Not really a valid comparison, imho. I've been as frustrated as anyone about Gastons performances of late, but he has clearly been bought in as a young talent to nurture, rather than a redknapp-type over the hill player who can maybe do a job til the end of the season. Lets face it, how many of us were overwhelmed by J-Rod when he first arrived, and thought "f*cking hell, thats £7M well spent??" We're just now starting to see why he was brought in, and its paying off in spades. I reckon Ramirez will live up to the hype.
