  2. if there was ever an incentive to keep breathing, that is it.
  3. this is amusing, especially after the c*nt's theatrical display of diving at St Marys; http://newsthump.com/2011/03/07/manchester-uniteds-nani-out-for-weeks-with-damaged-vagina/
  4. Whats the afterlife like then? Any good?
  5. straying off topic, have we sold Pulis yet?
  6. dune got absolutely reamed for saying something similar on the post match thread
  7. I aim to please incidentally, if youve been on the cigs for 50 years, wont you have already done any damage that youre likely to? (serious question)
  8. speaking of inheritances, did you leave me that wheelchair?
  9. lol, but on a point of order it always worries me when the mother announces "I'm just going to put him down...."
  10. I was going to add to Patricks post that I hoped BTF didnt have her monthly as well, but decided that would be tasteless
  11. this. It has gone a bit quieter than usual lately, but tbf I'm not broken hearted about that (as long as it doesnt last too long, of course....)
  12. is that why they call you stanley?
  13. Do tell. Unless the punchline inludes the words "crushed asian"...
  14. "f*ck, I'm p*ssed" hth
  15. agreed, we were right on top of that and I still dont understand why the ref or lino didnt see it. Or if he did see it, why he allowed the retake. In fact, I thought the ref was pretty poor throughout tbh, we were also close to that bad tackle on AL, did he even give a foul for that?
  16. I was a bit concerned about that nasty tackle on AL near the end of the first half, he pulled up and didnt look at all comfortable for a while. Was quite surprised he came out for the second half. Also not happy whenever Fonte and KD have to interact, that always looks like an accident waiting to happen. Pluses, 3 points (of course) and bournemouth losing, and we looked good second half. Agree with the comment above about Gobern, I was impressed with him. Yeovil came to play a proper game and pressed us well first half, at least they didnt do a brighton at St Marys and play a spoiling game.
  17. my fourpence worth, I felt that a spontaneous tribute from the fans, as opposed to an organised minutes silence/applause, was the more appropriate gesture. I thought it was pretty moving myself, and yeh, I was in 37 as well. Dean Richards was a great player for us, its a pity he shipped out with hoddle once his contract had been bought out.
  18. Do you really think that the current coalition government is weak in the sense that they cant get their policies through, or weak in the sense that they are having to take the views of another party (who they chose to go into coalition with) into account? I personally wish that the Thatcher era had been some sort of coalition rather than a free run at privatising everything that stood still in order to make her city friends rich. I also wish blair hadnt had such an easy time of railroading us into iraq.
  19. Can you really be 100% sure it hasnt? (serious philosophical question...)
  20. ...four words that sit together so badly...
  21. the crucnching tackles point also applies to MLT's england game at wembley. One brilliant shot on goal, a dipper from 30 yards out that had the keeper beat and went very narrowly over the bar, our best attempt on goal that night as I recall it, gets completely ignored by the fans. Contrast that with a jump out of the way of a really horrible sliding tackle in our own half by the touchline which was clearly meant to be a legbreaker, and the crowd were on his back for the rest of the night. The pigsh*t thick crowd would rather have seen him carried off the pitch winning the ball in our own half, which he did anyway by getting a throw in, than have him stay on the pitch as the only potential match winner england had that night.
  22. dear god, thirty quid for a pair of worn socks, wtf?
  23. true story Sue, a couple of years ago a mate had a holiday to thailand planned. We were ribbing him in the pub about steering clear of the ladyboys, things arent always what they seem hahahaa, he said no problem, I'll just flip her over and do her up the wrong'un. I said what the hell do you mean, "her", and he replied "its too late by then to be fussy"
  24. dunes flipped a few of those over in his time. He gets his moneys worth from those thai holidays
  25. In my particular trade, I can honestly say that whenever somebody calls me out to service an item that "we snapped up on ebay", (and that has happened maybe 300 times over the last few years,) it has never once been worth the money they paid for it, or even close to that. In fact, more often than not, any dealer in the country would have scrapped it rather than risk selling it with any kind of guarantee. If you know what you're doing then buy, if you dont, use the poker adage and decide whether or not you can spot the sucker round the table. If you cant, you're it.
