You are correct. Nobody on here was calling for a fair deal for Burley.

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich
scotty replied to patred44's topic in The Saints
Be fair, Ramirez does at least take the trouble to run straight into the defenders before falling down. -

I wonder what Bearsy would have posted on this thread if he'd still been alive? -
Amusing article on Lambert and Lallana (from a Hammer)
scotty replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Be honest turks, do you really reckon it would be perfectly reasonable for Saints to flog them Lambert for £6m and chuck in Lallana as a sweetener, as the WHU muppet suggests? -
What ever happens to saints we will not be this bad

lol. Reminds me a little of England v San Marino. My dad and I were settling down to watch it, the commentators were going through the possible permutations; we needed to score seven and hope other teams lost, etc.... then kick off. And San Marino scored, the fastest goal in the tournament (if not ever,) and I think it was their first ever international goal from open play. We just looked at each other, then p*ssed ourselves laughing, such a build-up, and the look on Stuart Pearce's face was priceless. -
This one was all bass and no treble. Speech was practically inaudible.

I'm glad he got bird, but not so sure about his ex missus getting the same treatment. Usually, during marital breakups, the woman ends up being the more vulnerable party, and given the nature of that horrifying phone conversation that was aired it strikes me that she had a very strong case of marital coercion.

Thats an odd one at this stage of the season. Last throw of the dice from the boardroom?

I have met Animal, top bloke. (Aka Ronnie Verrell, RIP. Master of the drumkit, sadly missed. Certifiable, but sadly missed.) -
Do the stereo ones have tone adjustment? I was a bit shocked that this one didnt, it was nearly a hundred quid. It did have wifi iplayer incorporated into it, which was why I bought it. That didnt work very well either, kept freezing part way through programmes.
-
Why are you imagining him? Pervert. He was Bearsy's b*tch, show some respect for the dead.
-
I bought a Pure One, took it back after three days. The sound quality was appalling, no tone control and horribly bass-heavy/treble light, no use at all for speech which is what I mainly listen to. Argos do a Bush stereo one for fifty quid, far better, (no cd though.)

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
scotty replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Its an internet-thing, Prof. Like saying "teh" instead of "the", "should of" is used to denote mild cynicism, or to detract from the central message of the statement in order that the statement isn't taken too seriously. You should of known that. -
If they were Saints goals, might I suggest that you take a laxative 30 minutes before every game?

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
scotty replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I reckon Ramirez has shown conclusively that he oughtn't to be taking set pieces. He's had chance after chance, its just not his thing, awful corners today. -

Clattenburg is an utter c*nt. That was an appalling decision. Hats off to Boruc, tho. -
Thank f*ck for that.

I've been a Saints fan for way too long to retain any shreds of optimism. The OP might have a point about the current setup, but I was born in 1961 and followed the mighty Saints man and boy. I can safely say that the disappointment has vastly outweighed the euphoria. (Which, in a way, makes the euphoric moments that bit more special.)

No, he was the right-wing guy. I think his original username was Dune-Bear, he was always banging on about "da nazis" and maggie thatcher.

Bearsy would of known...... *sobs*

We might be thinking of different tackles? The one I recall was deep in our own half with nobody within passing distance, and he jumped out of the way of a really nasty lunge right on the byline, in a position where keeping the ball in play at the expense of an injury would have been pointless. And yeh, that long-ranger would have been one hell of a goal, dont remember the header tbh.
-
Lets not forget MLT, who got booed for not getting his leg broken in order to win a free kick instead of a throw in 20 yards from the England goal line. And iirc, the only England player to come within sniffing distance of scoring, with a trademark long-range dipping volley that beat the keeper and skimmed the bar.
-
Care to expand on that statement, Sue? Its what bearsy would have wanted.

Yep. RIP.
