More to the point, I'm at a loss to understand what alps wants us to do about it. Its all well and good to categorise posters as negative or positive thinkers, but could we really have signed any players better than we have done? who were prepared to play in this division? As for the manager, how many were there available to choose from that had already taken a team up from this division or were more familiar with it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Lambert and Barnard the top scorers in League One? Plus we managed to keep hold of Lallana and AOC against a lot of predictions. If you look at other fan websites they consistently say we have the best squad in the division. There was even a link to the brighton site posted on here recently where somebody said he'd predicted that Saints would be their biggest rivals this season, another brighton fan (probably his boyfriend) said wow, so you predicted that the club with the most money, the best players and the biggest fanbase etc etc...... What else is there to do? If somebody who was at the game would tell me if there was a lack of effort from the players I could understand it, but in the games Ive seen this season that has not been an issue.

apologies to Derek. What I suggest is that we get up a working group with the aim of getting our womenfolk to shoulder their fair share of driving duties. What sends me ballistic is when she bleats about not wanting to drive so she can have a drink, then when we get wherever it is she sips a small glass of white wine then switches to soda water for the rest of the evening. Far as I'm concerned, if she coerces me into driving duties she damn well ought to get proper p*ssed.

This is getting more confusing by the second. The commentary on solent suggested that we were playing very well indeed and unlucky not to have wrapped it up in the first half, then they decided to give us the skates game instead. Half the posters on here are saying we were utter sh*te, and the other half think we played well, created loads of chances that on another day could have gone in, then got mugged by a sucker punch. Now we've got a couple of reports from fans at the game and I'm still none the wiser.
