Rolf Harris now confirmed questioned re- sex offences

This explains the strained expression on the queens face when he painted her. -
Don't inhale. Once you get past the smell of it, (and I agree, its the vilest aroma known to man, and banned from carriage on airlines,) the taste is astonishing if you can just get it into your mouth without smelling it. In fact the locals term for it is "smells like hell, tastes like heaven." Up that road from the station to the Cameron Highlands, as soon as a truck stops by the road to sell them, the locals are onto it like it was the last food on earth. Another food tip that just occurred to me, we were staggering home after an evening on the sauce, spotted an inviting-looking glass-topped food vendors trolley. The guy chirped out to us, "duck soup?" Sounded good, until the wife said "er, duck soup? Quack quack?" The guy says "no, dog soup, woof woof" hahahaa. Mentioned this at the hotel the next morning to see whether that was a normal event, they said yes but dont have any. The neighbourhood dogs wont leave you alone for days, they smell it in your sweat.

This thread reminds me of when Turks tried to convince us that Jonno Quick ought to play centre back. He backed it up with info and stats, MLG-style., iirc

Brighton? Are you absolutely sure he isn't playing for Bournemouth?

Good good.

"Charity Muggers". The annoying people wielding clipboards who grab you on the high street and insist that you sign away £x per month to save the children/animals/geriatrics/disabled etc. -
I'd go to that game. Really, I would. Then walk over the road, get plssed at the Concorde and stay in their hotel overnight.

Red and White Stripes Black Shorts next year

........knee-length. -
This. I couldnt wait to get out of KL. Not much to see tbh, and humid as hell. Decent markets I suppose, and try a steamboat supper. Short trainride to the Cameron Highlands, grab a taxi (cheap) at the station, and if you feel brave, stop off for a slice of Durian on the long mountain road.

Hoping for a result, but expecting Swans 3 - Saints 1. Also, I'm with St Garrett on Davis, I reckon we'll be in with a far better shout if he starts.
-
I did wonder about that. Only mentioned it because The 9 seems to have some experience of them.

I thought he was exaggerating, but the Yellow Pages guy came round yesterday, he's from Cardiff. I mentioned that after last nights game they ought to be a point to the good and promoted, and no doubt be looking forward to the Swansea derbies next season, he laughed and said "I do put some value on my health". He reckons they make Saints/skates games look like friendly get-togethers.

Yep, twitchy to monumentally fail in his (supposedly) final challenge would add the icing to the cake. Sounds greedy, but thats what I'm hoping for next.

I agree. Just speculating as to why the comments might be happening.

Maybe something to do with the large Irish population in Boston?

Accidents are rarely amusing, and never so if somebody gets injured, but I had to suppress a cackle at that junction when I witnessed one. I was waiting in Bullar Road to head across towards Athelstan, with the Station on my right, two cars in front of me. The bloke at the head of the queue was patiently taking notice of the fact that oncoming traffic wasn't bothering to indicate left that they were coming down Bullar, and the bloke behind him (and in front of me) was blowing his horn for all he was worth. I remember thinking, well if he pulled out and they followed the road round, (which is what the lack of indication indicated if you get me,) he'd be the one causing an accident. Fast-forward two minutes, oncoming traffic dies down for a moment and the first car pulls across the junction. More oncoming traffic, not indicating. Bloke in front of me pulls out anyway at high speed, and collides head-on with an oncoming car that had taken the bend. I stopped to give my name as a witness etc, the bloke who'd pulled out was screaming at the other driver as to why he wasn't indicating right. It didn't seem to calm the situation when I pointed out that he didn't need to given the road layout, in the end the police happened by and sorted it. -
He did indeed. Its probably time that the board reciprocated, and admitted that Southampton made a mistake in appointing him.

Oddly enough, I cant remember a single thing about the day, where I was or what I was doing. And only a vague recollection of the newsflashes later in the evening.

The "youre so money supermarket" ads. And the fact that I remember their name. -
So, what exactly do you propose that the current authorities should do about it 24 years later? And its a little naive to baldly state that "its not about the money". The solicitors for the families of the 96 said straight off that the apology would open the way for proper compensation to be paid (and rightly so imo.)

I was about to post exactly that. In fact, I nominated this phenomenon on C*nts Corner not long ago, one of my rare vitriolic rants. (same username if anyones interested;) ) I'm a peaceful man, but I could cheerfully smash the noses of the growing number of irritating tw*ts who adopt this infuriating americanised posturing. -
They have had that now, in the form of a full governmental apology and full acceptance of the facts of the disaster. I'm sure the relatives are now in line for compensation, dont really see what more "justice" can be effected at this stage.
