman said. "Maybe Tottenham is pressing the player, maybe the agent is pressing the player - it's a difficult situation. "I understand that situation, I know from my experience how it works but we have to do what is the best for Southampton. "That is my job and even if I, in some ways, understand his situation I have to do the best for the club and that is keeping these kind of players." Schneiderlin experienced relegation to League 1 in his debut season at St Mary's before helping the club reach the Premier League with successive promotions. He has been a leading figure among a talented group of Saints players, several of whom have been allowed to leave this summer with Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers all departing. "No, it is not unfair (that he has not been allowed to leave like the others) - unfair is signing a new contract and wanting to go, that's unfair," Koeman said. "Not every player is the same and not every situation is the same." Koeman continued: "Even the situation when Dejan Lovren started pre-season, it was a little bit different. "He had the same desire to move and finally the club accepted the bid. "We can help the player and there is always a way back because I, as manager, will do what the best is for the club." Saphir Taider became Koeman's fourth signing of the summer this week following the arrivals of Dusan Tadic, Graziano Pelle and Ryan Bertrand. Taider arrives on loan from Inter Milan with troublesome striker Pablo Osvaldo going the other way in exchange. "Taider will bring quality," Koeman said. "He's still a young player, he's still 22 and he will bring real competition between the midfield players and we need that." The Saints boss confirmed the club are trying to complete deals for Sporting Lisbon's Marcos Rojo and Steaua Bucharest's Florin Gardos while adding he also wants another striker. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/maybe-tottenham-are-pressuring-schneiderlin--koeman-warns-wantaway-star-southampton-will-not-change-our-minds-in-transfer-row-9658973.html
  13. SPECIAL OFFER: 32 Euros or BUY 2 get one FREE for 64 euros Definition: An "illegal European immigrant " is what American define as Europeans who live in the States illegally. It has nothing to do with racism or sectorism. I guess those ill informed posters who spout their venom have never heard of Sting.
  14. That he is 100%. I have followed his posts for many a year. I regret, due to a terrific thunderstorm. not to have been online last night. How, in heavens name, do people who've been members for years anhd supported the club even longer, have to justify themselves as being a Saints fan. My admiration to you St Chalet for being a Mod with integrity and decency, and your attempts to uphold the policies and aims of this once great forum, which once was at the heart of the Saint Supporters community.
  15. The Club are perfectly within their rights to insist that Morgan stays. Why would they be in trouble were they force him to play with the reserves or send him on gardening leave. Did Liverpool not do exactly that last year. The club are paying him FFS. The club have shown themselves to be an exemplary employer, as has been shown in honoring to the full the contracts of such players as Sharp, Forte, Lee and others. It's tragic that Morgan's mind has been filled by greedy agents, the media and ex colleagues with behaving so unprofessionally. Prior to recent events I can't think of a more upstanding football player and good example to younger players. It is this reason he is considered so highly by management and fans alike as being center to our future planning.
  16. If the guy hasn't left Romania yet how could he have been the one for the medical??
  17. Koeman confirmed to the media after the PC " Schneiderlin trained with his team-mates this week, albeit spending two days separately as he regains fitness following an extended rest after the World Cup. I spoke to him and the situation has not changed - we don't sell Schneiderlin and he has to accept that" "The situation is difficult, the player makes it difficult," Koeman said. "I spoke to him with our chairman and the situation has not changed - we don't sell Schneiderlin and he has to accept that. "He will continue as a football player of Southampton. Now it is up to him."
  18. High time clubs took to the law and forced a precedent. Liverpool owner stood his ground and got a season more from Suarez. Unless we do so every single player is going to do the same. We have to stand firm, take this to the absolute limit, make an example of what not to do when you sign a contract with SFC, make it drift on beyond the end of the window so Morgan will find himself isolated and in complete mess. I'd hate this to happen to the guy but he' being pressurised to do things what he himself is not keen to do Pray tell me Duncan, who is Morgan's agent? No mention anywhere. He changed last year after 8 years with Thomas Coopers (?) It's the agent who should be on the receiving end of our wrath not Morgan.
  19. He looked tense and rather angry. He was working hard to control himself.
  20. It's not his head but his heart. His heart is ruling his head. He's throwing away everything including his career with France. Following Pochettino is one hell of a risky gamble. He may succeed but then again he may not and then where would it leave the likes of Morgan. Morgan is too sensitive and unable to see what he's doing to his future. Wenger showed his class today by selling their center back that Man U wanted to Barcelona.
  21. Last year only 10,000 turned up at St Mary's for the final big pre season game. Hope tomorrow we have half that number to send out a strong message the supporters aren't fools and expect the club pull their finger out. The squad is beginning to look like the remnants of an illegal European immigrant team.
  22. Shameful. The man deserves a 5 year deal. No wonder we're not signing decent players if 3 years or a 1 year loan is all we're offering.
  23. Shame we no longer have a decent lawyer at the club to launch a case against Spurs for unstablising one of our best players. They've been at it non stop thru all their media and rumour spreading buddies. The entire country are our witnesses. Something that hasn't been raised is that Morgan spent a week in Barcelona before he returned from vacation. It will be certain he will have met with Levy or other Spurs directors to lie up a contract. He's not doing his France career any good. They play mid September. Where ambition commences, so ends ones happiness................. Hungarian saying, which is very true.
  24. "I want more".............Oliver, you're becoming a very greedy boy!!!!
  25. Nice one! Obviously being lined up for the Liverpool game with Lovren as prime target!!! hehehe!!
